MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Window mechanism change

Can somebody with a current EPC check if the window lifting mechanism has changed since the 02s introduction I saw this eBay auction - httpcgi.ebay.dewseBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item7948287515&rd1&sspage nameSTRK%3AMEWA%3AIT Which roughly translates We offer here a complete nearly new mercedes g-model463 window lifters (because of change developed). MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Rear Window issues (06 G500)

I have a new-to-me 2006 G500 On Friday evening the driver-side rear window went down but wouldnt come back up (either by remote outside the vehicle driver control or control on window). Twenty minutes later as I frantically drove towards the dealer the window magically yet slowly and reluctantly went back up. I havent touched it since for fear of abusing my good fortune. And so my question... I thought

from what ive read it sounds like theyve only very recently truly fixed the window issue. in short it wasntisnt an electrical problem they just designed in a mechanical flaw with the cheaper mechanisms at the 2002 redo of the interior...where they offest the lifter mechanism resulting in the eventual binding and failure of it... and quite costly to update to the entirely new system which puts the lifter

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 HELP FRONT WINDOW STUCK IN DOWN POSITION

1997 E 420 - My drivers side window is stuck in the down position I dont know whether its the regulator or the switch. But is there someway to get that window back up in case it rains or until I can figure this thing out

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Changing window regulator and door lock- POLL

So i have to do a couple of repairs - the window regulator and the rear door lock. I am not a DIY person on these types of repairs. So my question to you all is Are these two repairs that can be done by a body shop person or an indy or do you recommend that these are dealer only repairs I will be supplying the parts in both cases.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G 3 Gs. 3 Windows. Does Graz know or care

So to my 03 G500 in the US and my 03 G500 in Switzerland I can add my 05 G270 also in Switzerland as victim of the Grinds To A Halt Usually Open window syndrome. I can forget about taking my US one to Mexico I can forget about taking my European ones to Italy. Breaking the glass is always a potential but the G now offers no need to do that you can be sure one or other window wil stick down far enough

Thanks for that comment - unfortunately none of the conditions you describe have been present dustice etc. Usually it happens just after a toll booth or somewhere handy. I guess the most pertinent observation was the off-center cable explanation. I had 5 Gs in a row 1985-2000 and none of them had the window problem probably because as noted they had centered lifting mechanisms. I just hope my imminent new arrival has some modification

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS V 6382 Drivers door panel removal

Hi MB Vanatics (2004 Vito 115 crewbus) I tried to close my drivers side window (right hand drive for New Zealand) and all I heard was a lot of clunking and things falling And of course the window would not go up or down. It has since fallen into the door cavity Something has obviously come undone - so I need to know how to remove the inner door panel so I can have a look fix it. Can someone please help - pictures or You Tube would be good if possible Thanks in advance .. ed from NZ.

2 common things that go wrong (with all lifting windows) the winding mechanism strips and the window slowly drops. the window glass is located in a channel that is raised and lowered by the winder.... the glass sticks in the top of the window frame.. either from something sticky in the top rubber or because ice has gripped it..... the window is wound down.. the glass stays up... they part company as

MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 How to install window slider blocks.

According to the 107 manuals I have removal of the outer trim strips on the top edge of the doors (where it meets the window glass) sbe at 68-516. The problem is- there is no 68-516. I need to install missing window slider blocks and I presume I need to remove the glass. My window goes up and down ok but rattles around when its down because of missing blocks. The adjustment needs fixing too but theres not much point in doing that before putting in the blocks

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS S III 140 10 years of documented ownership

Since 2001 45972 has been spent. I have owned the car since 2006 and have included the invoices that I got with the car and all of mine since I have had her. This is on 1995 S500. IMO she was a lemon. My father owns a 1993 500SEL has put 110 of that amount into his and she is in perfect running condition. He has also owned a W126 and claims to have never spent a dime on anything but basic maintenance.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Wagon rear windscreen wiper

Hi guys the rear wiper on my wagon is behaving oddly. in normal running it wipes in short pieces that are random. you turn it on and it may wipe 14 of the screen then the next wipe will do a 34 wipe then a 13 wipe etc etc however if you go into reverse it does a full screen wipe as its supposed to. If you use the rear washer it does the full 3 wipes of the screen and parks. It just doesnt work properly

Sorry I should have mentioned I had checked the switch and was getting full contact. I went out and removed the motor and disassembled and re-greased. Looks like some small amount of water had got in at some point but nothing major. the spindles were all dirty and the tracks on the wheel were pretty crudded over. I cleaned the whole assembly sanded the contact runs and greased it all back up again

MERCEDES BENZ 124 124 Does this sound like I need a new window regulator

I havent had a chance to pull apart the door panel yet but the other day I was raising the drivers window and at the very top of its travel it made a very loud bangingratcheting sound. I immediately let off of the button. It was loud almost as if someone was smacking a stick on the outside of the door. I lowered it and all was normal but again at the very top of the travel as it contacts the upper seal it makes that sound. Is this worn teeth on a portion of the regulator

I had to replace a window regulator on a 1993 300E because of worn teeth at the top of the gear arc. The symptom I had was that it would not close all the way because the teeth were worn as the motor gear teeth would not engage. I had no noise associated with my worn teeth issue. Maybe something else let loose in there. I believe that mechanism has that plastic lifting Jaw that wears out with regularity.

Ok so the roof on my slk doesnt work and the shops cannot fix it the problem with it is that the roof or the trunk lid wont lift or move at all does anybody know what may be the problem

This is how I believe the roof top opening for a 1998 SLK-230 works. Remember this all computer N10-3 controlled. Moving control switch S84 rearward causes the computer to roll down the windows powers solenoids A75y1 and A75y2 in sequence (hereafter identified as Y1 and Y2) and turns on the hydraulic pump by its relay A5k1. Fluid pressure from the hydraulic pump is applied by direct lines from the
