TOYOTA YARIS Lexus IS250 gas pedal Lexus IS Sport Pedalsdeadpedal

I wasnt really a fan of the OBX pedals offered and after talking with an MR2 owner about aftermarket pedals they told me that I look into going with the IS Sport pedals since its a very common modification to do to other Toyotas and fairly simple. After realizing that no one had in the Yaris community I figured why the heck not Simple for others doesnt translate to simple for us unfortunately. Because

I have throttle by cable on the RAV so I can not use the pedal assembly... but I can use the pads

Right you can use all the pads probably. Thats what the MR2 owner (now I forget his name oh well) was saying was that the pedals are all the same size and even if its DBW or cable so long as the pedal shaft uses a pin to secure the pedal to the shaft itll work which is why its such a common mod. Of course not so for us in Yaris land but nothing a blowtorch and a hammer cant fix.

LEXUS CT click sound when the brake pedal is released

i noticed this today when i drove the CT with the window rolled down in traffic. this happens from stop when i release the brakes and move the car i hear a click coming from the outside of the car. im not sure if its the brakes or the transmission. its not really that loud but its audible. i was wondering what could it be cause this is the first time i noticed this. i tried it in reverse but the clicking

Is it this sound The Click Video Flickr - Photo Sharing If yes it appears to be normal.

no its different from that although im aware of that one in the video. mine sounds like a very subtle clunking sound. kind of like 2 metals clunking. and this happens when i move the car forward from braking. im not sure if its the brakes or the transmission.

I started hearing this about two weeks ago as well. It seems to occur as you mentioned as I start accelerating from a full stop. Your guess is as good as mine - hopefully someone can provide some insight or theories.

i drove it this chilly morning (50 F) and i barely noticed the clunkclicking noise. could it mean that the brake pads were sticking to the disc yesterday when it was fairly warm anyone noticed something similar during hot days

LEXUS CT Sport Pedal Install and Pics

Here is the F - Sport pedal Kit With brief install instructions. I guess the major cost of this kit is the fact that you are getting a replacement drive by wire gas pedal. Dead pedal and Backing Plate Brake pedal Cover Drive by Wire Gas pedal The gas pedal is definitely drive by wire - 6 to be exact First step unbolt the gas pedal - 2 10mm bolts use a 6 extension to make access easier Then remove

So Ive installed my pedals but ran into one issue. The dead pedal here in Canada is part of the carpet. It does not come out. So what I did was use an 18 drill bit and drilled out three holes in the dead pedal (there are actually 3 hole places 2 on the bottom one on the top) where the drill bit fits perfectly. I then used 3 black self-tapping screws to simply screw in the dead pedal to the rubber foot

are you guys sure this mod is worthwhile 253 for pedals that no one can see except the driver and only when they get into the car no change in performance thats not a lot of value for the trouble in my mind. id rather spend the money on an F sport front grille lexus FSPORT CT200H FRONT RADIATOR GRILLE 2011-2012 eBay

LEXUS CT Dealer wont install F-sport grille and sports pedals in my CT

Well Im perplexed. I fell in love with the F-sport but didnt want black interior so I bought a Premium CT with nav and figured Id soup it up with all the F-sport accessories afterward. I called my dealership today to ask about installing front grilles and sports pedals and they refuse to do it. The reason is not what you might imagine. Thanks everyone for your comments. Unfortunately in Hawaii there is only one lexus dealer. But knowing others successfully had their dealer do the install helps. Ill try again Did anyone purchase parts from Sewell but have their dealer install

then look at how your current accelerator pedal looks under your foot well. See if there is a connector under there unplug it and make sure the connector and mounting parts looks the same as whats on the Sewell site. The brake pad is just rubber and a struggle to get off and on. The dead pedal should be the same. Even with shipping for those parts to Hawaii its still cheaper than the Honolulu lexus

LEXUS GS IV L10 2013 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport AWD- The wait is over

The lexus GS has been thoroughly reworked for 2013 so I was full of anticipation when I arrived to pick up the car for my test drive. I was also intrigued because the test unit was equipped with the companys new F-Sport Package and I had yet to see one of these cars in the flesh. As the garage door rolled up and I got my first look at the cars almost sinister new face I have to admit I was excited

LEXUS CT Sport Pedals HELP

Hey all I just received my sport pedals and Im looking forward to getting them installed Im wondering if anyone out there has had any luck replacing the dead pedal. There arent many threads here but it looks like Cenix and Audi4t ended up attaching their dead pedals to the existing plastic piece. Im actually thinking of taking the pedals to the shop to get it replaced.. anyone think this might be a

It says All that remains is

Dont get disheartened. The existing rubberized dead pedal is not going to come off without wrecking the carpet so dont even bother. You definitely are missing a part if you dont have the plastic backing plate. Call Sewell. To secure the dead pedal the carpet gets sandwiched between the backing plate and the dead pedal. You have to remove some trim panels to be able to lift the carpet.

The key which was mentioned a few posts back is that you have to take off the driver kick panel in order to lift the carpet so that you can install the dead pedal. Im not sure how you could do this without putting 3 small holes in the existing carpetdead pedal. It is a little tricky to get the new dead pedal straight but not too difficult overall. . .actually the hardest part was getting the new break pedal on

LEXUS CT Softmushy brake pedal

2012 CT200H - I do not drive the car regularly my wife does. When I took it out a few weeks ago I thought the brake pedal felt really mushy and also noticed (heard) air coming out with every press of the pedal. I then turned off the engine and pumped the breaks a few times. In all other cars Ive tried this it results in the pedal becoming rock hard after about 4-5 pressed of the pedal (as I understand

On hybrids you dont have a vacuum assist. The brakes are electronic. Its a totally different brake system than a normal car. They have that system on that vehicle so recharge on braking is possible. The air escaping that your hearing is normal as well. That sound is coming from the air escaping from the rubber boot that protects the sensor on the brake pedal from getting dirty. LEXUS CT What cars is the CT200H competing against

One that comes to my mind is the Subarau WRX hatchback.

LEXUS CT Accelerator pedal

Does anyone find the accelerator pedal a little harder to push than their other cars

It is sluggish in Eco mode for me. Anyways I think the positioning of the pedal is optimized based on the seating position. The steering wheel is angled 21 degrees to the sport seats w a low hip angle which is supposed to put the driver closer to the center of gravity. The pedals are thus configured to match this seating configuration.

The brake pedal has a lot more resistance than the accelerator petal with heavy traffic you are on both pedals about equal could that be contributing to your foot pain

Well I took my CT for the 5K service and spoke to the dealer about the accelerator pedal the drivers door sticking the passengers inside door handle coming off and the steering wheel off center. They rotated my tires and replaced the passengers inside handle and told me everything else was with in normal specs. Grrrrrr..... I looked at my other cars and noticed how far the accelerator pedal is

LEXUS CT Noise from the brake pedal

I noticed noise from the brake pedel especially when I slowly applyrelease the brake. Do you have this issue

I noticed it too - but only after 3 weeks of driving. The sound of the regeneration is not bad but this is even when I am in park and just touch the brake pedal so I dont think this is what it is. I was always amazed at how silent the car was as I drove up the driveway into the garage in electric only mode. But now I hear a very very high pitched tone when I touch the brakes at low speedelectric only

LEXUS CT The CT is pretty darn fast in sports mode

So I am curious to people who may know this... The claim that the ct goes from 0-60 in about 9 seconds is that in sports mode or normal mode If 0-60 in 9 seconds is for normal mode does anyone know how long it takes to get to 60 mph in sports mode
