LEXUS CT Rear parking sensors

Hello everybody I am new on this forum. We have a nasty problem with the rear parking sensors of our ct200h. The sensors do not always work. We cannot pinpoint the problem and we cannot easily re-generate the problem. In the manual it says that the sensors maybe could not work at low temperatures. It is about -1 celsius now. However the front parking sensors work well all the time. The sensors are

Mine (UK Premiere spec) has both camera and sensors and I use both. The sensors give a better idea of distance. Is anything blocking your sensors - I have an old Toyota Previa and a lot of dirt can stop its sensors working. Or snow. We have got down to -7 (thats extreme for central Britain) and the sensors still work.

Take it back to the dealer. They should be able to correct the problem. Dirt ice or snow could be an issue but you never really explained HOW they are not working. On other vehicles that Ive had with the sensors when dirt was on the sensor it would beep like I was very close to something so if yours is not working at all then Id say it is a wiring issue. Best to let the dealer check it out.

LEXUS CT MOD Installed Electromagnetic Rear Parking Sensor

I dont know about you guys but it annoys me that my 2012 CT200h didnt come with parking assist or at least rear ultrasonic parking sensors. I guess they figure the car is small enough. The truth is I share my car with my wife and she has had her fair share of parking accidents and Im willing take any preventative help I can get. I looked at the ultrasonic sensors and although I am willing to drill

Hmmm definitely interesting. From the looks of it its a long strip that you attach to your bumper and a module at the end to pick up the signal. How long did the install take you and did you install the front as well. Also is there a light like green yellow red or just the faster beeping

Install took me about 2-3 hours because it was my first time taking off the bumper and I didnt understand how the clips worked that held onto the bumper at the sides. I also didnt realize that the reverse lights were in the hatch and not the side taillights (stupid me). If I were to do it again it would probably take me 1 hour from start to finish. I did not install the front unit since I didnt like

LEXUS CT Question about parking sensors

Hello everybody I am new here so first of all thank you very much for having put on this board. I got my CT Sport last week pretty amazing and I have one first question about the parking sensors. There are 4 sensors on the back and 2 on the front. For the rear sensor no problem but I dont understand how usefull are the front sensors since they are only active when R mode is engaged (sorry I dont know the right name in english...). Can anybody clarify please

Front sensors are active all the time unlike the rear ones. There is a switch to turn them off in a R hand drive car its below and to the R of the steering wheel.

A few times I saw someone was standing at the camera blind spot waiting for me to finish backing up and I didnt realize

TESLA ROADSTER Using parking sensors

Got my S in late Sept with parking sensors. Theyve been working fine that I was aware of but I just noticed that when I am in reverse the front sensors dont work. They work fine when in drive. I dont recall this being an issue until the last week or so. Its particularly irritating when backing out of my garage or parallel parking. The manual says they should work in drive or reverse. Anyone with sensors

I got my parking sensors aftermarket in the spring after getting my car in February. For me and my wife it was a necessary condition that we could get them. I definitely got spoiled with my lexus LS460 and the parking sensors. Would have liked to have the visuals on the screen but with both sound and visuals at the front and rear it is good enough. I like that all the sensors are on both in forward

TESLA ROADSTER Parking Sensors - Any Aftermarket Recommendations

My Model S is scheduled for delivery between Jan 22 and Feb 5 (obviously it didnt make the first date). We really like the parking sensors on our lexus LS460L not so much the automatic parallel parking. Since the Model S is 5 inches wider than the LS460L we think the Model S would benefit even more from parking sensors. We also have the rear view camera on the LS460L and find the parking sensors are

TESLA ROADSTER Parking Sensor Installation Stories & Pics

I just had parking sensors installed in my MS. They are Cobra 03560358 (different sets of 4 each which look identical for front and back) and Cobra 00260027 front and rear display units (again different but look identical). They are made in Italy and come from Great Britain. Thanks to Dennis I worked with a local SF Bay area installer who ordered and installed them. Took a total of 16 hours of labor

BMW SERIES 5 F10 F11 parking sensors only in reverse

Im aware that parking sensors only come on in reverse and that a button in the center console can be pressed to manually turn on the front sensors. But Im wondering is there a hack or anything that can be done to get the front sensors to engage automatically every time Im pulling up to something close

Ah cmon you mean when my f10 gets here in 2 weeks I gotta manually engage front parking sensors every time This is old technology my lexus has had for 4 years. Its simple Manually select always on with a lexus and front and rear are engaged. Beyond about 6 mph10kph it is automatically passive. No sensors activate in stop and go traffic. On occassion with heavy snowfall you have to manually disengage

Hey markl53 I find the distnce sensors great as my garage is a tight fit with my motorcycle right in front of my front grill. Besides they are there so we should have full control not always be needing to turn on and off to do daily stops. It would change nothing for those who dont like sensors to have them shut off like on a lexus but all the way on all the time as in a lexus when wanted. Seems like

