MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 New wheels fitted (fills the arches far better) and spruced up front grill

Well after fitting my 8 piece fenderarch flares it made my stock 17 wheels look lost under there. Heres some before pics and heres with my new wheels (20 BK Racing 259s) i went with 20s as i didnt want to sacrifice to much ride quality and my grill before and after (i dismantled it and sprayed it gloss black and body colour silver)

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Tire touching Rear Wheel Arch

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and note that members of this forum are very experienced with AMG mercedes. I just purchased a 99 E55 last week and yesterday I brought the car to a wheel fitter to put in a set of Brabus Monoblock VI. I went out to test the car afterwards but found out that the rear tires are touching the wheel arch (making a horrible sqeak)whenever I applied full throtle on uneven

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Right front tire rubbing on fender well

The tire is rubbing when I hit a large bump or deep dip in the road. Dealership suggested installing rubber spacers on top of the springs. I am more concerned as to why it is rubbing in the first place and why only the right side. Anyone run into this before. Car has 80k miles and to my knowledge has not been in any accidents. Rims and tires are oem.

Ive just purchased a 98 E55 with 70k miles on the clock and have so far only used it a few times but the other day when I had 4 people in the car I noticed a scuffing scraping noise from the front passenger side especially when going over a pot hole or speed bump. As the car is quite low I have always tried to avoid bumps and lumps but this time I had to drive really carefully. I have taken the wheel

Never thought about camber however there is a receipt for wheel alignment from about 2 years ago but things could have changed since then Incidently I have just measured from the floor to the top of the wheel arch above the tyre and it measures 25.5 inches which looks a bit low to me

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Wheel arch trimmings

I own a 460 G and I would like to add some wheel arch trimmings (as indicated on the attatched picture with yellow arrows) to it. Does anyone Know where I might find them and about what would one expect to pay for them All replies will be appreciated

I havent got them on mine yet purely because i havent found a decent set for a good price and i am certainly not paying UKMB price of Â200 each In the uk it is illegal but I havent been stopped yet and it passed the MOT last month without a problem. The front tyres sticks out more than the back because of the curve on the wing (fender)

The offsets are too low. The car wants a 44mm offset up front and a 46mm rear offset in a staggered set up. A 30mm front offset will spread the load a bit over an inch wider than spec...a recipe for trouble. 35mm offsets at a minimum but the closer you get to 44 the better. wheels made for a W221 will work as will wheels made for 2008 and up C class. MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 Front fender panels - where do these go

Having seen a lot of pictures from restaurations on this site multiple times I came across these panels here They are supposed to go somewhere under the front fenders however on disassembly of mine I did not come across them. Are these maybe only for pre-85 cars or I think they are referred to as splash guards and since post 85s already have the plastic splash guards in the front wheel wells I thought

plastic shields and I would like to install them but (US) pre-86 cars have no holes to mount them to and theoretically I could carefully transfer those measurements from my 86 (which has them) to my 85 (which doesnt) but with my luck I would drill through a brake line 0 gauge battery wire rubber hose or something else vital under the hood. I think you can very well add them see following link mercedes

MERCEDES BENZ 124 124 help on removing lower cladding (front fenders)

hello everybody i recently did a sportline upgrade on my 95 E320 wagon. i was told that there would be rubbing and id need to buy an AMG space kit so i did. after the installation there was no rubbing except on a heavy dip so i didnt install the kit. HOWEVER i just got new tires and an alignment from the dealer and all of a sudden the car is distinctly lower and rubs very easily on dips. SO i need

Dave GSXR has some photos and part numbers on his site Index of images for the spacers and install. The cladding is held by a hook around the wheel arch at the front then some clips at the bottom. If you lean the cladding outward once unhooked from the fender lip you will see the clips at the bottom try to pry the two clips apart in the center to release them. The fender spacers go under the forward

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C II 203 H&R Springs help please should i cut front or not

i heard alot of people who got H&R springs cut the front 1 coil (1). Is it because the front doesnt drop as much as the rear anyways the H&R drops 1.4 already so if i cut the front then itll be 2.4 drop in the front and 1.4 rear. the look im going for is probably 18 rims but i want less than 1-1.5 finger (i want very litle gap in between) between by fender to my wheel (front and rear). so what do u guys suggest also should i get the koni yellow shocks or just use stock shocks

Springs should never ever be cut. You cant control the resulting spring rates and may end up with mismatched springs. The front and rear H&Rs drop about the same amount. The front wheel arch is larger than the rear wheel arch in order to provide room for the front tires to turn. Setting the fender to wheel gaps the same front and rear wont noticably change the handling of the car in everyday use but

