MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Tire touching Rear Wheel Arch

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and note that members of this forum are very experienced with AMG mercedes. I just purchased a 99 E55 last week and yesterday I brought the car to a wheel fitter to put in a set of Brabus Monoblock VI. I went out to test the car afterwards but found out that the rear tires are touching the wheel arch (making a horrible sqeak)whenever I applied full throtle on uneven

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G 461 461-type wheel arch extensions in place

Ive had these for a while and finally found some time to install them. Maybe not everyones cup of tea but I thought since I use the 461-style 6 steel wheels that these would be the appropriate wheel arch extensions to be fitted. I like the leaner look as well as the fact that they allow the shape of the steel parts of the wheel arches to show. Ive always liked the details of the Gs wheel arch shapes

MERCEDES BENZ SLK R171 THINGS ON THE REAR WHEEL ARCHES

Can anyone tell me what is on the rear wheel arches of some SLKs I did not see it on my demo but did see it on some other photoed cars. Curious.

They are wheel arch extensions where larger size wheels are fitted. They reduce the spray getting onto the rear bumberfender in wet conditions. I had them on my previous 170 slk again where larger wheels were fitted to UK spec [and other] cars.

Its not true that they dont appear on US spec cars. My dealer had an SLK 350 this week in Mars Red which was not ordered but just appeared and the rear fender flares were attached. The car included the AMG package so perhaps they will only be attached with the AMG wheels. All in all it didnt really look out of place. Rod

Can you explain the process you used to remove the fender flares Are they secured with double stick foam tape Quote jipettersen - 9172004 913 AM These flaps are very easy to remove. 5 minutes on each side. They are just glued to the chassis.

hello The fenders are attached with double stick foam tape. Use a hairdryer and carefully warm it and pull the fenders away. gatecrash has right. My car is lowered with Carlsson sport suspension. The car was ordered with original MB sport suspension. But to my taste is was way to high. Carlsson kit lower the car by 15 cm in front and 25 in the back. reg.jipettersen

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Any pics of rear tube fenders

since my accidentmy G is going into the shop next weekand my rear fenders are not too happy either.i am thinking of replacing them with some tube rear fenders.Has anyone got any pics of these to give me some ideas of design and type of metal usedespecially how did you mount and match up the rear wheel extensions thanks irish

I think youve caught us out with nomenclature. By tube fenders are you meaning tube BUMPERS - ie- the heavy steel that protects you when you get hit from behind When I (and maybe others) hear fenders I think of things that some some call mudguards - the sheet metal covering the road wheels. And by wheel extensions do you mean the bumper end caps that extend from the bumper ends toward the wheel arch

Hipline you are right. I was referring to rear bumpers and the bumper end caps.Especially how to mate them cleanly into the wheel arch extensions [fender flares]as they are usually clashing in shape. What you call fenderswe call side panels. Hope the cross pond terminology has been sorted out somwhat. regds Irish

thanks Dutch that what was I was looking for.Pricey enough 600 euros or thereabouts. But it looks easy enough to put together apart from the end angles to the wheel arches. Would gladly order from the US apart from the import duty and freight weight to ireland. So i gotta DIY or buy in the EU.[(] Irish

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Wheel arch trimmings

I own a 460 G and I would like to add some wheel arch trimmings (as indicated on the attatched picture with yellow arrows) to it. Does anyone Know where I might find them and about what would one expect to pay for them All replies will be appreciated

I have to say other than aesthetics I cannot figure out what is the utility of the fender flare. Given the usual New England winter I removed mine to clean and paint the metal underneath with POR-15. It was my original intention to put the flares back on to cover the POR-15 (black on white). What I found however is that despite the vacant screw holes (as pointed out by Dave G.) the flareless look is

