KIA SPORTAGE II JE Engine replacement

Hi All I was wondering if there is information available about the engines used in the sportage and in the tuscon for the UKsouth african market I had a look at Kia Global Information System (KGIS) and on hyundai Service Website (hyundi) But these seem to be US based sites and only mention the petrol versions. My 2005 sportage has got the 2.0 CRDI (model D4EA) diesel engine. The engine is in a bad

Hi meindert Did you ever get sorted and what engine did you use Im looking for a replacement engine for a 2007 2.0 CRDi UK spec but am really struggling. The Kia Carens hyundai santa Fe and Tuscon all seem to have the same engine code D4EA so Im thinking of trying one of them. I actually only need a cylinder head but a new head is turning out expensive and hard to get. Had one but it was slightly wrong. Seems to have been a revision in 2007 and mine is the newer revision.

06 SWB Carni came out they ALL had the Rover-based KV6 2.5 litre V6 engine. Difference is that with the 04 model they introduced the Gen II version which MOSTLY cured the cylinder linerhead-gasket issues of the past. Some 04s & the rare 05 still spit their dummy. 2 Kia KV6s went through my depot last wek heading for an engine rebuilder. The new SWB Carni has the enginetransmission from the old hyundai
