TOYOTA YARIS OEM tweeter wiring on UK Yaris

Hi Guys. This is a bit of a long shot but Ill ask anyway. I live in the UK and have a 2009 model yaris SR which has inbuilt tweeters and airbags in the A pillar. I dont think US-spec models have OEM tweeters but I know some other markets do not just the UK. I am thinking of replacing the headunit and the front door speakers and tweeters (with component speakers). Lots of threads on these forums about

TOYOTA YARIS DIY - 2009 Cruise Control for 10 without pulling the steering wheel and airbag

This DIY came from the following thread discussing the possibility of adding cruise control by simply adding the OEM cruise control stalk httpwww.yarisworld.comforumsshowthread.phpt16188 2009 yaris are prewired for cruise control. To enable this functionality one may add the OEM stalk but doing so requires the removal of the steering wheel and airbag. Also the dealer price for the OEM stalk is 125.

To get to the squib connectors you have to remove the airbag from the steering wheel. The D3 connector is under the lower steering column cover. The actual airbag connector is the yellow one (D18) next to D3. The SRS section of the service manual shows how to get to both and has the wiring diagrams. httpwww.etimago.comyarisrepairmanual

TOYOTA YARIS Side Curtain Airbags

Hey guys This is my first post here. I purchased a 2008 Automatic Base yaris with 36000m a week ago I love it No power anything bare bones just automatic transmission. I live in the US. I was wondering something. How easyexpensivepossible would it be to install side curtain airbags That is my only concern as this will be my wifes primary mode of transport to work and school. I know the safety rating

Having just replaced the drivers and passengers airbags in the semi-wrecked yaris that I recently picked up I can say that purchasing them is nowhere near as expensive as one might think (I paid less than 200 shipped for both shipped off ebay) and installing them is also less scary than one might expect. In your case adding the additional airbags to one not equipped with those squibs would require

TOYOTA YARIS Airbag Lights After Radio Was Stolen

Hello My car was broken in to and the cd player was stolen. I havent replaced it yet so the harness is just hanging out behind the dash. Could this be because there is no radio somehow or does this mean more damage was done to the wiring Thanks

TOYOTA YARIS Pillar Gages and Side Airbags

I was thinking about mounting my tachometer on the A-pillar down towards the base of the windshield. However I have side airbags on my 07 liftback and I dont want to damage them if I use screws to mount the tach. The tack is an Autometer Autogage 3 14 tach and Im not 100% sure double-sided tape will hold it up. If I use screws am I likely to ruin any part of the side airbags How far down do they go

TOYOTA YARIS Airbag Light on

I know theres been a couple threads on airbag lights but my situation is a lil different. Long story short A stupid driver made a stupid move and almost caused me to crash. I slammed on my horn and I mean SLAMMED (emotions got the best of me P) now the Air bag light is on. Looking at it it looks like when I hit the horn the whole cover thing kind of jammed and is stuck at the top seam while leaving

So to test black wire Ill put one lead on the airbag connector side and the other lead on the clockspring side to check for continuity What settings do I use on the multimeter and what reading SHOULD I get Im no good with wiring so sorry if that is a dumb question

TOYOTA YARIS srs airbag light after head unit install

I plan on replacing my head unit soon but in the manual it says that you need to talk to your dealer about a new radio install or it could cause problems with the srs airbag system. WTF does the radio have to do with the airbags My 02 cavalier was the same way - people who were installing aftermarket headunits would sometimes relocate the stock unit in the trunk so that it could still do whatever

I bet I know what happened... I did it myself two weeks ago when I was changing some wiring from the head unit. When you dissassemble the dash you have to remove the edging that houses the passenger airbag onoff lights. When you disconnect that the SRS light comes on. It spooked me too until I realized what it was. My bet whoever put it back together neglected to reconnect that wire. Try it

TOYOTA YARIS Passenger airbag light on making turn signals and cabin fan not blowing

Not sure where the best place to post this was. Title says it all. If someone is sitting in the passenger seat the airbag light turns on and all of a sudden my turn signals no longer work and my cabin air fans dont turn on. Asked my fiance to get up and let the airbag light turn off and suddenly the turn signals work again but the fans still dont blow air out. strange problem. anyone else had this or know of a solution to this Thanks

TOYOTA YARIS wiring after market speakers to an amp.

Which way is the best way to wire after-market speakers to an amplifier. Should I run speaker wires to the the speakers them selves and through the door directly to the amp or run wire from the radio wiring harness to the amp Also im using the factory speaker adapters to mount my speakers would this be a problem later in the future They are screwed into the adapter I just feel they arent really secure

Ok im done and the speakers work but the airbag light is on and i think its because there is still one plug left that went into my old integrated radio what should i do the get the airbags to work

Weird I had an integrated radio also and went to a pioneer HU. No airbag lights for me. Sure you didnt disconnect some thing under the seat or by the side pillar Mine had a plug left over also behind the radio ftw.

TOYOTA YARIS Steering Wheel RadioStereo Control for After-market HU

Hi all After doing a fair bit of research it seems that both the Axxess Metra ASWC and PAC SWI have NO information for how to wire up their respective Steering Wheel Control adapters. This is the case for cruise control so 2012 yaris owners can DIY cruise control using the same OEM stalk. TOYOTA YARIS underseat tray

hey I just recently found out that some of you have trays under your passenger seat. I was plannning to make one of these coming out of my passenger glovebox actually but under the seat would be way sexier. I think i have too many wires there though because of the airbags. Anyway if anybody can take pics of your tray that would be awesome it sounds so cool i really wish i had one.

I googled yaris seat tray and every hit was from non north American toyota sites. It might be because we have weight sensitive seats that trigger the passenger side airbag. If you ever look under you seat you will see the wiring for it.

TOYOTA YARIS P1 So Im going to drill some holes in my roof...

If you remove the passenger seat completely you can do either of two things to allow the SRS system to remain happy and hence be able to pop the drivers side airbag (and curtain airbags if so equipped) 1. Leave everything connected Remove the passenger seat disassemble it to remove the 4 passenger occupancy sensors (which connect the main part of the seat to the frame) and the wiring between them and
