FIAT PANDA Oh dear front numberplate dissapeared

The dealer stuck on my number plates with sticky pads which is good in that no drilling into the bootlid. But they stuck the front one on as well and there is a bit of curve in the grillbumper. I noticed it had come away a bit on one side but driving home from work tonight it seems to have fallen off. Oops I wish they had drilled the front one really. Will have a look for it on the way to work though

Well I completely forgot to look for my plate today on the way to work. Ironically I had to visit Manchester Polices divisional head quarters today for a meeting with some of the police I often work with. Made sure I reversed it into a prominent parking spot at the police station to show off no numberplate.

FIAT PANDA Which Panda is which

Have recently been noticing some confusion as to the question of what constitutes a Mk1Mk2Mk3 and The New panda. One dealer on Ebay refers to all pandas up to 2003 as Mk1 and the New panda as a Mk2. Similar diferences have also been noted on fiat Forum postings. This creates some head scratching on my part and presumably on the part of other Forum contributors. I should state at this point re the panda

FIAT PANDA is it me or does the panda resemble....

does it resemble the nissan note one outside my house and i thought oh god

talk elsewhere in here of the Great Wall Peri panda and the Nissan Note. I think the outside of the Peri looks more Note like than panda especially at the front but the interior is a pure panda copy in cheaper plastics. The real Note is I think slightly larger than the panda (and related to the Renualt Modus maybe -- Renault has part-share in Nissan) but I too have mistaken the Nissan for the fiat

FIAT PANDA The Mrs has a New Toy

Although we are both trying to reduce our collection of cars the Mrs spotted this on eBay and decided to save it from being won by a scrappy Its a 1990 Seat Marbella 850cc We picked it up last night and have managed to break down in it already today The fuel gauge is not really working so we thought we had 13 of a tank when we had nothing... Still all good fun Now as we both have Mk2 pandas we can

Looks solid from the picture As far as I know the Marbella was all mk1 panda based with some later Seat tweaks. It was born at a time when Seat were producing badge engineered fiats under licence. fiat & Seat split before the mk2 panda was introduced which is why the Marbella has the old suspension front quarterlights none of the later engines etc etc. Many had the fiat 903cc engine from the 127 and

Hollypop - I got some of these blinds ....have fitted the rear window and although the clips havent stayed stuck to the glass the shade stays in place. ...maybe I need to super glue ...when you did yours did you just superglue on top of the sticky pad or did you remove the sticky pad first and then just superglue the clip itself. The rear quarters just push in and stay but the rear windows are the ones Im having problems with. The instructions seem ok - but I cant see how the clips can fit - its just the door frame whered they stick is not flat and this means the clip would be in the wrong direction which would then be under great pressure from the blind (if this makes sense ) ... Where abouts on the frame did you have your clips - and do you have two clips at the front or rear of the door ( there are only 3 clips per side ...my instructions show two to front I think - but it also shows the fiat logo tab used to remove blind being at the rear ...which it isnt ) ... Thanks

Hi all for those who have these blinds just a quick question about the clips - how many clips do you need in total Ive bought a set and it came with 12 clips - that doesnt seem enough to me Thanks for any responses andy Originally Posted by panda4X4_Skydome Hollypop - I got some of these blinds ....have fitted the rear window and although the clips havent stayed stuck to the glass the shade stays in place. ...maybe I need to super glue ...when you did yours did you just superglue on top of the sticky pad or did you remove the sticky pad first and then just superglue the clip itself. FIAT PANDA Thoughts after 1000 miles

Ive almost done 1000 miles in my 100HP and thought I would tell you what I think. Back in February I gave you my thoughts about my test drive ( httpwww.fiatforum.companda-new1...out-100hp.html ) but strangely enough I actually disagree with a lot of what I wrote. Hard ride This felt a lot worse on the test drive. Maybe I was imagining it or maybe it was the roads but Im generally quite happy with how

FIAT PANDA Panda Baby

Hi everyone Its my first time here so I thought I would share my project with the group About a year and a half ago we obtained decent nick (par some accident damage on the bonnet and passengers door most importantly there was no rust 750L from 1990 with about 29k on the clock. We chose the name panda Baby and it has now become my project to get her back into shape. First off its nice to see a place

A few months has gone by and panda Baby is coming due for her yearly special occasion that is her MOT. To give her the best possible shot of passing Ive had both her sills welded by a professional as I know nothing about welding and to top it all off found an original bonnet on eBay with a perfect colour match which will hopefully be fitted prior to her MOT. Now to find a new front quarter panel and

FIAT PANDA Replacement Sills

Hi folks After a long lay off work has restarted on welding Graham back together. The bloke wants his big bottle of Argon back so Ive got to get on and finish the job. Last week end I finished the RHS wheel arch. This week end its the RHS rear shock mount. Then its onto the RHS sill. I was going to order the outside sill from Beevers Part Number 25-41-002 Graham is a 1990 903cc Dance is the part the

Those are the MK2 sills the MK1 sills are corrugated and extend up the front wingpillar and rear quarter to match the pattern on the door. There are a number of websites advertising these sills for sale however they all seem to come from the same manufacturer and are no longer available. In the end I gave up looking and decided to repair my existing sill. httpwww.fiatforum.companda-class...storation.html

FIAT PANDA New (old) Panda in the streets of Scotland

Hi everyone just drove a 1988 Sisley from the outskirts of Cardiff to Fife Scotland (480 miles) immediately after I bought her yesterday. Used as hell (muddy to the gunnels) but no rust other than the usual (door sills and inside wheel arches) hopefully shell prove a worthy lass after a good spa treatment. Its my first for a panda ever and Im not mechanically-minded at all. Ive been visiting your forum

