I have recently taken my van into the local garage for its MOT and it had gone into limp mode and the turbo was not working. They have got back to me to say the wastegate is permanently open because some of the pipework (presumabably which regulates this is missingdisconnected). Does anyone have any diagrams of what pipes should be connected to which parts Any help would be much appreciated. Kenny

hey. just wondering if anyone has fitting a manuel boost controller to there vito my model is a 2000 108 cdi and wat did you boost it up to and is it safe just wanna know wat your experiences are. if you have just turned the thing up to 20 psi and you have no idea what your doing please dont bother. only sensible advice. thanks

Upping the turbo boost pressure on its own will do sweet FA for your bhp - sorry. Now if you were planning a remap then I would suggest like Martin to increase it by the wastegate. Its very simple to do you only need a 10mm open end spanner. Basically you locate the actuator undo the 10mm lock nut and screw the adjusting nut on the rod and shorten the arm by maybe a few turns Nip the 10mm back up and

Hello to all I am very new to this forum so please be gentle. I have a mercedes vito 110 cdi T reg (1998). When I bought her she was a none runner due to a electrical problem. We managed to get that sorted quite easily our problem now is that the van is in limp mode. We have had it on diagnostic machines and showing no problems. So we have narrowed it down to the fact that there is no pipe on the pressure

Hi ya there should be a short length that comes off the inlet pipe form the air cleaner to the 1st regulator the pipe then comes off the regulator and goes down the drivers side inner wing at the back and comes out just behind the wheel. There is a second regulator here the pipe comes off this and goes to the waste gate on the turbo. I pressume it is the long pipe that goes from the top regulator down

hello i have a 02 vito 108cdi what happend was it started off by being hard to start it would take awhile this just got worse until one day it would not start at all so i changed the glow plugs still nothing so i changed the deisel filter and bled it it started over the next few days the same thing happened again . i would be gratful for any help

Hello Making diagnostic with Carsoft it says Error P0100 Hotfilm mass air flow sensor and when showing Live CDI data the AirFlow parameter says value not set so the ecu works with a default value. The Bosch part number of the sensor is 0 280 217 114. I bought not original but a third party MAF sensor and when I changed it Carsoft does not give error P0100 but the Live CDI data Airflow parameter again

You are welcome the part you refer to is the turbo wastegate actuator and controls the amount of boost the turbo makes along with the turbo regulator valves. Glad its all fixed Martin

Hi (ignoring the fact that a diesel engine is an engine designed to run fuel too crude for 113 and 114 owners) Black smoke is partially unburned fuel. This is probably caused by a lack of air an over-rich mixture. This is confirmed by engine behaviour when the throttle is released - the fuel is cut the mixture leans out towards the correct mixture (which will explode better) and so revs increase.

I have 2000 313CDI Sprinter turbo diesel which looses power for no particular reason at various intervals I had it scanned and the fault code that came up was P1470 charge pressure control does anyone know what this is referring too so that I can repair it.

Hi Mr T this is the turbo boost presure controller it regulates boost by varying the vacuum at the wastegatebypass actuator. Id check all the vac hoses & the wiring. Ive been having the same probs with my 108cdi vito & havent gotten to the bottom of it yet Myles
