FIAT PANDA Check engine warning light

Was driving to work yesterday in the pouring rain and this light illuminated. engine note doesnt sound any different but maybe a little less eager to rev Have spoken to local dealer in Wincanton and they advise to see if it resets itself or take into them tomorrow. Not much info in handbook so was wondering if anyone else had something similar happen Car is a 57 plate 100HP. Thanks in advance for any feedback

On the LED front display does it show anyother information like check belt or something

Apparently it has something to do with the lambda sensor Dealer reset the fault and lamp extinguished but came back on on my return journey. Car now booked in next Monday for further investigation. Can someone enlighten me as to the role of the lambda sensor - presume it has a role in controlling emissions etc.

Yes the lambda sensor monitors the exhaust gas emissions and the ECU will adjust the airfuel ratio to suit. I had one of the sensors replaced under warranty. Despite the warning message the car drove exactly as before. The work should be done as if its not the catalytic convertor can be damaged. airlog thanked for this post

hi there my gp 1.3multijet 75 has a warning light telling me to check the engine I am a bit worried as the car was 3 years old in August and I have only done 16.000 miles from newwhat could be the problem after reading posts here i am still not sure what the problem is Gerry

FIAT PANDA Engine warning light - 100HP

Five minutes into my journey home tonight the engine warning light on my 16000 miles 100HP came on and all the power evaporated as the car went into limp mode. Fortunately there was a petrol filling station 200 yards down the road so I pulled in and consulted the manual. This proved singluarly unhelpful as pages 97-128 inclusive were absent and of course that included those pages pertinent to my predicament

the oil level even though I had checked it the previous evening as part of my regular weekend routine. Nothing obviously wrong so I limped home. Im guessing it is just a duff sensor so will crawl into the dealership tomorrow morning. Its still in warranty so not too worried but is this a known problem - should I be afraid Not going to be impressed if this is the start of a slippery slope into fiat

FIAT PANDA Engine Failure Warning...

The other day whilst my car was idling the engine Failure message came up & the orange engine light is now on. The car is running perfect though no sign anything is wrong have drove about 100 miles since and all seems fine but message and light still there. Has this just been a glitch

Just because the car is running fine dont assume everything is OK - the ecu has plenty of options to bypass certain faults and chances are your emissions are higher than normal. Get it checked out soon otherwise you could end up with a big bill.

The engine light has come on our panda several times and when checked Benfield say theres nothing wrong. Strange.

FIAT PANDA Dashboard Lights and Engine Cut Out

I have a second hand panda 1.3 Multi-jet Diesel. I love the MPG but I am beginning to regret purchase. Initially upon purchase we could get all the dashboard warning lights appearing the power steering wouldnt operate etc... Turning the car off and then on would cure the problem. Then all power would die without warning. This problem seemed to be linked to a poor earth which I think the garage fixed.

FIAT PANDA Oil Pressure Sensor Failure Warning

I have panda 100HP. The orange triangular warning light (see icon) for the oil pressure sensor has come on. There are no other symptoms. Handbook say consult dealer - not stop and call for recovery. I interpret this to mean that the sensor has failed not that the oil pressure is low (but that I would not be warned if it was) so I drove the car home. Dealers say could be anything its too risky to drive

Dashboard lights are colour coded Red danger must react immediately stop turn off engine etc Orange Something to be aware of (eg rear fogs on low fuel) or to check (eg fluid level) Green reserved for the indicators and lights info (eg lights on) Blue main beam. The oil pressure warning is red and shows an oil can. If that comes on it means theres no oil pressure (and normally too late to do

FIAT PANDA Problem what to check

Bah the reverse parking sensor has stopped coming on when I select reverse. Before I venture out into the freezing sunshine with a multimeter and a screwdriver anyone got any good tips on how to eliminate things without popping open panels Its a fiat fitted parking sensor ( factory I think ) on a 1.2 panda Emotion ( 2004 ) (same as Eleganza) with Dualogic.

Hi everyone I have a 2006 1.1 active and this is the first winter I will be using it. Today it was cold outside and I was a little concerned that it took 4 attempts to start the car properly. The first 2 times it just wouldnt start and the 3rd time the engine started but the power steering warning light came on - The power steering was just not working - Very heavy. So I turned the engine off and on

FIAT PANDA Engine running problem

Hi My panda is playing up its a 1993 1.0 litre fuel injection. It is a real pig to start & ifwhen it catches it barely ticks over until you coax it into life and then when its idling it coughs and splutters then starts to idle too fast then coughs and splutters again when driving it falters and misses as you apply throttle and lacks power - with my foot right down Im stuck at 50 mph. Its been suggested

does the injection light show when this hapens i had a similar problem when i blew up one of the twin coils on the head the inj warning light comes on and it goes into limp mode no power and it crawls along. check HT and LT off the coils the the usual culprits then check everything else is secure

