So I am stuck at the last top part of removing my drivers side door panel (pictures below) and I cannot seem to get it off without breaking something. I am afraid I will snap a connection or plastic fastener if I lift up. Am I missing another screw or something I need to access the door panel to take out the broken door-catch and replace it when it comes in. My car is a 2000 W208 cabriolet. Thanks for any help
Just to let you all know this old thread is still out there saving lives. I just came in from doing my passenger side door. The drivers side is still to come. ( Yes BOTH door checks broke Followed the PDF like clock work reached up( with much effort) through the speaker hole after I removed it removed the old mechanism and inserted the new one through the speaker hole (with much effort. Not much room

So I had the glass replaced twice Dont want to go into it except to say if the glass repair says they know how to work on a benz hook em up to a lie detector. Anyway they finally got the correct glass but couldnt adjust properly for the wind noise. Wind noise just happens to be a search that reveals considerable angst among clk owners. So to help some of my fellow owners here is a little primer on
Everyone. My dad has a clk320 (early 2000 model). A thief broke his left passenger side front door window. Its a right hand drive vehicle (we drive on the same side of the road as in the UK). The glass guys have broken three windows so far as they cant get it to fit. They keep leaving a gap between the door and the middle of the window so water air etc keeps coming in. They now have said that mercedes
off to look down at the screw and it wasis a kinda support brace that as mentioned can move the window closer or further and not up or down. I have still not corrected the windo noise without the putting the window down thing. Thanks. TresX do you have more pics of the white clk. I wont to see if the front looks as good as the rear. Nice rear kit on that thing....I also like the door ideal but it is hard for me to find a place in North Carolina to do any mods to a benz.

Guys. For those that can manage to shed their love affair with the MB over-priced parts counter Parts Geek has Brembo rotors for the clk430 at 73.94 front and ATE rotors at 41.94 rear. I forgot you are the one that sits in on place melting your tires while holding the brake. I did that with my parents car when I was 16. So burn another set off and tell us its no big deel to change the tires. I bet the mercedes service manager runs when he sees you thinking what are you going to want for free. I am sure you have somthing else to say.I have nothing to say but when you are in North

hi I have the same problem and can only lockunlock my car using infar red by pointing key at drivers door small red square. I was told by a dealer that i had a front screen with no antenna lots of money to resolve taking out screen dash board. I hope the receiver is in the mirror that would be a lot less. My rear heated window works fine. my car is a clk200 2003 which I bought second hand . can any one help

Can anyone who has a manual help on the 200 clk cabrio I would like to know 1) Where the antennaaerial is located 2) Where the radio ampliefier is located 3) where the fuses for the rf system are located 4) is the Antenna aerial the same as the one used for the radio. The rf seems to fail if electrical work is undertaken by a dealer or tinting or the mercedes
The fenders are easy once you have the bumper removed. All the screws are exposed. The front bumper if I remember correctly (4) 10mm in front 2 on each side fender well I think 4 or 6 clips on the bottom. Totally agree There have been some reports of rust forming on the wheel arches on some cars and others have reported some rust where the front panel meets the a-pillar if it was initially fitted too tightly. Others have reported issues where tons of dirt and debris get lodged behind the wheel arch liners - leaving a constantly moist mess that eventually causes problems. A 5 spot on a door - where on
It is a good idea to list the details of what you drive so that people know what exact bumper you need. The paint code can be found on the drivers side inner door. Your owners manual will show you where. You can also very easily call the dealer and give them your VIN and they can tell you the code if that works better for you. FYI- I called the 800 mercedes number and found out every single option
Yes the clk like many sport model MBZs uses staggered wheel widths with wider tires on the rear. There are many reasons for this but the primary reason is to give the best traction and handling. You should inflate the tires to the pressures indicated on the fuel filler door. There are different pressures for front and rear and also increases pressures for speeds over 100mph. I find the best combination of ride comfort and handling is to split the difference between regular an 100mph pressures.
The more I read I think this is a common problem. Both of my door checks were loose the passenger side I caught early enough and tightened it down. The driver door check came completely loose inside the door. I took it to a car wash and they slammed the door and bent the window track. When you remove the interior door skin you must also remove the insulation and the plastic covering then remove the
Dont force the mirror to fold. Something will break inside. This could be a) faulty button (S16) on mirror switch panel. Input to front SAM (N101) b) faulty mirror fold-in motor (M211m3) Driven from door control module (N691) c) inter unit cabling - especially the flexible link by the door hinge. To determine if the fault is button or motor I would get access to the mirror connector M211x1. This is
