FIAT DOBLO radiator support cross member

recently been making a bit of a rattle on my doblo 1.2 (2001) and noticed the support bar has rotten away and rad has fallen on one side. have not driven it since luckily no leaks or breakages anywhere. was wondering if anyone could confirm this is the part i need and if vehicle was jacked would it be possible to fit myself (fairly competent..) also the part at the top middle of rad (rubberbolt) that

sorry i cant post links...the part is listed as fiat doblo radiator SUPPORT CROSS MEMBER 2001-2005

the boltrubber is a support to stop radiator moving forwardback however you can cable tie the radiator so you can still drive it for now as the lower support is not a stress part. Might be worth spraying some wd40 etc on the support boltsscrews as they will probably be rusty aswell.

FIAT DOBLO radiators and locks

hello all - my doblo marvellous though it is having reached 100000 miles has decide to to start going wrong. The major prob at the mo is that the radiator has sprung a mighty leak and all the radweld in the world isnt going to fix it - i can get a new rad for about a ton but what I need to know is how hard is it going to be to replace and also whats the estimated labour time for a garage to do it for

do your rad yourself itl take you 1 maybe 2 hours start to finish and it will be cheaper for you to do it even if you have to buy the haynes manual or garage manual. and the haynes will also explain your locks

FIAT DOBLO Radiator and locks

Hi all.. Just a couple of questions to ask. and hoping you can help me out I have a 52 plate doblo cargo JTD 1.9. Today i notice steamsmoking coimg out from underneth the hood once i had stopped.. I had driven around 15-20miles at sppeds between 30-50mph. The steamsmoke seemed to be coming from the back of the radiator (as you look inside the engine) I checked fluid levels whiched seemed to be very

Been told to check the thermostat. where is the location of this and how do i get to itget it out

Jubilee type clip .

No this type of clip pushes through the middle of the plastic hose connector. I have never seen this design before.

got a photo

squeeze the raised metal parts together while pulling the hose complete with plastic elbow off the radiator. Although they are known as quick release connectors they are not always quick to release once the clip is full of crud. . FIAT DOBLO radiator antifreeze

hello all bit of a girly question but ive got a doblo van which hasnt got a handbook after a leaky rad ive now got to replace the antifreeze but ive got no idea how much to put it ca anyone out there help many thanks x

Buy premixed coolant and just fill it.....easy girldoblovan thanked for this post

If you are going to mix it yourself & live in a hard water area buy a bottle of cheap water (tesco value lidl aldi etc) and use this to dilute the antifreeze otherwise when it heats up the limescale will try to form in the system. Directions on the antifreeze will tell you the ratio to dilute but judging by how cold it has been recently a half & half mix might not be a bad idea. If you buy a huge bottle of water & tip half out (into a spare container) you can then top up with antifreeze to give the correct dilution. girldoblovan thanked for this post

VERY important Watch the color of the existing coolant. If its green or blue.its the old fashioned coolant. If its redorange its the new long life fluid. Its no problem according to fiat to use the red long life coolant in systems that used the greenblue fluid but NEVER fill in greenblue coolant in a system designed for red long life coolant. girldoblovan thanked for this post

Red Line Water Wetter is by no way an alternative for anti freezeits something to add to the cooling system no matter whats in pure water antifreeze traditional or long life coolant.... And I dont care what motoring organizations are advising the 20-25% comes from own experiences. Next to my fiat s and Alfa V-6 I drive an American car with a tuned 57L (350Cuin) V-8 cooling is very important with such

Im puzzled why the fiat delear you went to didnt contact fiat Technical Support if they were having difficulties. All part of the manufacturers support for the fiat franchise garage. I certainly wouldnt be a franchised fiat garage if I could not contact a technical support department of the manufacurer.

Its for bleeding the cooling system of air if you turned it to tighten it should be fine but as you said keep an eye on it check it after a run also.

bleeding the ais system i worked as an apprentice truck mechanic many moons ago i always remember the problem this would cause and the problems trying to bleed it why would it start leaking though

FIAT DOBLO overheating

my parents hav a doblo 1.9 2004 they only got it about a year ago but they have had to replace the radiator twice in 4 months the last time was in feb and now its still giving problems wud there be any other part needed to be changed as the thiefs that they keep brining the van to wont say a word cause they making money of em

getting warm Mrs_Gs doblo Cargo suffered from overheating earlier this year. The radiator wasnt getting warm. The thermostat unit was replaced but the fault continued. It turned out that the radiator was clogged. A new radiator was fitted and all was back to normal. I dont know why the radiator got clogged as the van is always serviced on time and the coolant replaced as per the book (unless the fiat

