KIA SORENTO II XM Comparison - Santa Fe vs Sorento

In the market for new vehicle. I have tried the new 2011 Sorento and the new 2010 santa Fe. Was wondering if anyone else went through this and would like to share their opinions. What I found was that the price basically was the same as we were comparing the V6 EX and the SF LTD. Standard equip here would go to Sorento Economy is the same engine choices are the same except that here in Canada the I4

looks less Korean if that makes any sense and more European (not surprisingly as the designer is European for the Sorento). And the clincher for me was interior design. This is where the difference was plain obvious. The santa Fe has a 3 year old interior. The steering wheel is the single item that stands out as showing its age in the santa Fe. The Australian spec differences between the Kia and hyundai

Normally this is true but this time KIA went loco goofy. 072009-082010 is not a MY2010. And 2009-72011 will be a MY2011 MY2009 9 VIN CODE MY2010 A VIN CODE and was offically skipped there is none in the Sorento MY2011 B VIN CODE The Moderators are still working on correcting the goof up in the forum headings. Give them time. I was comparing the newest (and revised) offerings from both Kia and hyundai

KIA Borrego Diesel for US and Canada

Anyone have confirmation or thoughts on a diesel engine in the Borrego for 2010. I hear a CRD 3.0l diesel engine(240hp-390ish ftlb) is in the works in a vehicle that size any estimates on fuel economy 24-28 mpg Kia If you put a diesel in I will buy one.

Well since Borrego and Mohave

BMW X5 E70 2008 X-5 or Diesel X-5

Guys I need your suggestionshelpcomments I need to make up my mind in the next 7-10 days to either lease (0 down 15000 milesyear 36 months) a 2008 X-5 3.0 or wait for the diesel X-5. As with some of us cost of gas per month is kind of an issue. I dont mind driving the X-5 at the current gas rates but I would love to save some money if I can Looking at the current BMW incentives on MY 2008 there is

so it doesnt bother you when hyundai santa fes can beat you I already feel like the 3.0si in my x3 is just adequate. Like I wouldnt even want a pre 07 x3 based on the powerweight ratio. If I was driving a toyota then i would think my x3 was zippy. But I have a different benchmark for a premium performance vehicle. An x5 with either the new or older 3.0 seems like a power to weight ratio that I wouldnt

KIA SPORTAGE II JE Sportage 2006 2.0 Diesel

Hi We live in South Africa and are looking for an SUV style car. Just came across a 2006 Sportage 2.0 diesel with 60000km on the clock and selling for R155000. One lady owner and full service history. The price seems OK - my only concern is that I have never owned a KIA or know anyone who does. I have heard rumors that the South African official KIA mechanics are useless also that the KIA parts are

displacement turbo diesel - which would bring in a ton of new customers. i would stop the xterra. i would turn the titan into a truck geared for real work offering a smaller displacement turbo diesel engine. i would leave the new altima as it is only offering 4cyl - so it doesnt eat into the maxima sales. i would turn the maxima into a flag-ship car offering styling & features seen in the hyundai

KIA SORENTO II XM convert FWD to AWD

I suspect i already know the answer but it it possible to change from AWD to FWD after market If not perhaps something like positraction the torque steer on this car (V6 SX) is so bad it makes me not even want to drive it anymore... nothing but frustration with all that torque tied to one wheel

KIA SORENTO I JC sorento 03 behaves like its out of gas when rpm gets at 2500.

Hi Hope I can explain this in english now. Our sorento -03 (2.4 LX) started to misbehave on the freeway three weeks ago. It felt like we where out of gas and we had to pull of the road. No lights are on. RPM is around 800 at idle so no problems there. The car starts every time without any problems but when you try to drive you get to about 2500 rpm and at that point the car wants to die. No trouble

Yes interesting the Sorento was only sold here with either the 3.5 V6 or later the 3.3 and 3.8 V6 and the 2.5 diesel. The 2.5 diesel is beloved here by the grey nomads to tow their caravans endlessly around Australia. I imagine the 2.4 petrol would be very similar to the 2.4 Mitsubishi i4 given hyundais preference for building Mitsubishi engines. That engine 5 speed manual was also released here as

KIA SORENTO I JC some newbie questions

Hi all Im looking to buy a used Sorento and will have the performance of the car increased. My first thought was to buy a 2.5 crdi add chiptuning and a short ram air intake which would bring the car to about 175 HP. Do you guys have any suggestions experience with this Also what brand of engine does the Sorento use I dont expect Kia to build their own engines ... What would be the max mileage (or km) for a used car if I want to tune it thanks

I can tell you he is away at the moment visiting tuning company (in Germany) with regard to chip tuning but otherwise the diesel product in current use is called Power Box - check out UK Kia Sorento Forum - Home where you will find several satisfied users and his advert (above the site logo) (Nothing in it for me I drive a V6) By the way I believe all Kia engines are manufactured in-house by Kiahyundai