Hello and welcome. All of my knowledgable friends on this site are spot-on. The Seat Marbella uses the floorpan off the original panda (with leaf springs) and is pre-drilled and tapped for all the 4x4 running gear.. To pandarise it you need to replace the front wings bonnet and grill assy. The doors will need the quarterlight glazing-bar removing and replacing with mirror fittings etc. The tailgate

FIAT PANDA I 141A 141 If I buy a Marbella is it a Panda

I might be able to buy a Marbella for very little money its in pretty good nick but I want to know is it a panda with an accent or a Spanish interloper I know my panda is Polish but would I be a turncoat for driving a Seat Yours in turmoil Bigjawa

Essentially a Marbella is the MkI panda right down to the cart-spring rear suspension and opening front quarterlights. But the rest of the people on here could tell you more. Is it the 848cc or the 903cc youve been offered

FIAT PANDA Installing a radio in my Panda

Hi there After driving for a few months with my headphones in Ive decided I would finally like to install a cd playerradio where there wasnt one before. I have a few questions though that I was wondering if someone could help me with. Firstly Ive taken off the plastic covering for the radio housing which revealed just two wires. Is it possible to install a stereo with these wires Also how would I go about putting an aerial in Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Ive just had to re-wire my wifes new panda as the previous owners had done a cowboy job on the stereo wiring. I have also added front door speakers in the stash pockets two sets of components in the rear quarter panels and a 12 subwoofer in the boot. I had a hell of a problem sorting out the mess they had made so i indeed stripped it right back to those two bare wires and started from scratch now it

No oddly enough its the younger one. (which has 10K more miles on the clock and an unknown number not on the clock..) That panda was always something of a poisoned chalice - but it was the best of a bad bunch in several weeks of looking and it had got to the point of me needing another car before the roads got salty. The Morris 1000 doesnt do salt.. When I got it the heater didnt work there was virtually

adjusters following my garages tip of reversing up to 10-15 mph then stamping the brakes on a few times. Sump will need changing soon but ive patched it up again for now. Hoping if i can get the brakes ok then i can actually just use the thingget to know ithopefully get to love itthen steadily improve it -) Glad you go the driveshaft sorted The rust on the rear of the sills is the most common panda

I was definitely displeased when it happened. Fortunately the lad was insured [amazingly Aston Martin were the policy holder for the Fiesta] and I had two witnesses who came straight up to me - the lady who was following us and the truck driver who the lad had emerged in front of. It looks like minor damage but being the three-quarter panel it was the worst area to be hit. The wheel and axle took the impact and as a result a lot of the repairs were mechanical. My student who was driving was fine and not shaken-up by the ordeal. Lets hope that it does prove to be a lesson to the lad. Im not sure if he just didnt look properly or we were hidden in his A-post blind spot [still no excuse of course]. On a more positive note I collected the panda on Friday evening and had another first-time pass in it this afternoon

FIAT CINQUECENTO 170 To the new panda section....and back again

hi folks not been in here that much since I bought the panda but Ive finally dragged my ass into gear and started working on the cinq (removing dents from quarter panel finishing front and rear bumpers) considering a few engine upgrades while the poor thing is off the road such as a port and polish chip gsr etc and uprated brake discspads and a general in depth service any other suggestions james (cinqjames)

FIAT PANDA What You loveHate

Bit random But just wondering What you love about your panda and what you detest or pet hate I love my mpg and cheap tax and comfort. I hate the soundproofing really bad for roadnoise imo & the rattles that come from passenger airbag and dash.

10. Never had an issue with visibility. You want to try a Zafira or Fiesta. Their front quarter visibility is not just big enough to hide a bike its big enough to hide a Transit. Its not exactly a Subaru but it can make pretty good progress cross country. Its a doddle to park and every time a crusty on a bicycle gives me a dirty look I can smile knowing that their lungs put out more CO2 than my panda.

FIAT PANDA Panda 30 is home at last

The beige beauty has finally arrived after 1200 miles and 3 days driving through northern Italy Switzerland France and most of England I set off last Friday morning on the National Express coach to Birmingham airport. In my professional experience Jimbo is quite right. The pressure delta across a fresh paper filter is generally extremely small so replacement filters of the same ilk cant really offer anything. This has been coroborated by engine dyno and rolling road poer tests plus real world pressure tapping. However aftermarket filters are re-usable and they are a spec item so if you fancy it then go for it Things

FIAT PANDA body work question

Right... getting there slowly but I need to know if I need to order another part having got the wings off and the A section I think the sill protector goes over the top of this I ask as if this is the case I need to order a sill protector now at grate cost So does this bit Go over this bit (which I have) Honest to god I dont think there is going to be much left of this car soon If I need this bit ill order the actual sill as well as it may as well be done thanks all

Yes the front part of the sill panel is the same as the bottom part of the A panel if I remember correctly you can get just a sill skin without the A panel or rear quarter parts.

FIAT PANDA distributer question

Does any one know if the contactless dizzy from a panda 4x4 will fit a 769cc FIRE engine I am not very good with points and dont have a dweel meter

Mixture screw is on the left side of the carburettor just in front of the accelerator cable bit. It may have the tamperproof plug still in it so you will not actually see the screw until that is removed. Turn the screw anticlockwise to richen the mixture however do it gradually (about a quarter to half turn) until you feel its right. You should prob get it put on an emmisions tester and then adjust