FIAT DOBLO Considering buying a Doblo

Greetings dobloids I have joined the forum because my wife and I are seriously consideringa doblo as a replacement for our 2001 Renault Kangoo 4x4. The 1.4 petrol is our likely choice until such time as carmanufacturers sort out the DPF issue. Maybe 30K miles on an 07 plate orthereabouts. I am aware of the problems with the wiper boss the rear doorcatch and the rear suspension bumpstops. Are there

headlamp bulbs are a pig to replace by the way. So I am thinking very hard about replacing it. Mine doesnt have a DPF but I think i could live with one. The new doblos are far too expensive the Qubos are also expensive and i read here of problems I dont need so what am I to get Im still working on it. The new Panda I like but it is small and expensive for what it is so I am now looking away from fiat

FIAT DOBLO Sluggish Doblo

Hi every one just googled my way here. I have a 53 plate 1.9jtd which has just recently started with a problem. When it is started from cold it doesnt take revs very well and has very poor acceleration up until the turbo kicks it. Once the turbo is spinning it drives well and pulls fine. After maybe 5 miles driving everything settles down and it pulls fine at all revs. The wife says once she noticed

phoned the garage to arrange to drop it off They hummed and hawed about the sluggish starting as the doblo diesel is very reliable not much problems with it (so they say). I then mentioned the EGR valve and they said oh yes of course that might explain it they have been known to occaisionally cause problems. Then the day before we were due to go away the radiator started leaking. So with flasks of

FIAT DOBLO Cutting out and non starting 1.9JTD - is there a link

My 1.9JTD 05 with 108k on the clock as just started giving grief by cutting out shortly after initial start up. It usually starts up with no problem and after the cutting out episode usually restarts with no issues. Sometimes this can occur just the once then on other days can happen a couple of times in sequence. From there it runs OK. Just lately its started giving me another problem by the starter

on somewhere. I fitted an old Panasonic radioCD player in it that previously worked with no problems in my daughters Focus. It appears the doblo radio harness wiring as been cut and changedswapped (yellow and red wires which I believe are constant live and ignition live). I did check this out with a multimeter and am convinced Ive got it right with connectivity into the radio. Believe this is a fiat

FIAT DOBLO Christmas Day Drama

As some of you will know I had a problem with my doblo loosing a small amount of coolant. Just recently I drained it all and put fresh anti-freeze in because there appeared to be none in there. Now the past 2 months Ive noticed that my front mats and carpet were wet - constantly I put it down to a leak from the outside that was getting in and due to the rain here lately and the big flooding puddles

FIAT DOBLO Been quoted

Hello I noticed my doblo (1.9 jtd 2002) was losing water over night (not while driving) - When I looked underneith I spotted a slow dripping from the corner of the radiator (passenger side) where the radiator slots in How difficult is it top replace a radiator myself My father-in-law knows his way round an engine so Im hoping to get his help but could do with an idea whats involved first - 2 hour job something like that any thoughts appreciated thanks in advance Andy

TIZ FIXED On a test I took the ole girl up a steep hill (van that is not Mrs_G thankyou Ozzie) at about 85mph and the temp gauge stayed in the same position all the way up - right in the middle. The new radiator did the trick. The original appears to have become blocked even though the coolant has been changed as per the service schedule - Unless the fiat stealer didnt actually carry out the job.

radiator twice before it leaves. I seems obvious that the tubes lower than the outlet will flow much more slowly than those that are in line with it. They would seem bound to get blocked. In future the van will be getting a complete flush and coolant replacement with every cambelt service - about once very 10 months for Mrs_Gs van. Now just got to get some new front brakes under warranty (not fiats

FIAT DOBLO Airbag failure warning

Hi Guys Im slowly going mad by the random warning our dobbin keeps giving. Every couple of days I will start the car drive a couple of meters and I get the message Airbag failure see handbook message. Its totally random when it happens and there are no other lights on the dash board when it happens or after its happened. Sometimes it beeps once sometimes more. It always starts again without the message

warning then an error about coolant radiator failure and the engine just died again. Start again and fine no lights or beeps. It must be a wiring fault and a fairly major one at that. I might trade it back to the dealer who sold it to me as they know its history even though they say no faults have been found. They offered 6k for it today and I think I will accept. My last three cars have been fiats
