VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Need Help In Choosing the Right Suspension

Need Help. Im not too sure which suspension to purchase and whether or not I need to get new shocks. I want to drop my passat to get rid of the ugly gap in the wheel well and improve handling without sacrificing the ride quality. Ill probably be riding on 18s. Should I get a set of eibach sport springs or the pro-kit system H&R Koni Neuspeed Suggestions appreciated

make a difference. My 15s had the crappy Michelins which were designed for geriatrics IMO. My 18s have had Conti ContiSport Contact IIs that were great and very comfy. Currently the 18s have Fuzion ZR1s. The 19s have S-03s on them. IME the tire quality makes a bigger difference than the tire size. In order of ride quality (best first) Id rate them S-03s Contis ZR1s. FWIW my bro did a 2 on his 01 jetta

Vag-com is a very powerful and useful too to have for your passat. I would highly recommend getting one. You will also need it to enable the fog lights if you want them to be controlled the same as when they were OEM Some modifications i would recommend 1.) A chip tune by far this is one of the best performance mods you can do. Gain 50 HP over stock and increase Performance Software - 2006-2008 volkswagen

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 All About ECU Upgrades (CHIPS)

Submitted by Bob Vernon (rvernon1san.rr.com) The chip is a constant topic on the VWvortex ClubB5.com and Audiworld.com forums quite a phenomena The stock 1.8T is running with a light pressure turbo. I believe it runs at a little over 7psi. With the small turbo this reduces turbo lag and enables the turbo to spool up at very low RPMs hence the remarkably low beginning of the torque curve (as low as
