sounds like suspension pieces possibly control arm bushings something to that effect. is it on all left turns when turning the inside tire gets the majority of the traction so a left turn puts the driver side wheel with the majority of traction in the turn putting greater stress on that wheel.

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Lower Control Arm Help

Its that time for the control arms to be done. I started my control arms today on the drivers side. Got the dreaded pinch bolt out. Not really a problem for me. Got the two uppers out and new ones in. Replaced the whole tie rod. Moved on to the lower control arms. Got the front arm out that holds the strut but the back arms ball joint is seized in there. It was going good up until this point. Ball

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B6 CEL on a B6

Took my wifes car for a 20K oil change and while driving the CEL came up. Basicly it was on and off for some time now... Strange sounds coming from the front suspension... Hell guess what the control arms bushings are damaged they are going to replace them... The CEL is some kind of throttle body flapper sticking. Sometimes it does stick sometimes it doesnt that is why the CEL is on and off. Shame

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 Is this bad

httpwww.g5i.netpicturesWheels.avi Is it supposed to do this Ive noticed the it kind of creaks when steering at low speeds and theres a kind of loose feeling in the front end. Esp. when going between accelerating and slowing down speeds. This is a 2001 B5 V6 with around 120k on the clock. I live on a 2 mile gravel road and I need new shock absorbers also. Thanks Roger

I didnt watch the video but if it was kind of a nut-cracking sound then the first suspect is the control arms (ALL of them) the second suspect is the tie-rod ends and the third suspect is the damper bushings. Which is to say prepare to drop a couple large on a whole new front suspension. Might want to get the wheel bearings changed out while youre at it theyre the same wheel bearings that the jetta and GTi use -- guess which car is gonna wear them out first.

NISSAN I Drive A Versa Because I CHOOSE To

When we went shopping for a new car this time around we researched and test drove more vehicles than for any previous transportation Ive owned. The vehicle I had coming off lease was a turbocharged 2003 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser (a VERY rare model and a blast to drive). Every vehicle was test driven a night in the country to evaluate headlight effectiveness and interior visibility. Some vehicles have

each side and it is impossible to activate both elements simultaneously for any length of time without burning up the bulb. However the reflector is designed in such a way that they offer pretty decent vision (even illumination as well as light out to the sides) on low beam which is the way we drive about 95% of the time anyway. My bet is that the jetta will have superior lighting. Certainly the volkswagen
