I have a 2005 cls
55 on 19 63 wheels with renntech lowering module. I cant help but feel the rear looks too narrow in the arches and was wondering what spacer
s I should get. Also if there are any pics that anyone has on the combo would be great. My car is silver. Many thanks
Someone on CL up for sale a cheap cls
wheels. Id like to know if these wheels & tires will fix on my S430 2004 without spacer
well a spacer would actually make the fit worse so if they are gonna fit theyd do so without a spacer. That said it might be close. Im working on the same dilemma right now.
I am thinking the offset will not be high enough. You are going to get rubbing on the outside edge.
12 the stock wheels have a 44mm offset. cls wheels should have a 38mm offset. 6mm is less than 14.
The rear cls wheels are wider than 220 wheels I believe.
Does anyone recommend any particular manufacturer for wheel spacer
s Also Im not sure if I can get away with using them only on the rear or if I should put some on the front as well.
Ive heard good things about H&R but I havent used them myself.
I have H&Rs on my car. Hub-centric and no issues. I only have them on the back.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows if 2006 cls
AMG 5 spoke staggered rims would fit on a 2010 c class Im looking into it and i have gotten mixed answers (no maybe yes) the only thing would be the front if the rims go to deep and touch the spring. Does anybody know if it would work I dont just want to buy em and try it

Hi I recently bought cls
500 stock wheels for my Clk320. they are 18X8.5 front offset 28mm 18X9.5 back offset 33 mm I did read alot about wheels and (correct me if Iam wrong) now i know that cls
SLS and CL have similar wheels and C CLK Slk have different also the difference is Offset and lug nut thickness (14mm for cl group 12mm for clk group) Now offset can be corrected my using wheel spacer
Hello I just bought new Vertini wheels for the cls
in 85 and 10x20. I have to use spacer
s with plastic center rings. I didnt get the wheels in balance and took it to a tireshop to balance them. They noticed that the spacer
s didnt sit tight on the center of the brakedisk. You can move the spacer
a little bit up and down. The dimension of the centerring should be correct (666 mm) but is clearly not.
Hi guys Im looking for advice as to the bestcheapest way to lower my cls
500. Ive been doing a lot of research lately and have come across 3 possible methods none of which sound very good to me either because of the home rigging methods or not enough drop for the price. I guess my first question is going to be how much does everyone recommend dropping it. My personal opinion is that a 2 drop is needed
Hello everyone. My wife and I are new owners of an CPO 09 cls
550 - Flint Gray with 12k miles. It is mintnew condition and looks drives feels fantastic. As a new owner I am somewhat unfamiliar with everything with the car but the dealer went over stuff for about 2 hours with me after the purchase. I was just curious if there are any specific things I should do or need to do for this car. The car came
Great Welcome As far as tweaks upgrades and changes go are you talking performance-wise or aesthetically Or did you find something that you dont like about your cls I know Ive had mine for about 5-6 months and every drive is still a pleasant surprise haha. Aesthetically with your AMG body kit maybe think about a front spoiler.. It gives it a little more aggressivelower look from the front. Heres an

I have 20 x 10 inch wide wheels on the rear of my car with no spacers. (and 20 x 9 inch fronts) My wheels are made by Roderick Wheels and the model is the Ruleta RW-1 with black lips.
hi i just picked up 2006 cls
500 wheels. they are 18x8.5 et28 front and rear is 18x9.5 et33 the tires i know i need to change to 22540 front and 25535. but the question is will they fit and if they do will they rub due to small offset
thats what i got now. 12mm spacers in rear. front sticks out without them because of the low offset. 28et in front and 21et in rear with the 12mm spacers in rear. i was thinking about getting 22540 in front and 23540 for rear or even 22540 in rear too. 215 will be alittle too stretched as he has those on his 202 with cls wheels
What is the most practical method of lowering a new 2012 cls
550 a slight amount. Maybe 12-34 in front 1 or 1 2 in the rear

