MAZDA 6 I GG GY abs tcs and handbrake lights on

ok on random instances... i will be driving and then all of a sudden my abs light tcs light and handbrake lights will go on.. and will stay on.... i was wondeirng if ne one else had that problem... thank god it wasnt raining or ne thing...but yeah... i have a 5-door 6s...ne help would be cool...

The handbrake light being on is a new one to me. Are you absolutely sure that one turns on too This problem is caused generally by a loose abs plug and your car loses signal for an instant and is very easily fixed by just checking all your plugs. 910 times it&39ll go away when you restart the car (unless the plug is still uunplugged when you start). I suppose if the loose sensor is in the rear that

MAZDA 6 I GG GY installing ABS and traction control

I bought a 6i without the abs and traction control all the ones that did have those options had a butt load more options and thus not really in my price range at the time. Does mazda offer the ability to add on a traction control unit and abs brakes I am not even sure if that is a possibility now. Well atleast a viable possibiliyt im sure if you have enough money you can pay someone to do it sarc )

abs will cost you a BUNDLE Its a whole re-working of your brake system. Traction control on the other hand might be easyer. Its all computer controled so there might just be a few sensors that needs to be installed.

MAZDA 6 I GG GY Using different brand pads

I feel my front pads do not have enough bite and they are brand new. I did not change my rears at the same time as they are still ok. However the lack of bite sorta scares me since the oem seemed to feel better. Is it possible to get something a bit more aggressive on the rear The only downside I could think of is in extreme maneuvering situations which would cause uneven braking or am I talking out of my ass here.

Quote Gotta disagree with you there Post.........abs works by relaxing the braking pressure to the wheel that is locking up determined by the abs computer&39s input from the wheel speed sensors. While it&39s true that the computer is constantly monitoring all 4 wheels at the same time it doesn&39t actually ACT on all of them at the same time only the one that needs it.[b] I am willing to be educated

Quote I am willing to be educated here. However if the way you describe anti-lock braking (abs) is correct how does it differ from electronic stability control (ESC) abs has been around for a decade or more and -- as I always have understood it -- it simply uses sensors and electronics to replace the old practice of brake pumping to avoid locking the wheels. And like brake-pumping abs -- as I always

Quote I&39ll admit to being undeucated about ECS systems but while doing a little bit of reading research I found this wikipedia article that IMO does a pretty good job of explaining the theory and concept of abs systems and even gets into ECS systems just a little bit. [redacted] TCS (Traction Control) systems are a pretty logical evolution of abs only in reverse. They use the same wheel speed sensors

BACKGROUND POWERMOD PRO SEQUENTIAL ADVANCED ENGINE MANAGEMENT computer stands apart from most other piggy back computers because fuel mixture is modified by intercepting the actual fuel injector pulse signal not by modifying Airflow meter or MAP sensor signals. MAZDA 6 I GG GY Stability Control

Had a snow-ice combo event here last Fri. Was riding in a friends car a European brand that shall remain nameless but consists of two words that start with the letters M and B. It was some of the scariest weather this season & the stability control feature on that vehicle made a believer of me. In my opinion its the greatest safety advance since abs. mazda doesnt give it to us--only to European customers.

MAZDA 6 I GG GY DSC Upgrade

Very interesting...While reading the article on traction control at Edmunds referred to in another discussion on TCS I noted this statement As we mentioned above abs and traction control operate similarly. In fact the abs control unit is the basic building block for traction control and stability control. By adding modules and sensors the system can be expanded to include these newer technologies.

But the sensors still dont do it. They have to send their inbut to a controller of some sort (the main computer) and then the computer must have software that know how to interpet those signals and then it got to be connected to the abs controller chip (software). I think it would be very hard to add for your self. Thoug - for the car manufacturer it must be as easy as you say. I wonder if they even

MAZDA 6 I GG GY MAZDA 6S TUNING (Pro Sequential Engine Management)

its been a long time coming that us V6ers have been wanting a tuner that could be used univerally between MTX and ATX. Tuning EASY to use PC software allows all fuel and ignition changes to be programmed in real-time. Ignition timing and fuel mixture changes are totally independent of one another. Tune fuel mapping to any required airfuel ratio. Adjust fuel flow (injector pulse width) from -99% to

MAZDA 6 I GG GY Brakes Wear on One Side

Has anyone had problems with rear brakes wearing out on one side My 2006 MS6 was just at the dealer last week for a CEL. Subsequent replacement of purge valve under warranty. While at the dealer they performed safety check and told me the car needed rear brake pads and rotors. The car has 48000 miles on original pads. The pads they said were just about to hit metal on metal. Less than 1mm thick. Estimate

