MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 W202 C180 M111 Engine swap to M104112

Hey guys Im wanting some more power from my tiny 120HP c180. Would it be possible to swap the m111-class engine to a large V6S6 m104m112 class engine type and not make any major modifications to chassis mounts or any changes to gearbox may be able to source a transmission direct with the engine if this is advisable. Thanks.

same on models up to the c280 obviously the extra power would have negative impacts on brakes and suspension if its only designed for a low-power engine. Well now I wouldnt go as so far as to say that the 194 (basically 200)hp out of a 2.8L is really THAT bad. I mean its not great but these cars you must remember were the first era C-class and were built to a price not the other way around. So mercedes

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Letele Pass with G-Granny gearbox

Just want to share my new experience with the new installed Granny-Gear on my G. This conversion is really worth every bit. The truck has made the 16 km rocky pass (3150 m altitude) without once being stuck. I have done Letele 9 times and this is the first time that I have done the challenge in perfect relaxed mode. The G was idling (1000-1500 rev)up the pass and I was in full control at all times.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G What is wrong with this gearbox

I found this gearbox in ebay httpcgi.ebay.deGetriebe-mercedes-benz-207-208-D_W0QQitemZ8009334724QQcategoryZ61166QQrdZ1QQcmdZV iewItemebayphotohosting The place of the engine starter is in the oposite side as a normal granny gearbox can anyone explain this look this one as the engine starter in the left side httpwww.mb-g.degdatenthread.phpid50

Starter position is determined by the bell housing. For that matter so is engine position in relation to the gearbox ie - the clocking that determines if the engine is straight up (cylinders vertical) or canted over to the left or right in relation to the gearbox. The bell housing also provides distance between the engine and trans so that the transmision input shaft nose is in the correct position

Im not to sure if it changes gears as it should taking the S600 gearbox & mounting it to the S420 as for fitting all you most likely will need to do is to swap over the Bellhousing from your S420 gearbox to the S600s then it will fit your engine . MERCEDES BENZ CLASS V 6382 Dodgy Clutch Noise

Hello everyone my old unfaithfull Vito is back with vengence... It all started as a faint noise on gear changes. Now there is a serious rattling noise whenever I depress the cluch. The rattling keeps going for 12 a minute after I let go of the pedal even in neutral and with the van stationary. I am preparing for the worst... Does anyone know if the clutch can be done without removing the engine If not this may be the time Ill be driving it off a cliff...

Yesterday I tried to investigate the problem Ive driven the vito over 100 miles but there are no signs of the problem. The clutch performs perfectly as it always has there is no noise at all depressing the pedal. The loud rattling noise has disappeared completely. The only strange noise is when accellerating from low revs in a high gear. There is a loud humming noise. I wonder if I have broken an engine or gearbox mounting and the noise is from the engine getting out of alignment.
