NISSAN JUKE Custom Thule Roof Rack - Bike Rack Install

As a life-long bike guy I actually cant remember my last car that didnt have a roof rack...and the most recent two--Cool Hand Juke here and the Mazda 3 that preceded it--were selected in part due to their aesthetic compatibility with such apparatus. My Mazda had secret threads embedded in the roof that allowed for a clean install that relied on bolts rather than the drip-line clamps that most racks

NISSAN Roof Rack 05 King Cab PHOTOS-INSTALL (OEM copy)

I cut a (2nd gen) CrewCab rack 14shorter to fit the KC and it looks PERFECT. The bars fit deep into the lugs so where you cut it is absolutely not visible - it looks factory EDITED for clarity Jan 29 2012.... I imported 3 OEM style racks because I was going to combine them for my LEER cap too. But that was not feasible due to the angle of the feets (see photo) . Ill sell the other 2 racks and one set

NISSAN Removable Roof Racks (SL)

Im wondering if the SL roofracks are easily removable. I know with Subarus you can just pop the bars off. I have a short garage and will need them off to get the car inside. I would plan to leave them off unless I take a long trip and need them. Im referring to the racks that run lengthwise and are standard on the SL not the cross-bars that are optional. Thanks.

No the roof rails (front to back) are not easily removable. They are bolted through the roof. You may also need to remove the headliner to get at the nuts from the inside. Once removed you are faced with several exposed bolt holes that may need to be sealed to prevent water from coming in the vehicle. According to nissans specs the SL models with roof racksrails are only 1 taller than the roof rail

NISSAN NOTE E11 punto 1.6 engine note

hi just got a 95 cabby 1.6. the tone of the engineexhaust is very tinny almost like a vw beetle. its not the tappets or anything just sounds like an old 1.1 fiesta lol is this normal for this model. thanks

We have a 95 Cabrio as well and your symptom sounds familiar. Ours has made a strange noise ever since we had a new exhaust. It is the correct spec for the 1.6 but it seems to resonate somewhere near the middle of the car a bit like it is leaking. The exhaust note at the rear is fine. You can hear it from within the car at lower revs and from outside when it is pulling away. I have checked it for leaks

ah that would make sense the sound seemd to come from middle of exhaust yeah roof leaks from corners so will give that a go cheers

Regarding leaks at the front corners You must ensure that the front window glass is correctly positioned after the roof is secured in place - there are little rubber lugs on the roof that should be outside not trapped inside the glass. These lugs serve to run off rainwater.

NISSAN JUKE Possible Break Light Malfunction (Roof Mounted Break Light)

I just happen to realize this morning after my wife dropped me off for my morning walk.. she pulled away and came to a complete stop at the enter section.. I noted that the two lower level brake lights were on but not the roof mounted brake light. Yet this morning while backing out of the garage The brake light was on as clear as day.. Because it reflects inside the cargo area.. while I looked into

NISSAN LE without roofrack

Hello all I have a second question for you. The only color that I like is the dark metallic blue. That rules out all models except the LE because I want a 4x4 long bed. Can the LE come without the roof rack I could go to a SE Silver 4x4 long bed if the LE is going to be more than an SE. I know it is stupid but I have had my 2001 SE 4x2 CC Frontier going on 7 years and I bought white because I saved

LE roof rack regardless of sunroof Nismo gets the roof rack with the sunroof SE has no option for the roof rack but can have the sun roof If you must have a long bed and do not want the roof rack I would say the SE is your best option. The roof rack will not be a choice regardless of the sunroof choice. Best of luck. On a side note I have the NISMO w rack and sunroof. I thought I would hate the short

NISSAN Peeling roof gutter paint - check your trucks now

Just wanted to warn my fellow Frontier owners to check your roof for peeling paint. Mine is peeling pretty badly on the edge of the roof next to the gutters. This is happening on both sides. My saga started 2 months ago when I was washing and waxing the truck in preparation for winter and its been a losing battle both with the dealership and nissan USA ever since. They are NOT honoring this issue with

I have a 2010 Pro-4x and no peeling paint but the sealant they used is pretty soft (I can leave my fingernail indentation in the stuff) its not sticky or tacky (its painted over). However one of my coworkers has an 06 and he says his doesnt even have any sealant up there.... Also should note what that one guy up above said is correct manufacturers have a limit on parts that are damaged from the factory

NISSAN Roof Rack Roof Strength

Hey guys sorry if this has been discussed before but I have looked and can only find information on buying and installing the factory roof rack itself. I called my local dealership regarding buying a factory roof rack for my 2012 Frontier Pro-4X since nissan believes that people who want to drive a manual transmission should be punished for their decision and not get to enjoy the same features as the

NISSAN Roof RackBars without drilling

Im wondering if there is a way to install roof bars that look like these but without drilling Im not looking to use them for anything I just like they way it looks and drilling into my roof as an amateur seems like a really silly thing to do. If there really is no possible way I guess I could just skip it all together but I really like the way it looks. Thanks for any input.

