From the many posts and advice I have decided that to get the best look out of my clk with my 18 staggered 8.5J and 9.5J wheels to get the even fender (wheel-arch) gap needed I will be doing the following Eibach Pro kit springs Change front pads to no1 and rears to no2 Four wheel alignment ...and after the drop and the car has settled I may add some 5mm spacers to get the rear wheel flush to the arch

Worst clk I have ever seen and I feel bad for poor car how ugly it turned out.

As Thrill Kill said the DTM look is too slap dash. Maybe a good body guy could do a flair job to the fenders something like an Aston Martin Vanquish or a Porsche 911. I admire the modern 911 Turbos and Turbo wannabes for the way they fit hugely wide tires out back (Ive seen 330s) with finesse. But I see problems with doing the same to a clk. One of course is the cost. Anyone know what good body guys

Well if you look at the kit thats on the clk. Its not that bad an not to far off from the first original design. Just needs a vent on the rear of the arches. more flush wheels then deep style and lower. I would get rid of the sides and use the more flatter style that is the true dtm style. and raise the arches up an cut more into the fender so you could lower the car more.. now i wonder how much it costs...

Totally agree There have been some reports of rust forming on the wheel arches on some cars and others have reported some rust where the front panel meets the a-pillar if it was initially fitted too tightly.