I was told the suspension in a little different on the new 12s so the old method will not work. That is a bummer as it only cost 100 labor and no parts
Hi I have seen a nice set of 20X8.5 with the offset for the cls
However the setup is not staggered so its all 4 the same and the recommend going with 245 all around. Is that Ok or will it look stranger They have the same offset on all 4 as well. I am not a crazy driver and 99% of the time its just to go to work at the common speed limits.. Thanks
Not smart to do .......but it is possible....you need a 15 mm spacer front n 25mm spacer s for rear.......also change the rear tire to 265 or 275 Atleast ...... even better dont buy universal wheels for your cls......get proper offset wheels
hi all cls
fanatics i own a cls
500 and currently have the standard 18 inch rims under my car. now i have found some cool rims from mec design 20 inch. the front will be 24530 and rear will be 28525 with spacer
s front and rear can u owners off 20inch cls
rides tell me how this will decrease my comfort for riding my cls
or is it not so bad at all. hope u can tell me something about this. greetings from the netherlands
Just picked up an cls
55. Wow what a great car. Want to lower it but cant decide links or mod. The mod seems like a lot of money and cuttting and splicing wires makes me nervous. But it looks like most guys are going with the mod. Any input would be great.
If you mechanically lower your cls you may have a stability problem at higher speeds - the automaticcomputerized system automatically lowers the cls (all models) at higher speeds. I would not do it with washers and spacers (the KMart fix). My cls 63 AMG needs no lowering - the system is pre-set (neither does the 55). However I bought my daughter a cls 500. She wanted it as low as Dads car - I took
What is the max you can lower the cls
with 2553021 and 2952521 Also besides the module should I use the lowering links found on ebay Or does someone else have a more cost effective method I saw the spacer
swashers method however no one in central florida knows how to do it I would rather have someone else do it instead of myself and am located in central florida. Thanks
hey guys what is the dub size of the cls
because i want to buy new rims and does it fit on the w212 the new e-class does this size fit its a carlsson revo 19 85J x 19 ET 45 LK 112 please let me know
The correct size of rims for cls is (in 19) 85x19 with ET 28 in front and ET 18 rear So I dont think you can use the mentioned rims without spacers. I tried 85x20 (front) with ET 42 on my car and it didnt fit....
Yes. Ive searched. I am on a mobile device and its not being friendly. Please help me. I drive a 2006 cls
500 and I want to put 20s on. Ive found 2 sets locally and am confused as hell. The first are Mandrus Millenium- 20x8.5 et25 front and 20x10 et 32 for rear with 24535 20 in front and 295 30r20 in rear. I saw pictures on the car they came off its the size mandrus website calls out for yet when I
A spacer would correct the offset but the 29530-20 tire is more than an inch larger diameter than the 29525-20. A spacer might not prevent the tire from hitting the outer wheel arch.

Im interested but how sure are you they fit the 2007 cls 550 How wide are they front rear I dont want to use spacers or adapters or anything like that and have to be sure the tire pressure monitor would work also. If they work some pics would be needed of course.
was looking into purchasing a set of wheels for my car didnt know if cls
style would fit or not and good replica places Its an 06 c230...Thanks
cls likely has a totally different offset than the C class and likely wont fit without spacers.
Hi guys after lowering my cls
500 about 1.5 inches and putting 20 wheels on it the camber in the rear wheels is off substantially. You can visually see the rear wheels leaning towards the center. I took the car to mercedes
and they said they cant do anything because the car has been lowered. I took it to a tirealignment store and they printed me off a sheet from their tech book that says the rear camber
Thanks Mark your car looks great I live in Omaha and have NOTHING here Even the local benz dealer is now scared of my car because its lowered etc... I lowered it myself using the front spacer method and the rear notch method Kevin. The rear tires are leaning in hard.........gotta figure something out. Im not even driving it.........just sitting in my garage