LEXUS GS Dealer install intuitive parking assist

06-2013-lexus-gs350-f-sport-review-570x378.jpg Hi I have seen where in the US model GS intuitive parking assist is available as a single option add-on from the factory. Regrettably in Canada it is bundled with the top of the line option packages required. I am wondering if anyone has installed the factory intuitive parking assist as an after market option through their dealership in the US or Canada

MERCEDES BENZ SLK R171 Parking Sensors for Front Bumper

I admit that Im pretty useless at judging where the pointy front end is when I roll to a stop in front of one of those concrete parking blocks. As a result Ive had a fair share of scrapes under the front bumper. After doing a search on the net I came across some front parking sensors at this site httpwww.parking-sensor.co.ukphot...mMercedes_SLK and wondered if these sensors would be effective if (just)

controlled suspension systems is a system that raises the front end at slow speeds (parking lot speeds) drops it cruising speeds and either drops or keeps it up when parked. I ordered the air suspension on my lexus

LEXUS IS II My 07 is already falling apart

Just lookin to see if anyone else has had any problems with their differential lock. The other night while driving home my differential lock light started to flicker on and off. Then it came on for a while then went out. When it went out my ABS and Slip lights came on and stayed on until I got home. Ive got an appointment for Thursday to get it looked at. I cant believe my 07 is already showing problems.

Im betting a wheel sensor. Our 2k5 has the ole slipabsabl light on every time I do some fast driving. Problem I have is having time to actually take it in to the dealership to have it fixed. That coupled with the damage some assh0le did to our SE-R in a parking lot to the front end....... People suck Take it in and make them fix it. I still need to get a quote on our damage to our SE-R. i had 5% done on a mercedes in the uk a couple of years ago and my god 5% is very dark at night i had parking sensors but not a camera system so reversing was a nightmare you had to know exactly what was behind you then use your mirrors to park with as your reversing lights didnt help you see where you where going. your car looks great

LEXUS CT Gen3 Prius Owners vs. CT200h

Id like to hear from current and former Gen3 Prius owners who are considering or have already purchased a CT. We have a Gen3 Prius and test drove the CT. We liked it very much although a test drive is hardly enough time to understand the CT. We would be keeping the Prius but adding the CT for my wife. Interested in hearing from those owners who have had the car for 2-3 weeks and learning about the

a must IMO. Garbage stereo in the base model Navi Premium sound is a must IMO. Not great visibility out the side C pillar as you turn to check blind spot. They should have included the Blind Spot sensor from the 2012 Camry in this car IMO. Need to work the side mirrors more when making turns. I had the unusual chance of driving a CT200h for a full week while my wifes 450h was in for service at lexus.

LEXUS CT Backup camera with navi

Just noticed on the Japanese lexus website that their backup camera with navigation (flip screen) shows a traceoutline of where the car will be if it backs up based on your steering wheel (my wifes Infiniti G35 has this) but it seems that the US version just has the image from the camera with no additional features as the one I am describing It bothers me that the US version seems to be the crappy

I may be wrong but I think that requires the parking sensors (youve seen them on bumpers) and the NAVBackup camera. I know that is an option in non-US markets - maybe someone outside the US can confirm - I know that lexus offers a front and rear bumper with sensors so I know that part exist.

LEXUS CT Parts availability

Had a rather unfortunate experience at the weekend when I was shunted in the rear by another car whilst stationary at a red light. I need a new bumper and one of the parking sensors is damaged. I took it to the garage yesterday and the bloke just sort of looked bewildered when I asked if there would b a problem getting the parts. By his own admission he has not worked on a CT200h before but the garage

BMW SERIES 3 F30 Why Im leaning toward a Lexus IS350 for my next car

1. Low T - In my 20s & 30s I was doing track days in an E36. Now Im lucky to hit 4500 rpms on my commute to work. 2. Laziness - I used to rule out any car without a manual transmission on principle. Now chillin with an 8-speed auto in one hand and an iPhone in the other doesnt seem so bad. 3. Money - when I bought my last two BMWs I bought more car than I could afford. Now I can afford way more car

JEEP WRANGLER Is an alarm worth it with a soft top

Got my jeep broken into last week. I never keep anything of value in there but they sliced my drivers side window to get in anyway even though it was unlocked. Im thinking about getting an alarm system but not sure if its worth it or what to get. Any ideas Thanks

I have the Viper 690xv with shock detector radarinterior motion and 2-way paging. Right now it isnt paging my remote but the alarm works well. It is more or less to startle a would be theif more than anything. The sensor works extremely well. It beeps if you are standing too close to the vehicle and if you stick your hand through where a window would be it goes off immediately. A lexus was broken into

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 PDC and Rain Sensor

So Ive had my 335i for about a month now and noticed a few differences for the PDC and rain sensor compared to my 08 lexus ES350. The PDC and rain sensor are always on on the lexus. They can be turned off manually. The PDC will automatically engage when the car is in D and at speed below 20 or 10 mph Im not sure on that part. It really helps when youre driving in the mall garage or somewhere with a

Has anyone noticed the backlighting of the navigation display changing from white to black I have had this happen on and off for months now and lexus cant find anything wrong When it switches to black backlighting I can still see all the information on the display screen - but the lighting changes from white to black.
