MERCEDES BENZ CLASS V 6382 Vito 108cdi (2004) w638 Will not start

Ok firstly new member so Hi from Australia Bought my vito about a week ago and has been starting and running fine. I did notice the glow plug light (when ignition is on) only comes on for less than 2secs goes out engine starts light comes back on for about 1min. BUT the other night the engine failed to start (and unfortunately had to get it towed to a friends place nearby). It has battery power engine

it will spin but no fire put battery on charge for a few hours (while still connected to vehicle ) re bled fuel line (vacum pump on return line ) to get all the air out changed the o rings in the pressure reg ( thing that lives at the gear box end of the fuel rail) checked cleaned all plugs and wires that i moved got local diagnostic guy over to check codes and fuzes he could not read the ecu mercedes

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS V 6382 Vito 108 cdi Immobiliser

Im having some issues finding the immobilizer in that I cant find it. Is it supposed to be behind the dash cluster on the drivers side (RHD) sliding in a little bracket because if it is I have a piece of foam block there with a plug nearby that is black and square. Also my key doesnt look like it has a chip in it. So would it be likely that my vito doesnt have an immobilizer in it I need to find these to send it away for repairsdiagnostics. Thanks Stevie

hi all one for martin if thats ok...... hi all the drama i have continues in a short version.... drove vehicle to my work shop stopped it replaced 4 washers under injectors reassembled and tried to start .... it will spin but no fire put battery on charge for a few hours (while still connected to vehicle ) re bled fuel line (vacum pump on return line ) to get all the air out changed the o rings in the pressure reg ( thing that lives at the gear box end of the fuel rail) checked cleaned all plugs and wires that i moved got local diagnostic guy over to check codes and fuzes he could not read the ecu fuzes ok he could not read the ecu and as we tried to start it again will spin and with some engine start down the intake will run with starter still operating or with engine start it seems that we are not getting any pulse to the solinoids ontop of the injectors while cranking removed the immobliser box and got it checked with the key all ok has the ECU died also is there another box or relay there where is it what is a dme relay where the hadies does that live i really am at my wits end and the petrol can a lighter and a rag seems so apealing but its a customers car and i cant.... any one help mercedes benz vito cdi110 year 2000 built for asian market in spain chassis no vsa638 ....

MERCEDES BENZ 123 123 Leak on top of injection pump on my gray market 82 240TD

I have fuel leak on the top the injection pump on my gray market 82 240TD. The engine still runs pretty well though it is a little more lopey than usual probably from air getting into the system. The leak appears to come from under the plates which hold the injector pump adjustment. I have attached an image that shows what I am talking about. Does anyone know if this is something that can be fixed

Ive just bought this van and overall we love it. I have a couple of hickies that I could do with some help with. washer stalk- I have a feeling that at some point the previous owner had an issue. When I Push the stalk inwards the front wipers wipe and I hear the pump but no water. When I pull the stalk towards me I get water at the front front washers stay still and the rear washer wipes with no water.

Can someone please help me with a small issue I have with my ABC pump replacement. The Banjo on the high pressure output appears to have viton (green) O rings manufactured into the banjo on both sides. What do I do about reusing the banjo on the new pump 1. I have gently tried to pry them out but they appear manufactured in rather than just stuck through age. Do I need to just man up and scrape them

I burn B99 biodiesel in my 99 and it runs like a dream and smells like McDonalds Once you replace all the o-rings and all the clear fuel lines and delivery valve washers and seals with viton seals on the 606 engines you will usually never have a fuel concern again. Hi to everyone I recently purchased a 52 plate vito with 80000 miles. It broke down and I had to call out Merc roadside who replaced an injector ( 550.00 ) the guy said one has allready been replaced so there are two original injectors still fitted. Since this I have searched and found numerous threads on what a nightmare thhey can be .The question is should I replace the two injectors now replace the copper washers now or join the AA and wait for a failure Many thanks in advance Pablo

Ive just bought a 2002 vito 110 CDi for towing my trailerrace car combo its done alot of miles (185k) but has a full MB Service history and seemed to have any work done that was required. I also got the original order invoice with the van seems it was fitted with a few factory options including the tow bar AC Remote locking ABS with Traction

Problem solved.... WD40 and some wet&dry paper on the contacts did the trick OK just need to fix the window washer pump and get the AC regassed now.

Are all vitos heaters erratic Mine seems to start ok and demist most of the screen but seems to after a while of weakly blowing hot air decide to go luke warm. Hi Guys an answer would be great. I just bought a 2002 112Cdi Auto to find it needed new injector seals fixed those now hopefully but have also found other faults. My temp runs between 50 to 60 as this is between the two numbers on the gauge 4080 I dont think my heater works as the knob rotates too easily without any resistance but I havent tested it properly. Im after some tips on doing the auto filter and oil change on my 115CDI 2006 vito. It has the 722.682 NAG1 5 speed auto. Studying the WIS shows me its quite straight forward. The only slightly tricky bit is flushing the lines to the oil cooler and the thermo control valve. Just got done replacing the o-rings on the delivery valves on my 95 300D. Im sure others here have done this but here are a few pics. Previous owner slathered some red RTV silicon on some broken plastic tubing. I will have to order all the ones that insert into the manifold. Kind of a funky system. Discovered frayed wires and some missing pieces. Nice and dry now. It took a lot longer than I thought it would with fixing the wiring and all but a relatively easy job.

Yup it was leaking see the drop in the last pic There was a lot of fuel flowing down the side of the pump that is hard to see. The wind from under the car would blow the fuel upward covering everything. Even though this leaking is a very well know issue i wanted to SEE the leak. I had to pressure wash everything and run the car to find out where the leak was. No leaks yet Im going to drive it a bit
