Hi All My 02 doblo
has lazy wiper
s. If they are on intermittant they work for a few minutes maybe 10 and then stop working. I then have to turn them up to speed 2 and back up again quickly and they usually work then. Its a pain and the problem is growing especially now that the weather has become colder. They dont like to be disturbed in the cold ( a bit like the driver). Im not going to my local dealer as he is a robber. Anyone ideas
Thanks for that. 2 years ago the passenger side wiper stopped altogether and I returned it to the dealer where I bought her. The problem was rectified by a new wiper assembly motor being installed. I since found out the official fix from fiat Ireland is to drill out the passenger arm and fit a split pin when the polyurethane bush wears out. If you break the drill bit a complete new assembly must be
It certainly could be... Its as if theyre controlled by a mini brain rather than a good old fashioned relay. I thought though that the ECU only controlled fuel injection in the doblos but I could be wrong and it controls other things too. Hmmm anyone else have any ideas T14068 how are the wipers controlled
Two points... 1. The concept of the wiper motor grease getting onto the contacts is quite possible. I have heard of this on a number of different cars. 2. The ECU on the doblo seems to control everything When we had trouble wth the headlights recently I was told that the message from the switch goes via the ECU to the relay rather than direct. I suspect that this is so the fitters dont have to look
OK I think the first place Im going to look is the wiper motor. There are only a dozen or so screws holding the splashguard on. Thats easy. That sounds familiar about an ecu controlling various parts. I think fiat call them body computers. When my van was new the alarm gave trouble but eventually I traced it myself to a defunct battery from new. But during the hunting process the clock and the trip
Some of you may remember my posts about repairing the wiper
linkage by fitting new balljoints. This is still working well but I have been having electrical problems with the wiper
s for some time. They only work when they feel like it. Often when you start up they dont work but come on after 5 miles or so. I think the problem is in the relay
that controls the wiper
s perhaps a dry joint on a pcb. The
can anyone help me my wiper
s have started to stop occasionally. when they start working on intermitent they soon loose regular wipes and stop. i fiddle with the arm and it starts again. is it the wiper
arm that is at fault or the relay
. please please someone help me
Hi. My doblo has this problem too although I havent yet looked at it in depth mine seems to be the stalk switch though and fiddling with it resumes operation. I think there is a relay imbedded in the stalk which is possibly the fault.
Hi. Fitted a new (sh) switch and this has cured the fault. I pulled the old switch to bits again and for the life of me cannot see whats wrong There is a relay buried in the stalk though so this may be the trouble. I also got an other instrument cluster a bit upmarket from mine but all that works is the seatbelt warning its either duff or not compatible.
I know this should be in the classified section but I cant find anything under doblo
and I cant work out how to place a wanted ad. Ive had bother with the intermittent wipe for a couple of years now. I enquired at the fiat
dealer today and they reckon the relay
electronics are all in the motor unit. I know some of you have renewed the whole assembly due to worn balljoints in the linkage. I wondered
Having some problems with my doblo
s will work for a while on intermediate setting then they will just stop altogether. Sometimes you have to give the stork a right good bang to get them to work again or turn the engine off and restart. Any one got any ideas.
Had a auto electrician look at my wipers yesterday as the problem of them stoping on intermediate was starting to do my head in. Told me the relay was at fault but its all built into the stork is this right Also spoke to fiat about buying the stork and fitting myself and they say its a big job as the airbag needs to be disconected.
The rear wiper
on my 1.9 JTD seems to have a mind of its own When I push the stalk towards the windscreen the wiper
blade does one sweep and parks at the end of that sweep ie almost vertical. When the swich is turned to the wipe position the wiper
operates correctly but parks at the end of the sweep it happens to be on when I turn it off. I think it may be a problem with the relay
but I dont know which
Its booked in for the 27th of this month Ill let you know how I get on and what the solution is. They seem to sgree with me that it might be the relay thats at fault.
Dear All Can you advise me on a reoccurring faults remedy. My doblo
s started to work intermittently. I checked the stalks connections and found no faults.I changed the motor and Bingo Job done. Two months later its back. If you quickly move the stalk up and down it sometimes restarts but whats more annoying is if you turn off the ignition and turn it back on the fault clears bit tricky in the pouring rain at 60 mph. Please can anyone help.
Had identical symptoms to yours which were cured by fitting a new column switch assembly. Expensive but didnt want to risk a used replacement having the same snag as it seems to be a common fault. Think the relay is embedded in the stalk assembly. Didnt have a fault at all until it went to (DIS)ADVANTAGE fiat for a service. Fault first appeared immediately after collecting the car from their dealership
Hello all newbie here so be gentle I have a 2004 (04) doblo

Hi I am also new to this Forum malarky stuff. I have a Bizzare Car . I think its haunted. I have a fiat doblo JTD year 2005 and it has done 30000 (7k sinced I owned it.)(owned since May 2008 from the fiat Dealership) Clutch slip in 4th and 5th gear but only does it on odd occasions. Rear wiper works when it feels like it. Headlights go out completely when switching from dipped to main beam on odd occasions.

hi guys new to the forum. not hugely familar with doblo
s but had to replace the engine in a 2002 1.9jtd for a customer who was too mean to buy a radiator. he supplied an engine which turned out to be useless blow from filler cap could fly a kite. second replacement engine supposed to be perfect only 40k but it wont start. ive fitted injectors from origional engine replaced most of the switches and
Hi welcome to the FF. I dont have a manual for the doblo JTD but I suspect the pinouts from a 2000 Bravo 1910 JTD should be the same. I believe the JTD ECU is electronicaly matched to the injection pump and the immobiliser CODE box in which case you would need them all from the same car or I think they can be realigned with the fiat Examiner equipment. Maybe this would explain your synchronisation
Anybody know where i can get doblo
wiring diagrams. haynes dont have a book and all i can find is fuse and relay
guides which although handy are unlikely to allow me a comprehensive trace. Had starting problems which are definetely a ground problem or stuck relay
etc. as even with a charged battery and electrical items wiper
s dials are stuttering not coming on etc without even an attempt to start. Thanks Roger
was fine then one morning nothing not start and battery dead. Tried to jump but made no difference. Presumed starter or alternator. Charged battery but didnt attempt start and noticed electrics are stuttering on first turn of key to MAR i.e. Dials flutter windscreen wipes stuttering. That rules out alternator starter as these are not engaged and means electrical. I thought a stuck relay
Getting an odd clunking sound (and associated clunk feeling through the chassis) on my 2006 MultiJet active when accelerating and going over bumps London potholes. Seems to be coming from the rear. Car is dead straight perfect tracking so doesnt seem like running gear. Could it be exhaust Also get a burning (rubber) smell after hammering it down a motorway for at least 50 miles. Any ideas what to
