Ive not noticed anything on mine just make sure the A pillar caps are down tight (they have a lot of clips) is it around the top of the door Something like this is so difficult to respond to based on a description as it could be a 101 things.
Yeah it is difficult to explain or to know whats going on 100% as I dont drive the car every day Ive only noticed it a couple times especially the other day when we had that crazy wind the left over storm from the U.S etc I guess. It sounds like its coming from the surrounding rubber at the top of the windshield honestly but like I said I dont see anything loose no hanging off rubber the sunroof seems
sounds like a loose seal or something coming from the front windshield area (more so near the top of the windshield it seems) when driving especially noticeable when its really windy outside. This is not the typical wind noise youd get when driving any car on a windy day it sounds like a seal or window surround piece is loose or something (which Ive had happen on other older cars before non kias)
The peice on the soul rear doors was added a couple of years into production by kia because lots of people were having paint chipping issues on the lower rear doors. So the earlier cars dont have it and the newer ones do.In all honesty the kia peice of plastic is not big enough to work properly my early soul had stone chips in a much bigger area than this covers. I have had the whole front end of my

Thanks for the tips. Im taking it to the service department tomorrow. Im not real happy about this situation - I need to lock my car on occasion. I traded in a 2002 Nissan frontier which was alos kept outside and never had a problem with frozen locks. If this is a consistant problem would this covered under the lemon law

vehicle other than what the photos show. It will most likely be a 4 cylinder front Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicle but there is some talk about an AWD version by a few whisperers in the dark. Certainly it would make sense given that the Sportage Sorento and whatever emerges as the Kue and Mesa are. It will most likely be geared to the younger crowd as a clear message regarding the differing Hyundai kia
All my new Hyundais came from the same dealer network but not the same dealership. Because this network was the BIGGEST in my area they cut AMAZING deals for me each & every time I made a purchase. My current 2 elantras (04GLS sedanauto & 05GLShatchback5 speed) were bought at well below the sticker price at 10k each out the door taxedtagged and ready to go (Big rebates and Bigger haggling) Hyundai has truly spoiled me with the incredible reliability & amazing purchase prices. I cant say much for the service as i do my own and the only time any of my cars go back to the dealer is for warranty work and there has been little-none in over 23 years of ownership. One of my accents went back to have the upholstery replaced under warranty for discoloration. They replaced back & front cloth seating surfaces to keep the continuity of the fabric and replaced the entire exhaust system while it was there as they detected a leak while they had it. Needless to say I wrote both the dealership and the corporate a letter to express my satisfaction. All on a car that I paid under 5k for as well. If Hyundai made their version of the soul I probably would have bought 1 by now

New to the forum - hi to all Just got Frenchie my Exclaim a few weeks ago and just recently used the back wipers - are mine broken or are they supposed to just stop and pause every third of the way Also when turning them off (in either intermittent or full on) they NEVER stop at the bottom of either side always straight up - is that normal Other than this little frustration - I LOVE my new kia
now that I just bought a new soul on the weekend I checked my glove box light and it shuts off okay when you close the door (only operates when the headlightparking light is switched on). If it came on with the door closed you can see a swath of light on the passengers front floor area.
I have to disagree with the ease of getting in and out the doors on the soul are kind of tall and shorter and dont seem to open as wide as the Rio when I get in and out its easier for me. I always have to be careful not to hit my feet on the door panel because thats a whole other issue with material quality and leaving marks on them. I probably will miss the height though and not having to caution

AiboPet After reading your post I was at the dealer today to claim one of my full years worth of free car washes and I saw the soul thats for demo only.. the one that cant be driven in the U.S. Well my question is about the plastic piece I have on my driver and passenger side that is just in front of the front doors. Mine is a Sport and has all the bells and whistles but doesnt have what the demo one
Hmmm.....Sounds fun but Ive never really messed with modulated voltages before for lighting. I dont even run the speaker rings in their flashing with the music mode. I said in some other post that something red flashing in my peripheral vision.....usually mean something is about to SUCK so the flashing rings bugged me while driving especially since you see the passenger one RIGHT up in your driver
My Dune soul is also having the chipping issue with paint. It is not limited to the paint though. I am getting chips in my windshield as well. I had ordered the touchup pen but this was lost in shipping when the package broke open. The dealer from whom I bought it never responded to my call or email to find out about replacement. I had a 2004.5 Spectra (Ice Blue) that aquired some chips over time