FIAT PANDA Flashing engine light & rough tickover

Hi Drove down to Gatwick on Sunday night nice steady drive nothing spectacular and the car never missed a beat. Started it up on Monday morning as normal and it ran rough for the first minute or so and during this time the orange engine light flashed on and off. I didnt rev the engine or put it under any load (just left it ticking over roughly) and then after about a minute the light went off and the

Mine has done this twice in the past year and I put it down to the cold start system not kicking in. I asume as this will be contolled by the ECM that explained the flashing warning light. As with yours once I got it running it ran perfectly. When I had it serviced the garage checked the fault log which was empty. The only thing I can think of is that both times I may have pressed the accelerator by mistake while starting disengaging the cold start system........only a theory.

FIAT PANDA Mystery engine and gearbox sensors.

There are 2 sensors that I am not quite sure what they are for. One is a large plug on the upper part gearbox near the clutch arm (perhaps its not a sensor) The other is on the cyl head just aft of the cam drive gear. If I find out what they are for I may wire them up again. Cheers Vince

Just checked it out again. It has to be water temp. Do you know if it switches on at a certain temp or is it meant to drive an analogue gauge I was getting mixed up with the other big sensor in the water system (think it used to be in the rad) that I think is meant to turn on the rad fan if I had one. I may make up a rain proof box with a few warning lights so err indoors turns it off if there is a

FIAT PANDA EPS Issues thoughts fault finding etc

Hi all I have been looking into the EPS system on the panda since I had a dash light illumination and loss of steering (cured on restart - probable fault - battery charge and connections) I am a marine Eectronics engineer I retired at 47 but still do small jobs for friends etc. I want to look into the EPS side and come up with some basic fault finding methodology for normal folks at least skilled enough

that can be made to aid a fix. My own panda a 2003 1.2 8V Dynamic. On a roundabout steering stopped getting power assistance and warning light on on dash ignition off wait 10 seconds on again no light all ok. Car had been sluggish starting for a few days as if battery was weak. Ecu (EPS Delphi) shows following with MES MUX and CanTieCar - ECU ISO Code 52 80 86 02 2F 21022014 155923 CONNECTED TO fiat

100 UKP bill at the next MOT get it done before the purchase - with emphasis on the gas test the CAT will be tired by now if original. If youve got through all that and ticked every good bit and not found any bad give or take the state of the tyres preferably with lots of history youve probably got 400 and odd UKP worth of panda. FIAT PANDA Newbie selecta problem panda classic

Morning everyone. Newbie here although I have been visiting this forum for a while I will explain. I have a very functional Doblo mpv for everyday use and was looking for a fun car for my wife (and if the truth be told me also). She kept cooing about the new 500 (wanted a bee coloured one) when I came up with the idea of getting a classic. Well after much research on FF I succumbed and bought a 1994

without taking the enginegearbox out The grarshift lights are working and warning noises eminating. engine and body are really sweet and no known history of crunching etc. so hopeful it will be fixable without gearboxclutch. FIAT PANDA Panda towbar electrics serious problem

FIAT PANDA Panda Dynamic Problems

I bought a panda Dynamic 56 plate 2 years ago and have had one technical problem after the other. The car is just over 3 years old 4 months out of warranty and only has 16 000 miles on the clock I really would expect more out of this car and from fiat . Its been one thing after the other and not general wear and tear items that you expect to replace Last year the abs light kept coming on and various

FIAT PANDA Automatic box does not change up Fiat Panda

FIAT PANDA Veggie Panda

Hi All with the ongoing price hike in fuel at the moment that doesnt seem to be stopping anytime in the future have any of you multijet owners thought about running your cars on vegetable oil Over the last few months ive been doing a bit of research into this to see if its actually feasible and given the right conversion it looks the way to go. Apparently diesel engines have always been designed to

and eventually gave up the struggle with running 4 cylinders and went to 3 the bottom end was well fubarred She had just shy of 130000 miles on the clock and had run for several years on veg. Please note that the 2.4 engines have had a checkered past with heads going As you can see from the other pic I used hippo in the manner she was designed for. FIAT PANDA Mystery fault strikes again... and again.

In March I had a problem with Higgle ( Eleganza Dualogic 54plate) when she ground to a halt and the AA said it was fault P1220 and reset her computer. After she had ben reset I took her to Wessex fiat at Gloucester who had her all morning and said they acknowledged there was a fault but they

All cars do not cut out or breakdown on a regular basis. If your Focus has been doing this for 5 years as you suggest then it does not say much for the Ford Focus or for the credibility of your advice.
