The wiper linkage is sold as an assembly. If youd like amn illustration of it drop me an email at work and Ill email it back to you. As far as I can remember it seems like this was the very first part installed in the car. I think everything under the dash has to come out before this can be accessed. __________________ Tom Hanson Supervisor Parts Operations mercedes-benz classic Center USA MBUSA LLC

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS S III 140 Headlight wiper arm Fix

For some reason the drivers side headlight wiper works but the other one doesnt. I opened it up once tightened the nut up but it looks like the motor is spining without the wiper arm. I know this is a common problem but is there an easy fix to this Or do I have to mount the wiper arm to the motor somehow. Thanks for input.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 1995 C200 single arm wiper problem

Hi there I have a 1995 C200 which has a wiper problem. Basically the wiper arm initially broke out of its natural arc and would get stuck and would only work on the middle speed setting. I approached a couple of mercedes dealers for a solution and they quoted Â650-750 to replace gearsmotor. I decided to use a temporary measure of a shorter blade. Now after a year or so the wiper is not working at

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 Where can I buy a wiper arm

I took the cover off of my wiper arm linkage to lubricate it and found that the clamping screw and bracket in the pot metal fitting on the end of the wiper arm was broken. It was only being held onto the shaft by the screw fitting into the notch on the shaft. So I figured I would just hit a parts place and buy a replacement. But I checked RockAuto PartsGeek AutoHauzAz all of them. Even eBarf. I cant

The coolest thing about MB is the EPC website. They make it possible to find a part number for every part of every mercedes. You need a credit card to access it - but they NEVER charge it. Ive had an account for three years and never had to pay. It doesnt work in a Mac just a windows desktop or laptop. Do a Google search for mercedes EPC. Your car is W202.024. Your engine is M111.975. I just had to change mine as well mine wouldnt budge so I put on some penetrating oil on it for a few days(added some for two days) it just slid off afterwards. I asked a window installer and he said that he uses a propane torch to help remove some of the more stubborn wiper arms. I bought my new one from ebay this seller [urlhttpwww.ebay.comitm400446835910ssPageNameSTRKMEWNXIT&_trksidp398 4.m1497.l2649] EDIT....DONT BUY THIS ONE....the end is made of plastic instead of metal and broke off with minimal amount of snow. Hopefully no one bought this... Now off to mercedes to get the right one I should have done that in the first place.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 son of a ..... wiper arm removal

I could not get wiper arms off....wife came home and i can hear motor running and if i push on the wipers they catch and work sometimes....either motor or linkage or something... but ill be darned....tried both of pictured items and could not get arms off.... advice please

Those are light weight tools and you will have to get something a little heavier. Lisle Tools makes a good one but you will have to find it. when using the tool put the wiper arm in the upright position to remove the tension. If you hear the motor running it is probably the wiper linkage that is the problem. The wiper linkage is probably stripped.

I have tried all the tools above and none worked. There is a tool specifically for removing wiper arms and that worked for me. It only cost around 7.00 at an automotive parts store. There are pictures on benzworld somewhere. I will see if I can find it in a search. Mike [EDIT] Found it ---- Even with this tool it took a lot of force to get the arm to break loose. Hint leave the nut on a few turns to

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Wiper Arm Cap

Hello everyone A couple days ago when it was -20 I was driving and the black cover that goes on the bottom of my windshield wiper flew off. It looks like it covers a couple screws. I did a search for wiper arm Cap and there was only one but the link in the thread did not work. Does anyone know where I can get one or what its really called Thank You Dean

Fellas I called the local benz Stealer and it was 11.95 Special Order as William stated. Its called a wiper arm Cover and the Part Number is 1248240349 in case anybody else runs into the same issue. I searched online and the few sites that sold it were the same price or more so I went with the Dealer. Funny thing is the parts guy was giving me a hard time because I wanted the part number and the price

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS S IV 220 Wiper Arm Removal

I searched this forum for wiper arm removal and wiper removal and found no matches. I have a 2000 S430 with traditional wiper blades. I bough the car used in March of this year. The windshield has been replaced and apparently the right (passenger) wiper arm was removed and installed incorrectly. It rests about two inches above where it should be. It wipes as it should but annoys me when I see it out

Did you figure out how to reposition the dirvers side wiper arm No need to remove it its a pinch type set up - just loosen the wiper bolt reposition the arm (look for the alingment marks on the OEM windshield down in the black) and then re-tighten the bolt.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 Wiper arm breaks free of motor

So Ive been having this issue recently where the wiper arm will loosen the 13mm nut enough to break free. I had replaced a burnt out motor the past weekend with a brand new one tightened everything up and it all worked great for about 30 seconds then the blade stops and i hear the motor spinning. I check and the nut is fully loosened and sitting at the tip of the bolt. I tighten it down again same

I had this problem when I replaced my motor as well. What I gathered from other forum posts is that you need to press the wiper arm onto the motor. I used some channel locks to clamp it tight and tried lightly hammering the wiper arm (I do not recommend this but I was sick of repeating the procedure on the 3rd time. If you do I recommend supporting the wiper arm and motor from underneath to avoid damaging

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS B I 245 wiper arm removal

Anyone know how to remove the wiper arms from the B 200 I need to get the lower windscreen cowl off to clear the side drains.