Hi I ran the wires up the passenger side most of the plastic trim scuff plates etc are held on by plastic clips. Took a power and earth wire for the monitor from the rear reversing light [useing fig 8 speaker wire] saved me going into the dashboard gap between the console hide the wires camera monitor was mounted in the console in front of gear shift lever with the parking sensor head mounted just
AiboPet I was not very clear sorry. I was not going to just replace the sub into where the one is now. I haev a 12 in a bandpass box with a 500watt amp that I took out of my Chrysler Sebring. Thank you for the pics of the front that looks easy enough. I have seen a speaker like that before. It did not have the custom connector but it did have a speaker light attached to the front like in your pics.
Ill hafta do that next....The wiring isnt likely there but they may have used the same speaker as the fronts which would include the ring where the LED units mount to. Nothing says you cant just run two wires out the front door......back underneath the sill and into the rear door to POWER something (flashing and everything). As long as its happy with 410vdc (so NO cold cathode stuff). I have seen at
woulda done a cleaner job...so I abandoned this after doing some math and measuring and before I cut away too much for some professionals to RESCUE. There was NO way I was gonna get an old school EARTHQUAKE sub in there without somehow adding 3 more depth. This was SURELY gonna end up looking like ass without the right workspace more tools and a bit more modern installation experience. I took soul

too impressed with the red interior. It just seems a bit too much to me. Yes the Dragon would be sick and evil with no graphics for sure. Sorta like Darth Vaders ride. Mine is the MOLTEN yes but it was built 92009. And I think a very special before the others were thought of edition. Stick is rare here and MOLTEN with the extra stuff all black is even more so. Outside only the grill and front kia
I DONT want to cut up the originals to put little screens in em. DO be careful when messing around your dash. I found the Sports RED dash to just be some sort of paint. I have not scratched it yet anywhere you would SEE it when the trim pieces are put back on. I would imagine it is EASY to scratch it though and then wouldnt know how to touch up the area with the correct red color. I dont think kia
Im going to be investigating that very thing likely this weekend J-Rock. I wanna pull the door panel and see WHAT exactly is lighting up. I am hoping the LED ring is surrounding a traditional speaker. Then you would just upgrade the speaker and leave the LED unit untouched. I read somewhere that the upgraded audio is an Infinity system. I now have no interest in replacing the head unit....Its nice
welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. Sorry but it would be almost impossible to add that system now at reasonable cost much cheaper to go after market. It would have been better to spend the extra 900 as the value is there - UVO system with rear camera and with 8 speaker Infinity Sound System with sub-woofer and front door speaker lights as well as the autooff headlights see my signature line big help for future conversations when we know these details - thanks.
gear and unlocks when shifted into park. Unless a door is open. I despise this feature. The manual does not say that this feature can be disabled and the dealer tells me that it cannot be disabled (although the service adviser did not do a lot of research here). I would love to figure out how to disable this feature. There is a lockunlock button on both front doors. I would like to use it. My soul

it would help if you could fill in your location and details of your drive so that it shows up with each posting. Kind of nit-picking arent you. The trip computer should be on your gauges where its directly in front of you not off to one side. Maybe some of these features are related to your country but on ours we have a 30 second delay to operate the power windows after the ignition key removed or
Hmm well seeing as even how the upgraded stereo is still terrible i would attempt to get the price of the audio package refunded and spend it on some real equipment. I have one hell of a system for a little over 400 USD. 2 amps 2 10s. front components rear coax. about 1000 rms. i think i like it a little better than the little blinky door lights.
Stereo works good for quieting down the road noise. If you go test drive a Nissian Cube youll notice noise coming through the front window LOL its retarted. I just notice a bit through the door sils...nothing major. I got a exhaust on now and stereo is good so no complaints.
there is an entire threadblog about Mazda5 vs Rondo not only on this site but a few other well known enthusiast sites. You can use Google for that. Your asking Rondo owners for their 2 cents so youre probably going to get a little slanted opinion however most members are pretty honest about their experiences. (mostly all positive) At first it was a pretty fair fight with the Mazda5 vs the kia
do most people do with cheap stuff They dont take care of it. My cousin had a mid 90s Accent that ran like a champ until a drunk driver hit it when it was parked in front of their house. We had a 2009 Sportage and a 2007 Sedona and we decided to trade them in because of all the driving with our oldest playing sports and going to a pre-school program and its all city driving. We now have a 2013 soul

see it is mine and set them straight. But the service writers are a dense bunch. I will say that up front. I never get insane with lowball expectations of price. But James and Robbie know I was just fine with the 295 plugs replacement too at 72000. And the 2004 Sorento gets treated well by them for it other times. Free fixes and other small work. As did the 2003 Spectra LS and now the 2010.5 soul
