sorry i cant post links...the part is listed as fiat doblo radiator SUPPORT CROSS MEMBER 2001-2005
the boltrubber is a support to stop radiator moving forwardback however you can cable tie the radiator so you can still drive it for now as the lower support is not a stress part. Might be worth spraying some wd40 etc on the support boltsscrews as they will probably be rusty aswell.
do your rad yourself itl take you 1 maybe 2 hours start to finish and it will be cheaper for you to do it even if you have to buy the haynes manual or garage manual. and the haynes will also explain your locks
Been told to check the thermostat. where is the location of this and how do i get to itget it out
Jubilee type clip .
No this type of clip pushes through the middle of the plastic hose connector. I have never seen this design before.
got a photo
squeeze the raised metal parts together while pulling the hose complete with plastic elbow off the radiator. Although they are known as quick release connectors they are not always quick to release once the clip is full of crud. . Buy premixed coolant and just fill it.....easy girldoblovan thanked for this post
If you are going to mix it yourself & live in a hard water area buy a bottle of cheap water (tesco value lidl aldi etc) and use this to dilute the antifreeze otherwise when it heats up the limescale will try to form in the system. Directions on the antifreeze will tell you the ratio to dilute but judging by how cold it has been recently a half & half mix might not be a bad idea. If you buy a huge bottle of water & tip half out (into a spare container) you can then top up with antifreeze to give the correct dilution. girldoblovan thanked for this post
VERY important Watch the color of the existing coolant. If its green or blue.its the old fashioned coolant. If its redorange its the new long life fluid. Its no problem according to fiat to use the red long life coolant in systems that used the greenblue fluid but NEVER fill in greenblue coolant in a system designed for red long life coolant. girldoblovan thanked for this post
Red Line Water Wetter is by no way an alternative for anti freezeits something to add to the cooling system no matter whats in pure water antifreeze traditional or long life coolant.... And I dont care what motoring organizations are advising the 20-25% comes from own experiences. Next to my fiat s and Alfa V-6 I drive an American car with a tuned 57L (350Cuin) V-8 cooling is very important with such
what do you mean fiat dont have a clue simple 5 second test will pinpoint the fault.

Im puzzled why the fiat delear you went to didnt contact fiat Technical Support if they were having difficulties. All part of the manufacturers support for the fiat franchise garage. I certainly wouldnt be a franchised fiat garage if I could not contact a technical support department of the manufacurer.

Its for bleeding the cooling system of air if you turned it to tighten it should be fine but as you said keep an eye on it check it after a run also.
bleeding the ais system i worked as an apprentice truck mechanic many moons ago i always remember the problem this would cause and the problems trying to bleed it why would it start leaking though
getting warm Mrs_Gs doblo Cargo suffered from overheating earlier this year. The radiator wasnt getting warm. The thermostat unit was replaced but the fault continued. It turned out that the radiator was clogged. A new radiator was fitted and all was back to normal. I dont know why the radiator got clogged as the van is always serviced on time and the coolant replaced as per the book (unless the fiat
headlamp bulbs are a pig to replace by the way. So I am thinking very hard about replacing it. Mine doesnt have a DPF but I think i could live with one. The new doblos are far too expensive the Qubos are also expensive and i read here of problems I dont need so what am I to get Im still working on it. The new Panda I like but it is small and expensive for what it is so I am now looking away from fiat
phoned the garage to arrange to drop it off They hummed and hawed about the sluggish starting as the doblo diesel is very reliable not much problems with it (so they say). I then mentioned the EGR valve and they said oh yes of course that might explain it they have been known to occaisionally cause problems. Then the day before we were due to go away the radiator started leaking. So with flasks of

Really excited about this project- last time I camped was in a one-man tent and travelled by bicycle so this will be sheer luxury Any suggestions andor comments will be very welcome Cath hi cath this is my web site it shows the popup roofselevating roofs www.fiatdoblocampers.co.uk
on somewhere. I fitted an old Panasonic radioCD player in it that previously worked with no problems in my daughters Focus. It appears the doblo radio harness wiring as been cut and changedswapped (yellow and red wires which I believe are constant live and ignition live). I did check this out with a multimeter and am convinced Ive got it right with connectivity into the radio. Believe this is a fiat
TIZ FIXED On a test I took the ole girl up a steep hill (van that is not Mrs_G thankyou Ozzie) at about 85mph and the temp gauge stayed in the same position all the way up - right in the middle. The new radiator did the trick. The original appears to have become blocked even though the coolant has been changed as per the service schedule - Unless the fiat stealer didnt actually carry out the job.
radiator twice before it leaves. I seems obvious that the tubes lower than the outlet will flow much more slowly than those that are in line with it. They would seem bound to get blocked. In future the van will be getting a complete flush and coolant replacement with every cambelt service - about once very 10 months for Mrs_Gs van. Now just got to get some new front brakes under warranty (not fiats
warning then an error about coolant radiator failure and the engine just died again. Start again and fine no lights or beeps. It must be a wiring fault and a fairly major one at that. I might trade it back to the dealer who sold it to me as they know its history even though they say no faults have been found. They offered 6k for it today and I think I will accept. My last three cars have been fiats