Sure I do... I did this recently since my wiper arm bracket from the motor broke (hard to fathom why since it is a half inch square aluminum bar) causing the wiper arm assembly to move around dangerously - remove cover with a flat blade screwdriver - take off nut - yank up on the wiper arm... If unsuccessful use a puller Good luck

I have sworn at many wiper arms over the years. For the back window I sugest using a thin wood shim to protect the glass and use a curved tool to slip between the wood and the wiper arm. Work it in a circle an gently pry up while going round and round. Some as you already found are quite stubborn. Once you get it off use a bit of antiseize both inside the wiper arm and on the splined stud sticking up. That will save you alot of time and cuss words next time.

Ive searched around in some various wiper related threads but havent found the answer to my specific question. Im trying to remove the wiper arms I removed the cap...and unscrewed the bolt...but it doesnt come off easily...so i was just wondering if there was anything else to loosen before trying to get it off. dont want to break anything or screw up the wiper motor or anything.

Please believe me use a top post battery terminal remover. It will work. The wiper motor is not effected and cannot be damaged. The wiper arms are attached to the wiper linkage and the motor is attached to the linkage approx. halfway on the linkage. You are probably not turning the remover hard enough for fear that you will break something.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS S IV 220 wiper arm removal

Hi all Im trying to replace my Duovalve but cant get the wiper arms off. Ive removed the plastic covers removed the nuts but the arms are really on the post quite tightly. Is there a trick to pulling the arms off I dont want to break anything. Thanks. Boris

From my experience you have to raise the arms so that the wiper is locked in its upward location so turn the car on and start the wipers operating. When the wiper has reached its full apex point shut off the car. Now lift the wiper off of the windshield so that it is locked upward. Without the force of the wiper spring pushing up on the splined shaft you should be able to rock the female spline clamp

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 wiper arm help....

finally got a little snow up here in new england.....and my 4matic drove PERFECTLY.....the traction controlassist system never even had to engage once during my entire morning commute so i arrived at the office and decided to pull my wiper arm off the windshield....and so i pulled it up gently until i heard the click....my only question now is how to release the blade and put it back up against my windshield....apparantly im retarded and didnt see any sort of release button or something....

I just checked my operators manual and I dont see that specifically mentioned except for the section on replacing the wiper blade. It simply says Fold wiper arm forward (then it tells us how to remove the wiper blade and there is a safety tab holding that in place - p. 290). Hope this helps

Guys FWIW that mechanism is what controls the pressure on the blade assembly against the windshield. It should work smoothly and lock with a little effort now if it seems to take I think it is going to break effort give it a spray of lube and work it till it locks easily. IMHO it should be well lubed and exercised on a regular basis. Every time I clean my windshield I lock the wiper arm in the up off

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Wiper Arm hard to Pull Back weird hinge

Im having a hard time pulling back my wiper blade on my 2002 e320. Manual shows that it should pull back like any car. However when I try it it feels like I am really fighting the springs in the arm and would have to use a good chunk of force. So far Ive just pulled it a quarter of the way and carefully turn the blade over while holding the arm up to look at it. Its quite a chore and not as easy as

Got one part figured out. A discussion on wipers on says there is a spring detent that is there to allow you to prop up wiper blade from window when cleaning window at gas stations etc. This must be the hinge that Im wondering about. They also said to put a little grease on it as it can become stiff and make it hard to pull back the wiper arm as blade it pushed towards the window. Sounds like what

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C II 203 Wiper arm bolt snapped..what to do

While trying to fix an issue where the wipers rest position is in the middle of the windshield I removed both arms (single nut on driver side two nuts on passenger side). When I was trying to put the passenger side arm back on I over-torqued on of the nuts and the bolt cracked in half. I now have a car with only one wiper on the drivers side. Still rests in the middle . What am I looking at for repair of the bolt Thanks

I had this happen on a car once (ICR - either a W163 or W123) and I was able to fix it by placing the wiper back on the tapered stud then using epoxy to put the nut back on. Basically the friction of the tapered stud held the wiper in place and allowed it to pivot but the epoxied nut kept it from possibly coming off. I used it that way for several years. Of course if the wiper arm needed to be removed it mean breaking the epoxy.
