From the many posts and advice I have decided that to get the best look out of my clk with my 18 staggered 8.5J and 9.5J wheels to get the even fender (wheel-arch) gap needed I will be doing the following Eibach Pro kit springs Change front pads to no1 and rears to no2 Four wheel alignment ...and after the drop and the car has settled I may add some 5mm spacers to get the rear wheel flush to the arch

MERCEDES BENZ CLK I 208 Wheel Question - long

Bought a 2002 clk430 back in November and as Ive seen in other posts Ive got issues with cracks in the OEM AMG 5-spoke wheels. From what I can tell at least 3 of the wheels were cracked and repaired previously and one of those wheels has cracked again (at the original crack as well as a new one) so I am on a quest for new wheels. I have decided on 19x8.5 front with 35mm offset and 19x9.5 rear with

Hi - first suggestion read through other threads on this topic in the archives using Search Advanced with alarm as the keyword. Heres a recent discussion on the W208 forum - their system is similar to W209. httpwww.benzworld.orgforumsw208...-off-lock.html It was stated that you can reach the siren without removing the wheel inner fender just from beneath the car with the front undercover removed.

MERCEDES BENZ CLK I 208 Rust on my CLK 430 passenger door

I just noticed some rust5 inches in diameter on my clk 430 passenger door. Can I get the door repoainted or does the entrire car have to be repainted. Does anyone know what this might run me I have a black clk 2003

Totally agree There have been some reports of rust forming on the wheel arches on some cars and others have reported some rust where the front panel meets the a-pillar if it was initially fitted too tightly. Others have reported issues where tons of dirt and debris get lodged behind the wheel arch liners - leaving a constantly moist mess that eventually causes problems. A 5 spot on a door - where on

Have rolled the front fenders quite aggressively and flared out the rear wheel arches. Thats why I bought the AMG 3-piece thinking theyll fit. After seeing the pics posted by clk320 Im even more determined to get it fitted.
