VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Spacer Question

This might belong in the wheel and tire forum but it only has to do with spacers so Im gonna put it here in hopes of not making anyone angry. I have searched and cannot find an answer to my question I swear. I am looking at the 8mm or 10mm ECS spacers here . If you scroll down to the ones with bolts the description for the 8mm spacers says Fits OEM wheels only or wheels that use OEM ball seat. Exclusively

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 What size spacers

I have some Eibach springs which when some Koni FSD shocks arrive is said to lower a vehicle about 30mm. Id appreciate views on what size spacers to order for this drop and these wheels. The image below shows the distances from the outer extremity of the tyre to the outside of the fender as it sits now (not as pictured but flat). The tyres in line with B are already well outside the fender. What thickness

hi just bought 18 alloys et45 with 2254018 tyres also have h&r 40mm springs im wonder what size of wheel spacers i can fit without rubbingIm driving 2007 passat estate sorry for my writing English its not my first language cheers

OVERALL width is 7.5. It means that the measurement between the outboard flange and the inboard flange is 7.5). Next divide that width of the wheel by two this will give you the centerline of the wheel. Overall width2 Centerline After determining the centerline measure from the hub-mounting surface of the hub to the edge of the inboard flange (if the wheel were laying flat on the ground face up

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT Hubcentric Spacers 5mm

So I might be running 5mm spacers all around on my B5.5 4Mo The ones I see are simply flat spacers with the correct 57.1 hub opening However this seems to me like it just pushes the wheel 5mm off of the hub that it would sit on and that sounds like a horrible idea to have the wheel less supported. Can someone explain to me why this is not the case or confirm that it is indeed a bad idea

Whoa hold the phone. Youre in New Berlin My grandparents live there I grew up in West Allis in Elkhorn now but thats a short drive. Do you work in a machine shop there in the New Berlin industrial park I was planning on drilling out my mercedes alloy wheels (waiting for drill bits to arrive) but if we could figure something out with your capabilities that would be super. VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT 17x7 42mm offset withoout spacers

Got a set of 17x7 with 42mm offset. Will threy be fine without spacers with a 225 45 17

The bolt diameter will typically be either 12mm or 14mm if a bolt doesnt fit the wheel chances are your wheel is for 12mm diameter (a 13mm hole) and the bolt is 14mm. All cone seats will be 60 degrees for the most part Up to you to make sure your wheels have a cone seat and not a ball seat

Trust me. They are up for sale but still trying to make them work. They are only 17.5 lbs each for an equivilent weighing wheel it would cost me over 1200... So like I said Im trying to really get these to fit before spending that much... I found hub conversion from 5x112 that bolt up to the stock hub and has studs that are 5x114.3 . Only thing is the thinnest one is 15mm... So Is 10mm more then the 5mm I need too much

No you will be fine with the 15mm spacerpattern conversion Go with those 15mm spacers and call it a day. Just make sure to get the proper tuner lug nuts and figure out what to do for a spare tire (i.e. get a steelie thats 5x114.3 and takes your new lug nuts) For some perspective you would need an offset of just 5 to be flush with 7 wide wheels. For your wheels that means it can take spacers at least up to 37mm. So 15mm spacers will be just fine.

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Fuel rail spacer

Today Ive pulled my fuel rail in order to change the stock 210cc injectors to 310cc Ford racing ones (red tops). It is a small test project with a larger MAF house and the OEM MAF sensor. I followed the write-up of CB5 to remove the old injectors. Ive measured the distance with the red tops installed space is 10mm. Can someone confirm this What is the space with 440cc (green tops) injectors Stock injectors are the 06B 133 551 B 0 280 155 825. The Ford injectors have Bosch number 0 280 150 945.

may be too much fuel even at 3 bar (36hr). Should fit without spacers though. The ones in your picture will require spacers and you may get a different spray pattern because of the different type of nozzle. None of my lists show the flow of your stock injectors are they 240cc or 270cc Assuming theyre 270ccs it looks like youre after about a 16% fuel increase not sure what maf housing you ended up

I thought the redgreen tops are EV1 mine are for sure EV12 style injectors. I always had the impression the injectors are 210cc3bar not 270cc . My OEM FPR is 4 bar. The only source I have is Scotts page httpclam.rutgers.edudreadsctre..._injectors.htm The idea came right up from Vortex Im using the V6 MAF housing (071 906 461 A or B) with the original 1.8T sensor. OEM ID is 60mm the new one has an ID

Great thanks a bunch. Looks like my GT2860r will have no problem with a filter on it. I messed up on the title reminder dont make threads when waking up from a nap lmao.

