KIA OPTIMA Stock stereo quality

Im considering buying a 2011 optima. I drove an LX manual in south of Boston snow this afternoon. I was impressed with everything but the stereo. But I turned on the stereo late in the drive and was immediately surprised by a certain tinniyness of treble and lack of bass. There may

KIA MAGENTIS II How do i hook up sub wiring to a stock 2007 Kia Optima LX

Ok iver installed subs in many different cars. But i just bought a Kia optima and i have no idea where to start How the hell am i going to get to the plug-ins in the back of the stock stereo if it is even possible to install subs to the stock stereo Or do i have to buy an aftermarket stereo to accomplish this I mean i have subs and an amp i just dont know how to lay the wiring in it.

Hey whats up Dont worry ive run into this problem many times me and my friends are always hookn up stereos with stock cd players and more than likely your stock cd player wont have rca hook ups so what you do is go to best buy or circuit city they should have them too and ask for the little black box for stock stereos tell him you dont have rcas he should know what you are talking about and if he dosent

Not without wiring modifications. You might be able to find a factory wiring harness on some site like Crutchfield.com. Other wise your going have to cut into factory wiring or make your own harness to just plug it in. Main reason i went chinese was all included and plug play wiring for the optima. Now as far as reliability over time i dont know only had it a few months but so far i love it. Power

hes obviously using the class D amp for the subwoofer. Youd have to have some pretty special ears to tell the difference at those frequencies. (Which you might. But most people who use 1100W amps dont -- anymore ) Respectfully because you obviously know your stuff Neal I think the battery is overkill for the OPs planned system as well. Its just not necessary. Ive been running high end factory stereos

KIA MAGENTIS I GD AUX in on OPtima factory stereo

Does anyone have an idea on how to rig one of these up on a 2001 optima I have the factory CDcassette deck. Is there a standard plug or connector I can extend and plug my MP3 player into (not an iPAID).

I think the problem will be with having no way to switch back and forth between modes for the MP3. Those wires coming out of the back go to the amp in the trunk if your car is so equipped as mine is and to the speakers. The smaller connections on the back side of the unit is for the CD changer unit and I have heard of people wiring into that for MP3 but not on the optima. A car audio guy I spoke with

KIA OPTIMA crossover location for infinity stereo

where would the speaker crossovers be for the infinity stereo Is it inside amp or outside. i am trying to find the crossover for the front door speakers thanks

and I show where the amp is located. There are no crossovers. From the head unit to the amp it is a digit SPDIF connection and from the amp each speaker is wired individually. I looked it up on kia tech info once....each component is wired individiually. Even if they are a combination like the dash left and right tweetermid combo both component has its own wiring from the amp. For the infinity stereo

KIA OPTIMA Need confirmation on Speaker Wiring

Hello All - I added an amp and 10 sub to my factory Infinity Nav HU via an Audio Control LC2i Line Output Converter. To get the audio signal I tapped into one set of the factory 8 sub wires. What amp are you using for the interior speakers...do you have the model number If it is truly putting out that power at 4ohm stereo assuming you arent running anything in parallel then no I would not use the factory wiring due to the length of wire runs. I also wouldnt use 16 gauge. At the very least I would run 14 or 12. Overkill some of you say Yes but you are only as good as your weakest link.

KIA OPTIMA Aftermarket Stereo Install Help

Has anyone successfully been able to replace their UVO deck with an aftermarket unit I attempted to make this happen with my Pioneer P4400BH unit that I had previously installed into my EX. It worked flawlessly in my EX but for some odd reason I cant get any sound from the speakers on my SX now. Controls on the deck all work perfectly its just a matter of sound not being emitted from the speakers.

Have you found a stock wiring diagram and compared it to what your connections are I was able to modify a harness on an install on a 98 Mazda Bose system forever ago that all of the companies said couldnt be done 1 wire needed added power just as you describe for an external amp. It was easy to see once I compared their harness with the stock wiring diagram.

The problem as you stated is that the power antenna wire from the stereo to the wiring harness was reversed in my plug FROM the radio ( aftermarket metra 70-7301). When you switch the power antenna wire from the radio end to the amp wire on the harness ( with this particular wiring harness) it matches up with the green wire from the dash and the radio works This was a very tough answer to find Thank you so much. 2002 Kia optima LX Aftermarket Radio No Sound from Speakers Due to Amp not being activated on dash side.

KIA MAGENTIS I GD 01 Optima Transmission - Speed Sensor Problem

I purchased a 2001 Kia optima LX about a month ago. I have recently been having problems which I think are electrical in nature. I have seen similar posts that did not contain resoluions. Both of these codes indicate a wiring problem but because there are so many other codes a bad TCM is also a possibility. I would first check the connectors at the TCM and input and output sensors. KIA MAGENTIS I GD HELP electrical wiring problem car audio CD Player

It should have been so simple to install a third party car cd player on my 2006 optima (old style MS). My car is in USA. Sounds to me that instead of hacking wires someone should have used the appropriate wire harness. Dont mean to be an a-hole about that but the 10-12bux you would have spent on a harness would have saved ya alot of stress on this one.
