MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement

If your windshield wiper sticks stalls slows down etc a very likely cause of the problem is a bad motor. The root cause of that is two gears inside becoming damaged. I do not know of a way to replace either of these two gears alone. Not to mention this is probably a bad solution for several reasons the main reason being that a full motor replacement is cheap and easy. The part costs less than 100 and

attention to the shape it is molded to fit in one direction only. Pull most of the wire back out of the box through the grommet to make it easier to close later. Clip the motor power cord in then plug in the fuse and get ready to test. Step Four Test motor operation. Get in your car and test. With everything bolted down not much can go wrong. Your wiper can not extend too far one way or another mercedes

reason to ever adjust nut 1. There is an alignment mark on this part that shows you where the factory put the park position. Hi Jonzbenz my name is Dec I am the original author of the 2 pictures in the above post 6 . I thought I should let you know that the pictures A and C below had been revised you must have missed them here in post 12 page 2&8230 Setting up Front Windscreen wiper - Page 2 - mercedes-benz

I have some thoughts on this. Did the wiper ever NOT hit the sides Or has it done this since you bought it If it hasnt always done this can you think of what changed to make it happen Be careful running the wiper without water on the windshield especially if it is covered in RainX. The higher friction on the windshield will make the motor work harder. Spray it with water if you have to while testing.

I have a 98 w202 c 180 . The wiper arm at rest sits up about 6 inches wont go into park mode . wiper arm works normally thru its range whilst on but wont go into park mode when u turn them off . if u manually move the wiper arm down to the park position it makes another wipe and stops in the slightly up position .Is this the gears or the offset actuator slipped . I have been quoted 500 aust dollars to put a second hand one in can any shed some light on this problem . Thank you.

Please help If that motor worked for one month then it was the correct motor for your car if it were the wrong motor then it would not have worked at all. The reason that your motor failed may have been because the wiper mechanism was not lubricated as illustrated in the video below OR the wiper was turned on while the wiper blade was frozen or snowed to the windscreen. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 How to change winshield wiper motor

Does anyone know how to change the windshield wiper motor on a 2000 E320 Wagon Ours stopped working and it only moves when we push it with our hand to wipe the windshield in the morning. The only thing that works from the stalk is the highbeamswindshield washer. Other than that our wiper does not move at all. Any help before the rain would be great Thanks

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Motor Starter and Wiper Motor

Hello Everyone Does anyone know if the 240GD uses the same starter motor as the 240D sedans. Also could a wiper motor for a 240D sedan work on my G. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Wiper Motor or Blower Motor Resistor Pack Failure

Looks like our 98 ML320 just went into old age failure mode this weekend - the ventilation system just started blowing out a acrid electrical burning smell. Fuse 44 blew and the wipers stopped working along with the power mirror adjustment. The AC blower motor still worked fine I suspect either a bad resistor array for the AC system or perhaps even a bad wiper motor - there was a wisp of smoke coming

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 help on wiper motor

Hi guys need some help does the wiper motor go out on our cars or is it something else any links on info dang forum will not let me search Kevin

Yeah the single wiper looks awesome especially when theyre moving but they tend to stick. Do what OSUSCHE said about stopping it at 45 degree. Pull off the wiper cover and you should be able to see the shaft. Grease that baby up and it shouldnt stick anymore. But if its the motor then youre toast Check the fuse I think this is why they went with the simple 2 wiper design for the new benz.

Hi Guys Spent time today digging in to the car and finally got through to the linkagemotor. It turns out that what happened is that the shaft from the motor had climbed up and away from the internal splines. It came out around 12 an inch. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 Wiper arm breaks free of motor

So Ive been having this issue recently where the wiper arm will loosen the 13mm nut enough to break free. I had replaced a burnt out motor the past weekend with a brand new one tightened everything up and it all worked great for about 30 seconds then the blade stops and i hear the motor spinning. I check and the nut is fully loosened and sitting at the tip of the bolt. I tighten it down again same

I had this problem when I replaced my motor as well. What I gathered from other forum posts is that you need to press the wiper arm onto the motor. I used some channel locks to clamp it tight and tried lightly hammering the wiper arm (I do not recommend this but I was sick of repeating the procedure on the 3rd time. If you do I recommend supporting the wiper arm and motor from underneath to avoid damaging

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Front wiper motor question

When I use front wipers they seem to be working fine that is they go all the way up and down. However upon parking the vehicle (switching off the ignition) they will go up a bit and stay there (see picture below). Well I go to turn on my wipers last night

your gears are stripped. i had the same issue. its not difficult just takes a long time - if its your first attempt. heres what i suggest you do first buy a 6 pack. open your hood (make it upright). remove the cowling (the black shroud that keeps the leaves). remove the trim around the wiper assembly. now heres the hardest part of the job. theres more cowling behind the engine. you have to remove both