I went from 17mpg to 21mpg. I would disagree with that. Perhaps climate and road conditions may have been a factor in the increased gas mileage after removal but there is no way there is a 4mpg difference. I put 20 wheels on and my gas mileage went down 2mpg and the truck is now slow as hell (before exhaust that is) but something like a roof rack will not affect it that much. Just a side note

NISSAN Roof Rail Cross Bars 2008

Just got an S model Rogue and Im happy with everything but I need roof Rail Cross Bars which do not come factory installed (stupid) If I bought them aftermarket will the S model support the crossbars Or am I beat Thanks.

becuase I couldnt fit them on to my Rogue. By the way the permanent Yakima solution is the install of their product called Tracks and then use of control towers and landing pads allowing use of their crossbars and accessories. Might wait until they test clips on the Rogue or might get impatient and go with the TracksControl towerLanding pad professional install. Also the Customer Service Rep did note

NISSAN Roof Channels

Yesterday while giving the new ride a coat of wax I started applying wax on the roof of my 12 SV 4x4. There is those channels a couple inches from the door and they are filled with painted caulking. On my Taco they had something very similar but the Taco had a rubberplastic trim piece which sat in there. Has anyone had any leaks caused by this

NISSAN Roof Rack Air Dam help

The rubber piece that skirts the air dam and the roof of the truck has fallen off. The passenger side was falling off so I eventually removed the entire thing (makes a hell of a noise driving down interstate when it comes undone). I noticed they are stapled in and it wont slide back into original position (maybe if I pulled staples). Lately Ive been running without it and I can hear the air dam slightly

NISSAN 1st Gen Roof Rack Visor Thingy...

Ok... First let me say I like my roof rack.. So removing it isnt an option... But..... It seems that the visor part on the front of the roof rack seems to decrease my MPG pretty bad... I had taken it off this summer cause i have the sunroof and its nice to be able to see out the sunroof in the summer... But the other day i decided i missed it so i put it back on.. And I typically show about 60 miles

On another note you must be awfully hard on the skinny pedal Josh. I am just above the 34 mark and am at 94 miles (my gas light doesnt come on until 300 miles). This is with 60% highway at 75 and 40% city driving. Of course I dont have the SC but unless you are driving it hard it shouldnt cause that much of a difference in mileage [I am running 26575R16s (31.6) on my truck). In other words if you want to improve gas mileage tread lightly on the skinny pedal.

I noticed in a thread a while back you took yours off Josh and figured you did it cause of your sunroof. Ive never done it and probably never will as I like the look of it. Id be surprised though that it makes that much difference in gas mileage though. I can see why it would impact it negatively but never thought it would factor that much given our truck isnt the most aerodynamic beast ever built. I&8217m thinking your SC impacts you at least 1 &8211 2gpm definitely but look at it this way you&8217d beat me in a race On a semi related note I love the roof rack for functionality and looks

just a quick note. I have an 04 XE-V6 CC Long bed standard 5 speed and the mileage is horrible. I get about 75 miles per 14 tank and that is on the highway driving through a whole tank without stopping. But I usually have a 12 foot Kayak on top and notice Very Minimal change in mileage due to it. I would be suprised if that kayak doesnt change it and the fairing thingy does.

NISSAN Lights on the roof rack

I am planning to mount lights on my roof rack (04 crew cab). My plans are to run the wiring thru the tubes and roof and inside the front post. Any advice or previous threads on this (Im new to the forum)

the 1st gens seem to be a little more stout. It is still a concern thou so keep it in mind. Past that the wiring is not going to be bad. Just make sure you run a relay and fuse the circuit. Lastly make sure you aim your lights correctly. If you offroad make sure you aim the outer set to the sides some and the centers forward. If you are going just for looks then do whatever you would like. Side note

NISSAN JUKE Matte wrap or Plasti-dip hood roof hatch package

Wantes some opinions based on the nice clean look of Use the Force JUKE Graphics pkg completed on my silvercarbon fiber-wrapped 12 S Basically I want to go matte black on the hood roof and rear hatch of my stock Gun Metallic SV. Debating which is a better option vinyl or dip. I realize the plasti-dip may only get 1 - 3 years of life before getting ratty. Stock silver wheels will also be dipped to match

noted next. Graphics are gone now on the xB btw redone black silver two-tone only for a cleaner look. Thinking plasti-dip to start with couple 100 vs. couple 1000 and if I dont like the look can be easily removed. Not messing w rattle can streaks though it would be an HVLP job by the gallon. Hopefully sprays easier than Nason urethane primer that stuff is like syrup.

