KIA CEED ED Noisy rear suspension

I thought when my car was new (a year ago) the rear suspension was a bit noisy over gentle bumps and slight undulations. Anyway it seemed to get slowly get worse but still subtle until I asked the dealer to look at it and they confirmed there was a duff shock absorber. This is on order to be fitted next week.

KIA CEED ED Knocking from suspension

Ive got a 2008 Pro ceed 3 1.6 CRDi car has just done 63000 miles and Ive noticed a rattleknocking sound coming from the front over the last few weeks especially at lower speeds and on bumpy roads with high-frequency imperfections (though most roads feel bumpy with the rock-hard ride on the 17 alloys) Ive read on here that a common thing to go at this mileage is the drop links - can anyone else confirm

KIA CEED ED Can you use Hyundai I30 parts on the Kia ceed

Hi all Since purchasing my kia I have had a massive shock regarding prices of parts for the kia. My question is are Hyundai I30 parts compatible with the kia ceed Thanks

Arent all ceeds still under warranty so why would you need to buy parts suspension is different on the i30 and ceeds but many parts will be the same. For example I have a new boxed oil filter in front of me and it is labelled as both kia and Hyundai with just one part number.

KIA CEED ED anti roll bar

thinking of upgrading the rear anti roll bar on the sw as it understeers too much for my liking. Now can anyone confirm that the rear anti roll bar on the 3 dr pro ceed is larger in diameter than that on the 5dr or estate If so it would make a nice upgrade.

French ones.) Pressure has little to do with applied weight otherwise the rear of a front wheel front drive car would be 23 that of the front. Here is an example. I know it is from 1974 but physics doesnt change. Alfasud 830kg 1.761.4 bar. Allegro 827kg 1.832.11 bar. It can only be a combination of suspension design and target market and cannot possibly be a matter of weight. Quote And on the ceed

KIA CEED ED Alloy wheel corrosion

Has anyone else experienced corrosion on the alloy centre cap on their wheels I have a 2009 Pro with 16 wheels and noticed the other day that the small centre cap on one of the wheels was corroding with the laquer flaking off. I took the car to Westdrive at Braintree where i bought the car last year and told them and they just saidok we will order you one and fit it. They didnt even bother asking to

well as having no noise from the front suspension. Additionally i was earwigging a conversation with a couple with what i am guessing was an electricalECU issue. They fixed the original problem only to find that now the electric windows wouldnt work. They suspected the canbus i think and didnt want to return the car until they were 100% sure they had resolved the issue and were talking direct to kia

KIA CEED ED 07 Ceed rear knockclank sound

Hi Have a 1.4 petrol 07 ceed (UK) and today I noticed a sort of knock or clank sound coming from the rear right hand side. It doesnt happen that often not contstant but I cant find a particular cause it does it some times under braking from low speeds sometimes on straight roads at low speeds (30mph) and sometimes (but not always at all) on uneven surfaces. I have had the drop links at the front replaced

KIA CEED ED Bottom Bushes Ceed 1.6CRDi

Had steering alignment checked recently. Mechanic queried the front bottom bush condition. The rubber bushes sit vertically and when the car is on the lift the bushes show above their sleeve when the weight of the wheel and suspension is acting downwards. Mechanic thought that bushes were delaminating. Had car into dealership for 50000 service and no mention was made of this. Is this the normal behaviour

Hi... I just got a kia ceed GDI 1.6 GT 204HK and I need to lower the car anybody know where i can buy springs or coilovers for this car Thx..

Honestly lads Reading through this post has provided me entertainment... but lets thank Ron1004 for keeping the peace. Firstly I would like to refer to seven7 and his views... I agree with what was said. Manufacturers spend millions on design and testing to come up with the correct suspension set up. The majority of car buyers see a car as a method of transport and nothing else. They buy cars new and

KIA CEED ED Not just another Pro ceed.

Hello to everyone. Im AndiI-m from Romania and I decided to present my car with all the modifications that are made by me. I bought the car in July 2008 and in March 2009 I started working on it. I started working for the audio system. I added to two subwoofers alpine type R two Alpine MRP M650 amplifiers a SinusLive amplifier for mid and high frequencies (not connected yet).Ill change the door speakers

Hello everybody. An update Last year the car has received a few gadgets - Multimedia Unit Kenwood dnx 5240bt - 17 LCD display only for exhibitions - LED undercar just for fun and shows. 2 months ago the car went into a rebuilding process. It was a hard and meticulous process but the finished result was as expected. I try to keep the original lines with some aggressive accents. Interior -Full cross-leather (seat elements of the board dome (roof) armrest and door panels). -the front seats were modified -finally have integrated speakers in door panels -carbon look central console Exterior -front bumper rear bumper completely changed -wheels were painted matte white -car-went down by 15 mm in total - 45mm. (suspension only) -reconfigure the exhaust on the back to fit the boxes in the new rear bumper. Im working on some small things that I want to keep secret until completion so that are some future plans. Here are some pictures httpspicasaweb.google.com1159736...aProceedTuning Best regards Andy

KIA CEED ED lowering springs

hi does anybody no if the lowering springs from SG Petch are genuine kia springs because they are cheaper that the getting them form the dealer cheers

To do a test with any sort of reliability i guess you would need to set a benchmark pressure then go through a particular set of corners then adjust the pressures and do the corners again and keep doing this for an afternoon to get an idea of the different feel the pressures would give. Doing it on different days gives too much variability on air temp road temp weather lunar alignment and even the

I operate a ceed 1.6 CRDI Auto and have just looked at the front tyres and I have just under 1mm before reaching the TWI mark and the speedo reading is under 13000 miles there no evedence of misalinement or overunder inflation. The car is driven 90% of the time on open roadsmotorways very rearly over 60mph and 90% on cruise control. Anyone else had this problem.

KIA CEED ED new car for me

hi all first post on here for me thinking of buying a SH 2008 kia ceed diesel with 50k on the clock. What would seasoned drivers recommend that I look out for also has anyone racked up high miles on a kia ceed my current toyota corolla has 250k on it and has been virtually trouble free. Im wondering what a kia ceed will be like if it reaches 250k miles. what are the weak points on them

Im coming up for 40K miles in my Pro and the front suspension is very noisy in bumpy corners again. I had it sorted under warranty at 15K and its been getting worse for a while now so i will get it sorted out at the next service. I guess its a weak spot in the cars design thank god for the 7yr warranty
