ignition retard relay

Answers and questions: ignition retard relay

JEEP CHEROKEE Starter relay is being retarded. Need input on a bypass

My starter relay is being retarded. I was told when I bought the jeep that it tested bad so no surprise. Sometimes when you start the jeep the temp gauge pegs and nothing happens and sometimes it will start fine. I had the same problem on my old jeep (fixed by wiggling the relay whenever it acted up) so on this one Im looking at a better solution. Heres a picture Im using the wire to the ignition terminal

MERCEDES BENZ 190 W201 Car running a bit hot also i want to know about relays and fuses found in the engine

so my car has been runnin a bit hot lately and i wanted to know is it the fact that it ad regualr gas in it. i put the resinator back in and decided to leave it in there. i was thinking becuase of this damn humid weather can that be a factor in why its running over 80c. also i wanted to know if my fan is working or not my car got over 100c today at a light and the second i started to move it went down

talked about in great detail little searching will bring up wonders Some say it works others say they dont feel shit some guys dont want to touch their car etc etc etc. Quote Originally Posted by 2phast Yes its true for all the W201 and W124 owners here is a simple modification that will yield you better throttle response and more power. JEEP WRANGLER Wiring 55 watt back-up lamps where should my relay be

In the back close to the lamps Under the hood I know the principle is to create a shorter circuit but somehow Im just too retarded right now to figure it out. In this diagram what is the ignition source Theres already a lead coming from the battery. The toggle switch is connected to the relay on one side. Shouldnt the other side of the toggle switch be connected to the battery Edit Im not wiring them into the back-up circuit. I just want them on a toggle.

Quote Originally Posted by dbell54 Place the relay anywhere thats convenient under the dash is fine since thats close to where the toggle switch will presumably be. The ignition wire to the switch can be taken from the fuseblock you have a couple of extra power

MSD ignition for supercharged engines

I am using a Weiand 142 on a SBC. MSD has two controllers I am looking at the 6BTM and the 6al-2 programmable. Also there is a black box ignition controller that looks interesting. httpwww.cbperformance.comProduct...oductCode2013 I have looked at a few forums but wanted to see if anyone here has experience with these and what the level of satisfaction is.

I did a 670-horse supercharged 383 and used the MSD6 BTM with outstanding success. MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 280SL K-Jet and Ignition conversion to Megasquirt write up

This write-up will describe how I changed the old Bosch K-Jet fuel system on my 280SL -85 to a modern EFI-system and it will probably also work on the older Bosch D-Jet system. I will try to cover as much as possible regarding our engines when it comes to different options and installations but in the end anyone planning to build and installing a MegaSquirt EFI system will require that you do some

price if one only want to modernize the ignition system MegaSquirt can handle many different types of ignition e.g. it can drive the original (single) ignition coil directly out of the box without any modification since there are one high current ignition driver circuit built in but the trigger wheel must be used to detect TDC position. By using the complete setup of sensors the ignition advanceretard

vacuum line runs from the throttle intake to the distributor via a switchover valve that can open or close. - the switchover valves position is dependent on whether the coolant temperature is above or below 100C. It is open if temperature is below 100C as determined by a temperature switch in the coolant return to the radiator. - switch is open below 100C and valve is then open vacuum flows and ignition

MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 Can you see whats missing in this picture...

Can you see whats missing.... Yes its the distributor. Removed the distributor since its not used anymore the megasquirt controlled ignition works perfect and when I mesured the milage oddly enough the fuel consumption has decreased 10-15% Full tank and drove 200km (125miles) filled the car up again and could only fill 20L. MERCEDES BENZ 190 W201 Help Fuel or Vacuum or other

1986 190E 2.3 I just bought a Benz and heres my story Bought it used. 1st gear was a bit sluggish but once it shifted into second had good acceleration and smooth running. Drove it for a couple hours no complaints other than what was mentioned above. But when pulling a small grade in a residential area..........it suddenly started running extremely rough and would not accelerate past 20 MPH. Pulled

a shop unless is was a major problem so I am naturally suspicious. If by air duct housing he means the rubber boot under the fuel distributor assembly then yes this is a failure zone that is common to most CIS-E cars 2.3 2.6 3.0 etc. However backfiring through the intake manifold is not. The timing I am speaking of is the crankshaft to cam-shaft timing. I believe your car is EZL which gets its ignition

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 C36 Power loss bogged down

Went on a long drive the other day. After an hour of driving it felt as if the car had lost some power. It was obvious when I needed to climb a hill. Car felt like engine was shaking at lower RPMs felt better and smoother once it got to higher RPMs. Engine temps were normal. No smoke of any kind. When I made it to a gas station it felt as if it would bog down and die but it kept running albeit struggling.

Euro versions. Mercedes was forced to add on an enormous amount of emission gear to meet US Emission specs. The carbureted cars suffered the most since fuel injection was inherently more efficient. Most of the problems in these models can be traced to emission related changes from the cars original design. 1975 seems to be the worst year with lowered compression catalytic converter and gobs of ignition