QUOTE (sin6racer Apr 8 2009 1011 PM) Quote realize that our cars have EBD (even the non Speeds). This electronic brake distribution is computer controlled and can squeeze each brake separately according to load. which is why i always (spclly for long trips) load the car evenly.[b] Not sure where your info came from but.... EBD doesn&39t apply any brake pressure it relieves the rear pressure to prevent rear wheel lockup.... BAC the Brake Assist Control monitors build up of total brake pressure with a pressure sensor inside the HUCM. During hard braking it assists braking by building additional pressure using the abs pump... All these details are covered in the mazda Technical Training Manual

MAZDA 6 I GG GY VENOM 400 Control Module

Hi people.. im new around here ) I read an ad in Sport Comapact Car about the Venom 400 Control Module and I was wondering if itll go well with the mazda 6 ([glow tcolorred fcolorRed size2 strength2]V6[glow])

This module is connected to the throttle position sensor (TPS) and the Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) and by monitoring the sensors output characteristics and modifying the input signal to the vehicles existing ECU. I dont think we have a TPS because our throttle is electronic. On cars with a throttle cable the cable connects directly to the throttle body and opens and closes the throttle

MAZDA 6 I GG GY Mazda 6 runningstarting problem

Hi people I have i big problem I have mazda 6 (2004) 2.0 diezel 120HP. Some time ago my car suddenly while it was working in neutral gear it shut off. Then I start again I put the gas treadle and I started to drive the car. After 10 minutes driving the

Hi Dave These previous days I have visited mechanical service. They put one device into the place where you connect the computer and I drove the car with this device on. The device serves to record all thing during driving. I drove the car 3 days (city driving) no problems. The new rims &39feel&39 lighter in the box than the old ones to me but no data to back that up. This all started because I bent a rim in WV and I had to buy a new set. Well I changed the left front rim to the RX-8 rim but left the other 3 alone since I haven&39t had time to leave my car at Firestone to change the rims. That was the first highway trip other than driving home from work about 15

MAZDA 6 I GG GY More Torque

I just wanted to start a new topic regarding gains in either Horse Power or Torque. As anyone can testify every product on the market claims Horse Power gains of 5 to even 15. Making it seem that if I add an intake an exhaust and maybe a high-flow cat and some sort of port cleaning... whatever that I should technically have gained 50-60 Ponies. This is horribly wrong. Yes You do get some gains from

MAZDA 6 I GG GY Traction Control problems

My TC is not working properly. When im driving it will automatically turn on when my wheels are not even spinning and i loose all power to my wheels. I have to shut my car off and restart it then it works fine for a while. It doesnt always happen though. Has anyone had this happen to them Anyone know what could be wrong

While i admire your willingness to resolve issues on your own this time im gonna tell you that you really dont understand anything about the problem if youre going to spray contact cleaner on it.... A wheel sensor contacts nothing. It bolts to the wheel hub and senses as it turns. When it senses that the wheel stops it triggers the abs when it senses the wheel spinning faster than the rest it triggers

MAZDA 6 I GG GY How do I wire my 12v plug to remain on

The 12v plug I have in my console powers off when ever the car is off. This is really annoying. Is there any way to wire it so that it remains powered Can I jump another fuse or wire it directly with its own fuse Give me some ideas. kev

Yes there is a faint possibility that the additional inline load on the circuit will trigger one of the other systems into inaccurately registering as an input change...namely airbag alarm speedometer and some engine sensors...unlikely but possible if the load on the 12v socket is high enough Ive never had it happen before but cars are almost pure electronics these days. By now the computers in them

MAZDA 6 I GG GY Carputer MicroATX vs MiniITX

Ok I was planning on building my carputer with a Lilliput 7 touchscreen monitor. Everything was going well until i ran into different form factors. There is MicroATX and MiniITX. First off Mini-ITX can be smaller than the Micro-ATX cases. However with Mini-ITX it looks like the only motherboardCPU I can get is the VIA EPIA-M motherboard with propritery CPU (Neitherthal or something) which is rated

It looks more like I am heading in the direction of Mini-itx but I absolutely cannot decided on a screen. I was very gung ho on getting a lilliput touchscreen but it appears to be prone to defects (refub lcds) from what I hear on mp3car.com. It is highly unlikely i will be playing a DVD and doing anything else with the comptuer while driving. Two things that might run simultaniously is MP3s and GPS.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 My First Service Engine Light

I had mentioned about a month ago that my engine occasionally stuttered while driving. However it was very infrequent and always went away. A week ago it stuttered and as I pulled into a parking space it stuttered rather violently. When I got back in the car the Service Engine Soon light was on so I immediately made an appointment Three days later the Service Engine light was off and there was no stuttering

Ford has used 2 different control systems on late model EFI engines (actually 3 if you count the mazda based MECS.) The speed density system which you have and the mass air system. On stock engines both work equally well and the SD may actually produce more power (it does in the Mustangs.) Once you begin modifications the SD system gets into trouble and mass air is required. This is because of how