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 will 25mm offset in the front and 23mm offsef in the rear fit my w210 e320 1997

hey guys I just found myself a beautiful pair of Brabus 3 piece monoblocks which are extremely rare .. they are fitted with nitto tires( Rears are 27530ZR19 fronts are 24535ZR19 ) the rims are 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear with a 25mm offset in the front and 23mm offset in the back .. Now before i purchase these rims i would love your experienced advise on how the would fit and if the offset is too low is there anyway of still fitting these Thank you very much Rob

The OEM offset for your car is 41 mm with a 7.5 inch wheel width I believe. If you drop to 25 mm your relative offset is now 41-23 18 mm (using the rear for this example) - its like adding a spacer. Using any web offset calculator that means that with the 8.5 inch wheel the outer edge of your wheel will be pushed out an extra 25mm with respect to OEM. That may or may not be a bad thing depending on

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G Inner wheelarch liners

A friend has asked whether the rear inner wheelarch liners of a 463 series G-Wagen without extended wheelarches will fit a 461 series G-Wagen. This is to prevent the rotting of the rear quarters as it typically happens to any 460461 series G-Wagen. We have been confirmed by MB Germany that following plastic arch protections from the series 463 would have to fit from the dimensions into your vehicle.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C II 203 Front Lights

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Rims scraping fender

i have a 01 E320 and got 18 cls rims on it. they are 24540 ZR 18 up front and when i take a turn with speed and go over a bump the wheels will scrape the fender and cut a chunk of the tires on the sides.. i think this is because on the on the top part of the fender well the crease is bent to almost a 180 degrees but when you go towards the bottom youll notice that it opens to 90 degrees which is then

the ET is stamped onto the inside of the rim. double check that. generally CLS 18 rims have lower ET than recommended for the E class especially when matched with wider tires. you should have check here on the forum first. the tire slicing becomes worse if youve lowered your ride. I believe the 08 CLS rims are secured by a larger ball seat and bolt diameter. so if youre using your standard E210 lug

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS G fenders flare

Hi all just wondering if I need to drill holes to mount original fenders for 225 wide tires on a 461 Did someone have a picture over this mounting and a part number for frontbackGÃran

The holes that are cut towords the top of the arch only go through a single piece of sheet metal so it should be fairly easy to cost the hole with paint and sealant. The wholes toward the lower front of each rear wheel arch can penetrate two pices of sheet metal. This area must be sealed otherwise water will get into the lower part of the rocker panels and cause problems. How do I know you ask The

freemoto- the likelyhood is high that with 8.5 up front combined with 32mm offset and 1.5 lowering the outside of your tire will rubb the lip of the fenderarch. the offset should be more like 38-40. so by bringing the rubber more to the out- side youre moving the wider rim away from the infamous nutrub on the sus- pension...but you increase the chance of fender rub.

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E II 210 Anyone rolled their fenders successfully

I have a slight rub at speed with dips and would like to eliminate this due to punishment my tires are receiving. I might bring it to a body shop or add AMG spaces as others have written about. With the washer scenario there is not enough information out there to inspire confidence. Any thoughts experience Thanks in advance.

yeah those look like the AMG E55 type rims. youre going to have to go with 235 fronts that should do the trick. if your tires have sharper shoulder you may even find that youre having to go with 225. more likely than not the 235s will work...unless you are going to lower it over an inch the AMGs come with the wheel arch lip flattened and may even be slightly rolled. at minimum youre going to have to

If youre just looking to flare the front wheel arch then try rolling the lips.. You can replicate the more flared front wheel arch of the 500EE500 by cutting out your old wheel arches providing they are not too rusty and overlaying them on the new fenders. This method will allow you to keep stock cladding and use a standard width front bumper. Just need to find a good sheetmetal man Its a great deal of work...easiest is to buy all the 500E parts...then its just an expensive bolt-on

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C I 202 Sold my 190e test drove a C280..some questions

Alright so heres the deal. I just sold my 1990 190e 2.6 on Monday and test drove a potential replacement today. Its a 1996 C280 in the same dark grey exterior and light gray MB-Tex interior that my 190e was Overall I cant believe how similar these cars are to the 190s. Overall shape location of all the switches same seatbelt height adjusters etc. The car ran 10x better than my 190e and was fun to drive.

crap. Trust me I learned that the hard way. Youre much better off feeding the Bose amp with a line level converter. See Crutchfield.com for info on line level converters new head units speakers and amps Mirror look-down feature Never heard of the problem where they dont go back up but depending on what else is on that circuit you could remove the fuse until you have a proper fix. Why oh why did mercedes
