Hi Boet I expect that your car is fuel injected (most cars are these days) and the timing is controlled by the ECU looking at the crank and camshaft position sensors. The ignition coils are typically mounted on each spark plug so no need for a distributor. FWIW our dealer said the distributor told them they had to take 8-10 souls for in order to get one Optima...There were 4 Optimas on the lot when I picked up mine and (according to thier website) 54 souls
