Well started taking apart my fuel system today to replace the fuel filter. I ran into almost all of the hoses being cracked and dried out. I went out and got Fuel injection line and was able to get most of the party back together but I ran into two molded type hoses. They go from 516 to 38. Very brittle and cracked I took them to the Stealership to see If I could replace them. That was a bad idea.

Since 2001 45972 has been spent. I have owned the car since 2006 and have included the invoices that I got with the car and all of mine since I have had her. This is on 1995 S500. IMO she was a lemon. My father owns a 1993 500SEL has put 110 of that amount into his and she is in perfect running condition. Your motors may have been worn out and broken or the wiring could be fried or the switch may have unplugged use a multimeter to check all the connection. My engine accelerates in full throttle as if it were stuck open when the transmission is put into both park and neutral. I think the engine would redline and explode if not placed into gear. I was able to stall and stop the engine by holding the brake while in drive. Luckily Im parked in a safe place and wont attempt to drive the vehicle until I can figure out what is wrong with it. I examined the throttle linkages and cables but they all seem to be working correctly. Help
