TOYOTA TACOMA newbie question on 4.0L V6 oil sludge

toyota had a major recall for engine oil sludge damage - mostly 97 - 01 Avalon Camry Sienna Highlander celica and Lexus 300RX models. Based on my web search the late mode 4.0 V6 found in the 05 up Tundras doesnt have the sludge problem. The 06 Tundra DC 4.0L 4X4 I purchased a couple of weeks ago with 35K on the odometer hasnt been driven much in the last couple of months. It did get a 40 mile highway

TOYOTA YARIS Fuel System Cleaning

Hey guys Ive got a question about fuel system cleaning. A long time ago (years) I got a service from Mr. Lube. I cant remember how much it cost but it was a fuel system cleaning they did. They said I should do it every year. They hooked up my exhaust pipe to a hose leading into and out the top of their building to properly exhaust the toxic fumes. Then they had this what looked to be an aerosol can

blamed for bad gas. Performace will degrade gradually so one does not notice it . However that small amount mandated by law will not keep an engine clean in the long run and an additional cleaner should be added on ocasion. Personally I like Seafoam BTW if you were to smell the undiluted cleaner added by the oil comanies you might say that smells too too harsh etc also. I used Seafoam in my 02 celica

knock sensor under the intake manifold. It is actually easier to install than to take off. You can do it with the engine on the car if you can fit your hands behind the manifold. Loosening the alternator will make things easier.) -ECU from 2ZZGE or PowerFC. If you get an ECU from 2ZZGE and not a PFC it should better be 2000 or 2001 which they have a higher rev limiter at 8400 rpms. More at newcelica.org.

TOYOTA CAMRY car over heating 2.2 5sfe

this last Monday my car over heated. it was quite the experience as water and steam blew out from the vents of my hood. took me several hours of short driving to make it back home. so i get it home and buy a new oem radiator. put it on. burped the system as advised and in 5 min my car nears the over heat on the temp gauge. i turn the car off and get out to feel the hoses. the engine out hose (hose

to work on the fuel system. changed my fuel filter but to no avail. so i was thinking maybe the egr or my injectors spark plugs and wires. i figure id start from the cheap side and hopefully luck out. changed the spark plugs. the old ones looked nothing out of the ordinary. my wires upon inspection looked ok too. changed them anyways and horray its running normal again so i got to thinking. my celica

BMW SERIES 5 E34 How long

For those of you who do your own work on your car how long did it take you to get decent at mechanics

and can do pretty much anything when it comes to repairing ANYTHING. Me well I was a teenager in Cleveland Ohio. My mom was a single mom. We bought ourselves the Chiltons for each car we picked up and bought tools as we went along. I can remember being 16 and fixing a gas tank in a 78 F150 3 on a tree. I put a starter and flywheel in a 1985 Mustang once. Ive bandaid-ed an exhaust system on an 81 toyota

setup would give me close to that in real life rather than a (gu)estimate of yeah it SHOULD one day ill dream to run a high boost or possibly even a twin turbo or supercharged motor but those days are a long way off. talking of tweaking NA... would it be feasible (both moneywise and logistically) to run a plenum chamber (sometimes called a power deck) this could be just an idea ive got from toyota

BMW SERIES 3 E46 Looking at 325xi opinions please

My wife and I are expecting the baby any time now. I drive a toyota tundra and she has a celica. We like it but it is too small and unsafe for a baby so we are looking for eithor a 4 door AWD car or an SUV. (SNOW) I would prefer a car but there arent many options for us. Subaru etc. We are limited to about 10000 so that leaves us with used. We have looked all over and not really found much we are picky.

My past experiece is with a 1974 Ford longbed pu a 1983 toyota celica a 1987 Corolla SR5 a 1994 Subaru Impreza AWD and a 1995Honda DelSol.
