MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E III 211 Matching Fog lamps to 6000K HID Kit

I am trying to match all lights with a HID 6000K kit I purchased for my 2003 E500. I need fog lamps and parking lights. Also I am not sure if the daylight running lights work off the parking lights or I believe that the fog lights are model 9006 and the parking lights are 2825 model. Help in locating a reasonable priced location to purchase them would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys Your fog lamps are H11s. Theres one guy from Sweden or Denmark who did an amazing job w his globes on his E Klasse. What you can do is to also put xenons for your fogs..also at 6000K. Just make sure that the globes you get are H11. For your parkers you can put white LED wedge globes (since the parkers are wedge globes). I hope this helps.

On the fog lamps according to Osram Sylvania listing for a E500 2003 they showed a 9006 as the number for the fog lamp replacement in the US. I had just ordered some so I hope that is right. Go to the link below. Hoen high performance halogen Auto Lamp Replacement Guide - Results Print out the list and find them at your nearest retailer. 2003 mercedes-benz E-class (With replaceable halogen capsules)

I was told that the 6000k fog lights may get to hot and that the 4000k fog lamps will match well with the 6000k HID kit I bought.

The local benz dealer told me that there were no original benz equipment fogpuddle lamps to fit in the original front bumper bar cover for my C 180. I have and 06 mercedes ML350 and I wanted to know why the fog lamps dont turn on when there is fog. I tried to put the light switch on all of the settings and drive in fog but no fog lights. They only come on when I have just taken out the key. They never come on when the key is inserted and the car is moving only when the key is (can be in) out and the car is stopped. What do I do

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E Whats with the fog lamps

Ive seen a few new Es at a local dealer. Most have the new boomerang fog light but at least one had quad oval fogs.... Whats that about Matt

Models with Halogen headlights have the quad lamps below the bumper. One lamp is a fog light the other is a DRL. Models with Xenon headlights have the LED strip below the bumper. These are just DRLs the theory being that with the sharper cut-off of a Xenon you dont need a fog light. Stewart.

And those also only work on the driver side. I checked all the bulbs all bulbs are good and theres no light on my dash saying otherwise either. So im thinking maybe a relay is bad or something Also just recently my side

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G How do you set the fog lamps on auto setting to come on with lights

Usually leave the switch on auto for my lights to come on night. The only way I know to get the front fogs to come on is to do them manually is this the only way TIA GWAG 500

Its not foggy here. I was thinking of changing it to something that can illuminate the road ahead that I can see from the inside. Because it seems that the stock fog lamps illuminate part of the road too close to the car that you dont need illuminated. I dont know if thats the way it is designed for... This is to avoid turning on the xenon light in a not so dark situation or when driving in city. I

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 C230 driving lights (fog lamps)

Does anybody know where I can find these driving lights Are they available or did this guy fabricate these to fit into the spoiler vents They look sick....

Bumper mounted fogs came on the C36 and C43 AMGs... I agree they do look sick... you might try some online parts dealers... performance products mercedes benz of Ft. Lauderdale and others. Ebay might have some too... I think you would need a matching wiring harness to extend from the headlight area down to the bumper.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Aux headlight fog lamps and after market fog lamps

How do the fog lamps in the headlight cluster work I have the wiring harness and intended to mount a set of Pias to my either the grille guard or bumper cut out for my 00 ML. I understand that the dealer must activate the switch. If I install bulbs in the aux fog lamps in the headlight cluster and to the grille guard will both be turned on when the switch is activated What size bulbs are used for the fog light in the headlight cluster Thanks in advance.

The reason the factory fog lamps are not installed is that they are only legal in 18 states because of the height above the road. I live in WA and they are legal here so I had the dealer install and activate mine. They can program either or not both.

The switch is active from the factory but the programing defualt is for the lower wiring harness. You have switch to the upper harness to use the built in fog lamps oh and add the bulbs.

Quote majorkahuna - 10282005 202 PM The switch is active from the factory but the programing defualt is for the lower wiring harness. My understanding is that both are active or both are not. This would also seem to be the case in Noodles

I had to activate the fog lamps in my 2000 ML430 and install the bulbs. The type is listed in your owners manual. The green indicator in the instrument cluster does not come on as the bulb is was not installed. That is fine with me. These are of course not really fog lights as they are located up along with the regular headlights are white instead of amber and shine to the side instead of straight

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Fog lamps- I mean real ones

Ive got a 1998 ML 320. It is new to me and I am still learning a lot about the vehicle- thanks mostly to this forum. In SE Michigan we have a lot of fog and a lot of deer. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E IV 207 212 2011 E350BTC Sport - no front fog lamps

I just figured out that because the sports package has the day running lights there are no front fog lamps. Theres a rear fog lamp. Not a big problem since theres not that much fog where I live but I had assumed that I would have front fog lamps. I didnt really think about it until we had a little fog. The car behind me must have wondered what I was doing since I turned the rear one off and on several times.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 high beams and fog lamps

does anyone know how to make the fogs stay on when the high beams are switched on and does nyone know the reason as to why they turn off when the high beams come on seems dumb to me but mabye there is a good reason thanks

Just a guess but I think fog lamps are designed to illuminate the road under the fog. If you have the high beams on at the same time those will defeat the purpose of using your fog lights because the high beams will create a lot of glare by reflecting off of the fog. Therefore if you had both on at the same time youd have a hard time seeing forward at all.

Gee if you ever were driving in fog or heavy snow you would NEVER use your high beams. mercedes are designed for drivers not poseurs who drive with foglights when there is not fog. In Germany you would be thoroughly flashed for this antisocial behavior.

I drive a lot at night on very rural roads - no traffic and the more light the better. the fogs are great at illuminating the sides of the roads to better spot animals and stuff. all opinions aside anyone know if theres a way to make the fogs stay on with the brights on another note its cool on this car how you can shut off the low beams and leave the fog lamps and city lights on nice in the really nasty snow.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 NOKYA Hyper Yellow H1 fog lamps. EPIC FAIL pics

I like to try out different stuff. Sometimes it works sometimes it fails. The Nokya H1 Hyper yellow (pro) halogen bulbs are rated 2500K temp. and 55w. They call them a Stage 1 or S1 that means they are stock wattage. They looked really cool but didnt put out too much light. They would have been great in the snow fog and rain. They were just installed on Wednesday and the drivers side just blew tonight.