The offsets are too low. The car wants a 44mm offset up front and a 46mm rear offset in a staggered set up. A 30mm front offset will spread the load a bit over an inch wider than spec...a recipe for trouble. 35mm offsets at a minimum but the closer you get to 44 the better. wheels made for a W221 will work as will wheels made for 2008 and up C class. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 will 25mm offset in the front and 23mm offsef in the rear fit my w210 e320 1997

hey guys I just found myself a beautiful pair of Brabus 3 piece monoblocks which are extremely rare .. they are fitted with nitto tires( rears are 27530ZR19 Fronts are 24535ZR19 ) the rims are 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear with a 25mm offset in the front and 23mm offset in the back .. Now before i purchase these rims i would love your experienced advise on how the would fit and if the offset is too low is there anyway of still fitting these Thank you very much Rob

The OEM offset for your car is 41 mm with a 7.5 inch wheel width I believe. If you drop to 25 mm your relative offset is now 41-23 18 mm (using the rear for this example) - its like adding a spacer. Using any web offset calculator that means that with the 8.5 inch wheel the outer edge of your wheel will be pushed out an extra 25mm with respect to OEM. That may or may not be a bad thing depending on

MERCEDES BENZ 124 124 300ce rear tire rubbing fender

The outside of my 300ces tire is rubbing the fender. I noticed it when I had first got the car and it would rub when I hit a large bump at some speed. Now about 1000 miles later it rubs whenever i turn. It seems it has became more of a problem over the last 500 miles. It has worn almost through the tires. Luckily tires are old. It has 18 rims with 265 35 r18 tires. Could this be springs shocks camber

Hmmmm well its sounds more like suspension change more than anything. Probably not an easy one to diagnose but might be worth a quick trip and report to a suspension expert. We have safety checks offered here for 25 by a mob called Pedders and they may be able to quickly identify whether the springs have worn or there is an issue with the shocks (weeping for example). The previous owner of my 300 CE

It has 18 rims with 265 35 r18 tires Those wheels and tires are typically too big for a NON-500E application. You havent mentioned the offset of these rear wheels but at that width Ill just guess its around 30mm. The fronts are obviously a smaller size 265 35 18 is way too big I would replace that set of wheels with something more appropriate (size-wise) 18 wheels on the 124s is doable but 245 widths

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Inner wheelarch liners

A friend has asked whether the rear inner wheelarch liners of a 463 series G-Wagen without extended wheelarches will fit a 461 series G-Wagen. This is to prevent the rotting of the rear quarters as it typically happens to any 460461 series G-Wagen. We have been confirmed by MB Germany that following plastic arch protections from the series 463 would have to fit from the dimensions into your vehicle.

Jesus... If you just go into the 250GD 463304.. go into side panels... then right click once.. then click on rear fender.. You should then have a picture of the rear side quarter and arch.. click on 32...then right click it should come up with 4 covers 2 each for left and right one with and one without fender widening.... MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Rust under rear latch

Hi Everyone Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this I cant find any reference to paint warranty with the info I got with my ML. Any thoughts

Yep we had ours done under a warranty paint work claim. It looked exactly the same. The only stipulation was that the service book was stamped upto date through the dealership service schedule to claim under the 30 year body work corrosion warranty. Also we had the edges done under the wheel arches on the front fenders Next we will have the rears done as they are starting to bubble.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G fenders flare

Hi all just wondering if I need to drill holes to mount original fenders for 225 wide tires on a 461 Did someone have a picture over this mounting and a part number for frontbackGÃran

The holes that are cut towords the top of the arch only go through a single piece of sheet metal so it should be fairly easy to cost the hole with paint and sealant. The wholes toward the lower front of each rear wheel arch can penetrate two pices of sheet metal. This area must be sealed otherwise water will get into the lower part of the rocker panels and cause problems. How do I know you ask The

MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 Front fender panels - where do these go

Having seen a lot of pictures from restaurations on this site multiple times I came across these panels here They are supposed to go somewhere under the front fenders however on disassembly of mine I did not come across them. Are these maybe only for pre-85 cars or I think they are referred to as splash guards and since post 85s already have the plastic splash guards in the front wheel wells I thought

plastic shields and I would like to install them but (US) pre-86 cars have no holes to mount them to and theoretically I could carefully transfer those measurements from my 86 (which has them) to my 85 (which doesnt) but with my luck I would drill through a brake line 0 gauge battery wire rubber hose or something else vital under the hood. I think you can very well add them see following link mercedes