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 wheels spacers and chains

I have an 00 2.8 wagon (b5) that I put a set of newer VW vision style 17 wheels with 22545-17 tires on (54mm offset). this makes the car way more fun but there is very tight clearance to the suspension the car is stock suspension and might get new shocks but will not be lowered by me. but will not be lowered by me. I live in WA state and need to be able to run chains for winter mountain passes so i am thinking of putting a set of 8 or 10mm wheel spacers on to allow for this. is this a reasonable idea the other option is to buy the swiss spikes of thule summit chains but that is alot more money. thanks Ive found chains to be a huge PITA on Passats due to the location of the Upper

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B6 Rim Spacer

Ive searched the site for almost 2 hours reading about rim spacers but all seem to be related to either a sucked in look or spacing out for an aftermarket wider rim. I rotated my tires this weekend for the first time of owning the car and found a small ring (doesnt look like any rim spacer Ive researched) only on the drivers front hub. Im currently running a 23545R17 tire on obviously an aftermarket

Is it a spacer that moves the wheel away from where it bolts to the disk Or is it a centering ring that makes the after market rim fit centered on the hub There are two ways wheels are centered. Some cars are lug-centric where the lug bolts are what centers the wheel. Some cars are hub-centric where the hub is what centers the wheel. Your Passat is Hub-centric. The stock wheel has a hole in the center that fits exactly around the hub. This fitment centers the wheel. After market wheels often have a larger hole in the center. With these you need to use the proper size centering rings to make that centering fitment happen. Running without proper centering rings can cause all sorts of unbalance symptoms. Sometimes when you remove a wheel with a centering ring the ring stays in the wheel. Sometimes it stays on the hub. I wonder if when you rotated tires the other rims came off with the ring inside but this one came off and left the ring on the hub You will need to pull the wheels again and inspect to see what you have going on there. If you are missing rings you need to get some. Centering rings dont cost much. Call The Tire Rack and tell them exactly what rims you have and what car you have. They should be able to set you up with the proper rings. Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels

Im pretty sure you will lose a good percentage (15-30% -) when you switch gears. NO. This whole thing is wrong. First off Forges ATM spacer is most definitely not a blow-off valve...in sound or performance. Second it slightly affects performance of autos or manuals for the same reason (but nowhere near 15-30% power). The reason for this is due to some of the recirculated air (from the DV set-up)

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Wheel Spacers for 17 Classixs

I just put some tires on my 17 Classixs and good news they are just too wide for my current hub. Front Tires are 1cm from the control arm and the Rear Tires are just touching the springs. Ive never used spacers before so i have no idea on the size. So my question how many mm do i need to have these wheels sitting safe in the car Having wheels in the shed isnt fun

well obviously any size will get it away from the control arm. anything bigger than 5mm and i believe you need new bolts. if you want that wide rear look get 15 or 20 for the back and 5 8 or 10 up front. ECS sells them.

One tick this car has that I cannot defeat is

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B6 Wheel Bolt question

My alloys are et 42 can i run a 5mm spacer so giving me et37 with the standard bolts

Technically you can run up to a 5mm spacer on the stock 28mm wheel bolts but it is a matter of personal preference. I personally prefer to run a slightly longer wheel bolt on 3mm spacers but like I say technically you can run stock bolts on up to a 5mm spacer. If you decide you want need longer wheel bolts we do have them available (along with spacers). OEM wheels will use a ball seat bolt and most aftermarket wheels will use a conical seat bolt. httpwww.ecstuning.comvolkswagen-...aignpostreply

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B6 6 speed auto 09G ATF fluid change and filter DIY

All the write-ups I have found for ATF are for the DSG transmissions. The procedure is different for the 6 speed 09G tiptronics and I had to go it alone since no one here or on vwvortex seemed to know how. The differences are the different filter and location and a different tool is required for the oil pan for the DSG trannies you just need the VAS 6262 tool but that tool wont work for the 09G tiptronic.
