TOYOTA RAV 4 Recommend a Toyota EV mechanic in the South Bay Area

I am looking for a dealer with a knowledgeable mechanic for my 5000 mile checkup on the rav4 EV. I have heard from owners of the original EV that Palo Alto has a good technician. Anyone recommend any of the following service dept Sunnyvale Piercy in Milpitas Stevens Creek or Palo Alto. Frankly I dont really know what they will do for a 5000 mile checkup _________________ Blizzard Pearl 2012 rav4 EV vin 1024 first EV weve ever owned.... PV on the house for 8 years

You didnt list it but the Fremont toyota dealership isnt that far north from Milpitas . I had no problem getting their tech to disable all but one beep when shifting into reverse as well as disabling the seatbelt alarm that sounds when you push the ignition button before you get around to buckling your seatbelt (the order I prefer given the system check delay). My only suggestion is to ask to skip

TOYOTA CAMRY I V10 Need help with power locks before I go stark raving mad

Two years ago I thoughtfully and purposefully locked my 2003 Camry 4-cyl LE with the remote and then went out on a date. When I returned home the car had been enteredand my wallet was stolen. Ick. There was no evidence of the locks being tampered with. Less than one year ago I locked my 2003 Camry with the remote and then went in the house and went to bed. When I arose the next morning my car had been

I dont think it is the ignition switch. Never heard of this situation. Other then these events you listed are the doors always still locked when you approach the car How about after a long day at work Are you stating the only time the car was messed with is when you parked it at your house (always the same area) Were there any times the locks were found open at other areas. If not would be looking

TOYOTA TACOMA Emergency access. Proposed magnetic unlock switch mod.

I do enough camping river floatingtubing hiking working out at the park that I want a reliable way to lock my keys in my 2010 and still have access. Ive settled on the following mod Ive purchased a magnetic reed switch. ( httpamzn.comB0056K5ZC2 ) and some magnets. My plan is to wire the switch in parallel around my drivers side door unlock switch (wiring diagram httpwww.ncttora.comfsm05data...hem01d26.pdf

Just had a thought might want to check this before investing any more time and parts in the project. On the RS3200 system on my 03 Tundra and the RS3000 on my wifes 04 rav4 if the door is locked with the remote it has to be unlocked with the remote or with the key or it will trigger the alarm. If your magnetic switch is connected to the interior door panel switch that would trigger the alarm. Try it....

KIA SORENTO II XM 2012 Sorento...advise & reviews

I recently had a wreck in my 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My rental car that I was stuck with was a 11 Kia Sorento. I thought oh great wonder what this piece is going to be like...well shockingly...I loved it. I now have my Jeep back but am in the market for a Sorento. My question to everyone is...what are the negatives that you have found in the 2012 Sorento The audio seemed to be horrible in the 2011

find anything in the Sorento manual other than it said some of them could be changed by service folks. I can tell you that I did test drive all of your other models you listed and the Kia won hands down so dont feel buyers remorse The Murano had a starting price of 37k MSRP just to get the leather seats we wanted. The rav4 was fine but did not have the feature set we were looking for. In fact toyota

MAZDA 6 I GG GY 06 Owner&39s Beware&33 791 Xv Install Nightmare

I decided two weeks ago to buy the 791 XV from viper. I brought the system to auto sound and security in new rochelle ny to get installed. In case you don&39t know already you must sacrifice a key to put in the steering column to operate the remote start.I had two options sacrifice the 2nd flip key set (419.00) or have the mazda dealer cut and reprogram a valet key). I called my dealer to order one

JEEP WRANGLER Extended Warranty....for the doubters

Im not in the mood to go into details - so this is the brief version. My Jeep has 34000 (or so) miles but I am passed the 3-year point on the original warranty. Which is good because it has been having some electrical issue. It has been at the dealer since MONDAY waiting for an alternator. Fortunately the EW is paying for the repair AND a rental car this week. Unfortunately the rental car period is

was before the lifetime powertrain offer). Another reason was the roadside assistance and tire coverage which I believe differed on the EW compared to the base 336 at the time (loaner car coverage too as the OP mentioned). I had a tire blowout last summer and that all came in handy. A little non-Jeep background It was my 2nd time buying a new car with an EW. First time around was my previous 97 toyota