NISSAN JUKE Roof Rack

Needing a roof rack. Of those of you that have a roof rack what are some of the pros and cons of the permanent mounted and the ones that grab the side. Do the ones that grab the side wear at the paint Is one type stronger than the other I need to haul a Kayak. I like the look of the Yakima Whispers but 500.00 Damn Any opinions are welcome.

Ill note that my Thule rack comes off in about 1 minute no tools needed (has a built in allen key on each corner). I throw it in the back (seats down) when Im not using it. I havent noticed much gas mileage hit with the juke but on my neon years back it was noticeable like over 50km per tank of highway driving (non aero bar) I also have a sea sucker which I use sometimes. SeaSucker Vacuum Mounting Systems I know its scary but its completely stable and Ive never had issues

NISSAN 2 Quick Questions (Roof RackWind Noise)

Okay ever since Ive had my frontier Ive had a problem with the roof racks center piece when I try to put it to the middle it seems to slide its way to the back and it actually came off one time while I was driving and landed in my bed. I went to the dealership and they tightened it and said that it was actually supposed to be how I had it and when I explained my story they said I probably put it on

Fix is VERY simple.... They put it on backwards. The cross bar is shaped like a wing. The fat part should be towards the front of the truck not the sharp edge. If you look you will also note an arrow saying front on the bar as well. Our truck was the same way when we 1st bought it. I was fairly loud around 40mph . I would still at the stealership for putting it back on wrong. Take a look and tell us what you find...

NISSAN Roof Rack Issues

Well as much as I love my truck I think it hates me. I have had the paint peeling issues (all fixed thankfully) and just when I put new shoes on the girl she decides to throw me another curve I am perplexed as to when this happened but the adjustable crossbar on my roof rack blew off of my truck at sometime (must have been at night because I did not hear or see this at all) and is now gone somewhere

potentially good news The guy at the car wash had me fill out an incident report as I am sure this happens more often than you would think. He said to get a quote and then contact the owner. So maybe I can get a new one and have at least some of it paid for. Well see. I will definitely keep an eye on this thing more and definitely the last time I run it through a car wash that is not touchless. note

They are available in both plastic or fiberglass models and can be purchased via eBay or directly from a nissan

NISSAN Dang Nissan Paint

Well.... Ive read many posts about how crummy the paint is on nissans well today I experienced it first hand - my first chip - well lets say chunk - got it by a rock from a semi - but this is a little ridiculous - hit right on the drivers door edge around the window - now I am worried to even drive it through a high pressure car was because it looks like it will start chunking off- going to do a little touch-up work but just was surprised how much paint came off.. NISSAN Dealer installed sunroof

I decided to trade in my 2010 SE Auto for a 2012 PRO-4X Manual. Got a Hell of a deal When I got the SE I really wanted the 6 speed but I talked myself out of it and got the auto. After 2 years of driving it I decided to get the 6 speed like I should have the first time. Anyway...the PRO 4X doesnt have a sunroof and thats something Im gonna miss. The dealer says they will install one for about 900 bucks.

Posted by V8 man From the factory the roof panel (inner and outer) are completely different between sunroof and non-sunroof. As is the headliner. Certified installer Are you kidding You are looking at aftermarket. They just cut a hole in the roof and stick in a generic sunroof. Warranty maybe if you go back through that dealer but it is an aftermarket part. it will NOT be covered by the nissan

Thanks guys for all of your input. As most of you said and was my hunch from the beginning it would basically be an aftermarket sunroof. Im just not comfortable having a hole cut in my new truck so Ill just go without for now. Thump was exactly right there are different roof panels used for frontiers with sunroofs. I read where on some toyotas and even the nissan altima that a dealer installed sunroof

NISSAN Wind Noise

I had bought my 2008 rogue in dec & i have a howling wind noise as well. it has been taken in to the dealership (4) times & they do not know where it comes from. I am not sure if you take the crossbars off it will go away I do know that i have tred folded in my side mirrors & for now when i do this i do not hear a wind noise Who knows the noise is very annoying and for a 26000 dollar car you should not have to deal with this. Anyone have any good ideas

3) Discussed the issue with my service dept today they said they were aware of some Rogues making the wooooo wind noise which sounds like its coming from the main roof rails. However my service manager feels the noise is not coming from the rails but rather the drivers door seal. He indicated that its almost impossible to nail down the cause of intermittent road noises but if we wait a while nissan
