but the glow plug light is now out (starts ok but the weather is warm. The relay works so Ill be checking the plugs) and the fuel gauge is dancing (ground). Oh well gives me something to do... Back to me A bottle of the Marvel Mystery Oil does not cost much. You mainly need time to let your car sit not running while it soaks in and does the work. My car had hazey tail pipe smoke all the time (a volvo

MERCEDES BENZ 123 123 Angry idle

Since I bought my 240D about a year and a half ago its had a pretty mean shake at idle (obviously worse when cold). It drives great and all shake goes away when revd. I dont have a tach so Im unsure at what rpm it smooths out. Ive essentially just put it out of my mind and have just dealt with it. It likes to smoke a bit too but Ive put that out of my mind as well. But I figured Id inquire about what

I was blowing hazy gray smoke all of the time and soaking the CylindersPistons of my volvo Diesel for about 2 weeks cured that. Must have unstick some Piston Rings. I was suprised that it worked and tried it because it did not cost much. People have also said that switching the Synthetic Oil will free up sticky Piston Rings after 200-300 miles of driving. Here is a comment I copied from someones thread

test Ive read the dangers of putting compressed air into a cylinder with a piston thats not at the bottom of its seat.. I do have excessive blow-by and I do burn oil. The oil doesnt burn at an awful rate but definitely burns. I typically add a quart every 1000 miles or so. MERCEDES BENZ 123 123 OM 617 - OEM Manufactures

Could some one please tell me who would be the specified OEM manufacturers for the following on an OM 617 300D non-turbo - Valve Stem Seals - Rings - Pistons - Cylinder Sleeves - Timing Chain I am planning on replacing the above specified on the current motor in use as the oil consumption and smoke emittance on cold starts is really getting to me now. The valves were set on a tune-up along with a compression

blow by was reduced and also with the nice drive to San Luis Obispo my rpms are lower than they were before Before 653250 now 2850 before 703500 now 3150 and boy does it have power... but the glow plug light is now out (starts ok but the weather is warm. The relay works so Ill be checking the plugs) and the fuel gauge is dancing (ground). Oh well gives me something to do... I did the Soak on my volvo

MERCEDES BENZ 123 123 What is the truth about restoring compression from a bottle

Ive used MMO and seafoam in engines to clean sludge and mild carbon but Im really skeptical of how it would be possible to restore compression from a bottle. Has anyone performed a test When I check for bad rings in my motorcycles its done be performing a compression test by adding small amount of oil to the cylinder. If the compression rises I have bad rings if the compression stays the same I have

My volvo Diesl sat for 1 year and when I got it running I did not realize that the Thermost was opening too soon and keeping the Engine too cold. And drove like that for about 6 months. during this time I had some hazy grey smoke all of the time more so on acceleration. And re-timing did not take care of it. I put 14 cup of Marvel Mystrey Oil in the Cylinders and let it soak for 1 week. I Cranked the
