JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE 2005 Jeep Liberty Rear Drivers side window stuckfrozen

My wife has a 2005 jeep liberty and we were driving last night and had the window half way down for our dog to stick his head out the window. We rolled down the window about half of the way and everything was fine. When we went to roll up the window a little bit (it was getting a little cold) we rolled it up about 2. About 30 min later we went to roll it all the way up and nothing. The switch in the

Search window regulator Has been recalled dealer is very aware. Small piece of plastic that attaches the window to the regulator is broken.

I do not see anywhere in that post about a recall actually being pushed...is there an active recall or am I going to have to eat the cost of the repair Also how are you sure that is the problem It seems that in all of these cases the window falls into the door we have not had that happen only the window will not roll up or down...

Without being their never 100% sure. I have only been reading 3 KJ forums as my KJ is new to me. I have read on here and KJcountry and lost jeeps more than twenty times of someone with the small piece of plastic attaching the window to the regulator problem. More than twenty times I read they went to the dealer and it was covered under warranty. Some are only partially covered. Many times it failed

I swear even the radio antenna squeaks on the thing.

My drivers side door squeeks real bad on bumps if it makes u feel better

Thanks for the help. Actually its the very back pass-side window not the actual pass window. If it was a little creak I wouldnt mind but this is pretty bad and all of the sudden.

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE driver side window problem

my wife has an 06 liberty 65th ann. addtion. When we roll up the driver side window it falls forward. it sounds like i need a clip but when i brought it to the shop down the street for a favor he just greased the window edges. it still falls what should i check or do. Thanks for any help.

Hi Take it to the dealer but do make sure they fit the latest TSB parts as the fixes so far have been poor on this issue. The latest TSB you change the regulator and the window as they have changed it back to the 05 design where it hold the window in 2 places instead of just the one. The ones I have done are now perfect. Regards Merlin

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Driver Side window popping

My driver side window makes a popping sound when I roll it up. The kicker is it only makes the loud pop if I roll the window ALL the way down first. I can roll it down to just before where it auto stops and it when I roll it up it does not pop. Only pops when I roll it ALL the way down with auto down or manually. My wife also says it only does it when it is colder out. 80 degrees and above she says it does not do it. Thanks for any insight.

No it is more like a mechanically pop. Only once when the window reaches the very top. Sounds like it is coming from the inside aft portion of the door about where the handle is.I did pull the inside panel away once while I was driving and the window did not do it but after a while it came back.

Is your seal flock or slip coat The part that touches the glass - is it furry or slippery rubber If it is slip coat (slippery rubber) use crisco andor a heavy silocone oil and let them soak into the rubber with the window down (overnight) and then wipe them off the excess to keep the glass clean. I am an engineer on a rubber product development project that makes glass slip coats for DC and those are

Check for debris in the track felts. I had the same problem after I had

The seal is defective and will be replaced under warranty. This is a common problem. Apparently the company that supplies the seal to Chrysler did not put enough slip coating on the seal or something similar. Without slip coating the window will end up tilting and going off track. Take it to the dealership and explain to them that it is the seal not the window regulator. I work for the company that

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Jeep Liberty Window Problems Solutions

On my wifes 2006 liberty this happened with both rear windows. I just replaced the passenger side rear window parts with Steiglers parts. Very easy to do excellent directions and color photos of how to do it. Going to do this on all the windows as they go out.

in January of this year. I liked the 05 well enough that I replaced it with an 07 liberty. The rear windows squeaked and groaned from the day I bought this one and the drivers side rear regulator failed a couple weeks ago. I found Steigers site from here and lostkjs and ordered the part. It cost me about 95 with shippingnot cheap but a lot less than the 400-500 for new glass and regulator from jeep

We have two jeep libertys in the family - ours is a 2005 our daughters is a 2004. Both have had the back drivers side rear window regulators break. This means that not only will the window not function for up and down (which we could live with) but that the windows fall down and wont stay up. We had ours fixed in June 09 - Chrysler (obviously knowing there is a problem) covered the part even though

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Window Noise

Hi. I own a 2006 jeep liberty. JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Window comes off track

My Mom has an 04 liberty. Two days ago the passenger side rear window was stuck down in the door. She wanted to take it to a shop but I took off the door panel to take a look. The window was all the way in the door off the lift track but still in the molding around the window opening. On the bottom of the door glass is a metal clip which is on the bottom edge of the glass with some urethane or something

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE 2006 Liberty Driver Window SlowStops

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Liberty 2004 rear window rattle

Hi All I am new to this forum thing so if something goes wrong with this post let me know. I have an 04 liberty that just started a very annoying rattle coming from the rear window. Only happening over bumps. I have tried lube the latch in the lower door. Anyone out there having a problem with rear window rattle

I just got my jeep back from the dealer for the third time for that problem. (Drivers side window ticking) Each time it was in the dealer for something else I would mention it and they would never fix it. They always said they couldnt re-create the problem. Well since the 36000 mile warranty was almost up I sternly suggested they try DRIVING IT and not calling me until it was fixed. (what a concept)

JEEP LIBERTY CHEROKEE Weather Tech Side Air Deflectors

I would like some input on the side air deflectors Weather Tech makes. Do they aside from allowing you to crack the window in the rain lower the noise level when you have the windows fully open I like to have my windows down when I can and find the libertys windows to be a bit noisy to carry on a conversation. If anyone has the Weather Tech deflectors (front and rear) and could answer this it would be greatly appreciated. Also another question I have is how do they attach Thanks Mike