Did a quick search on offsets and E55 wheels and got the general idea that offsets are to be in their 28s-35ish... My buddy has a set of rims that came off a 2005 E55. SPECS 19x10 et45 19x8.5 et 40 Will these wheels look sucked in or do I need spacer
s Longer lug nuts Any quick info is greatly appreciated. I am riding on a donut right now and its NOT going well since Im getting bitched at by gf since she cant take my car and its a stick.... ARGH.
i been thinking lately to switch my wheels from my E class to the cls
. i thought it wouldnt fit however i read a post today at the E-55 forum that they put our cls
wheels on their E. and it fits. anyone can validate that information i have no knowledge of offset and other technical info. thanks
thanks for the info. maybe i can order a set of spacer to fill that gap...
That may be an issue with regards to the bolt length. The spacer may shorten the bolt to the point where you wont have enough thread for the wheel.
Hey i was looking at som graphite giovanna mecca wheels for my cls
20x8.5 and 20x10 the offset for the rims are 35et in the front and 40et in the rear will that work Tires are 24535r20 and 28530r20 Thanks
Cannot go over 25 unless you want to use spacers.
So lets do the math just on the front wheels. OEM is et25 with 8.5 wheels. If we go to a 9 wheel and keep the et25 then it will evenly add 14 to the inside and outside of the wheel. This is because the et25 offset is based on the centerline of the wheel. Do you think adding 14 to the outside will cause a problem with yours being lowered Do you have oem wheels on there now Grab a ruler and see what
I am taking delivery of my cls
this week and wanted to know who has lowered theirs and how I understand this a lowering module as an option but has anyone done something different than that
No lucking getting any of the local dealers to do it but you can do it yourself pretty easily and for basically free. Up front washers spacers are added to the brackets for the Airmatic control rods on each side -- the effect is to lengthen these brackets which lowers the front suspension. In the rear there is a single control rod anchored to an aluminum bracket which in turn is secured by two screws
The drop looks great. How many spacerswashers did you use Also how big was the notch that you made Is looks very straight forward but any other tipshints Thanks Shane
So i i am trying to get some H&R wheel spacer
s and i mesured from my tires to the inside of the fender it was 12mm so i was ready to order them. Now im on H&R site looking up and they are saying CLK550 needs 30mm spacer
s.... any input on this would be apreciated.

Stance offsets and lipage look sick but the design is very hot rodish on the face of the wheel. I want my car to be super flush like that. Ed Can we roll my rear fenders some more to add a bigger spacer on my rear wheels Its not the top arch of my fender well that needs it...its the outer ends that need it.

Whenever you want I dont really like the diamonds on the wheels but I think they look sick. Its not something you see everyday.
I can come up on some for a decent price. Hopefully they can fit. Or how about 2005 e500 18s Im not sure on the offsets of either but greatly appreciate any help. Thanks guys. Here are the rims.
it should fit with some spacers and extended lug bolts... get more info on the width of the wheel offset and maybe some stretch how low are you
Hi guys am in the process of choosing some new rims for my cls
55 am really drawn to the Rohana rc22 wheel 11j rears and 9j front the rears to show off the HUGE concave. Would appreciate your thoughts.
Haha youre welcome and thanks for the compliment There are no spacers thats how they sit out of the box. Are you going with the silver or black finish Have you been quoted prices yet I got mine for 1400 shipped WITH sensors too. Lmk if you need the shops name to get a quote. Good luck
Thanks for looking everyone Ive been looking for a new set of wheels to go on the wifeys 01 SLK and love the 5-spoke cls
wheels. Ive searched through old threads concerning fitment and am a little confused. Some say they wont fit(due to offset wheel bolt size etc) while other say they will. I found a couple pics on here showing them mounted but didnt know if they were knockoffs or not. So whats the official word will the 18s fit regards Matt
Having gone through quite an ordeal getting my S class 220 series wheels to fit correctly I can appreciate you finding a style wheel you like that isnt OEM SLK. The offsets appear to be alright the 28 being much more of an issue than the close to stock 33. Keep in mind that these wheels already have offsets that prevent you from using spacers to increase the distance from the hub. Hopefully they fit as I would love to see them on an R170
Based on the info Ive read on this forum I was always sure that my OEM (8.5x18 and 9.5x18) wheels offsets were 25F and 28R. I just looked at the inside of the wheel and found out that its actually 28 for the front and 33 for the rear...Really confused right now. PS The only reason i went to check was -because Ive bought new set of wheels (8.5x20 and 10.5x20) with 40 and 45 offsets and i was trying to figure out what spacer
s i will need...
