FORD FOCUS Fog lamps

I know this is an easy question but can someone please look at their fogs and tell me if on the lens of the fog it has the number RO 44633 I would but I dont have stock fogs anymore Thanks

Do you still need this I have my stock fog lamps in a box in my garage I can check for you. (Gotta try to remember hehe)

Thanks Karmajay I got someone else to check it out for me. But if you can take a quick look that would be great. But we have pretty much confirmed that our fogs have that number.

Thanks I just did a test fit of a new fog lamp for our car. Its a plug in play LED projector....

FORD FOCUS Bumper and Fog Light Repair

Ok so during this crazy winter weve been having here in the midwest I hit a snow bank in the road (which probably had ice too). This cracked my bumper and snapped the fog light assembly (its pretty much just rolling around in there now). My insurance deductible is 1k and if I didnt have to just replace the furnace in my house Id have that money to work with and make the claim. ford quoted 1400 for

Will this affect the appearance any For example... the driver side fog lamp is still perfectly in tact.. if I install the base focus housing for just the passenger side will it look any different The clips on the side of the housing broke off so the whole assembly is just sitting free behind the bumper. Can I take the cover off the ST housing and put it on the base housing Looks like I can get this fog lamp for about 32 on ebay as opposed to 65 from ford. Thanks for all the input so far everyone I appreciate it

When you say the cover do you mean the housing that has the mounting tabs Because those tabs were destroyed which is why the entire assembly is just sitting freely behind my bumper and literally rolling around on the skid plate. The light (bulb) itself is very much in-tact and still lights up... its just the housing that is no longer attached. In this case do I need to get the part listed at fordParts.com

fog lamp youre linking to is identical between the cars only the bumper cover and the fog light grilles are different between the base front fascia and the ST fascia. I.e. the glass and plastic fog lamp assembly that clips into the bumper cover is the same regardless of trim level if equipped with fog lamps. The bumper and fog lamp grilles are different however so you cant just put the base focus

FORD F150 High beams AND Fog lamps

I have a 10 Platinum and as with my 05 when I put on the high beams the fog lamps go out. I appreciate why ford has set the lights up to be like that ie. if youre in fog you shouldnt need the high beams so if you need high beams you probably dont need the fog lamps HOWEVER when we are out in the desert and its dark I want all the light I can get any ideas how this is possible Im not looking to add spot lights and a bull bar etc etc - Im just looking to maximize the light I have at the moment.

FORD FOCUS Replacing foglamp assembly

Hi Guys Got my brand new Mk3 250 a couple of weeks today - to my horror today noticed a stone has gone straight through the ns foglight so need to replace Cant see how to remove the foglamp surround - tried levering all sides but doesnt budge and dont want to snap fixings. Displaced arch-liner earlier to see if rear-fixed but cant see any fixings so assume surround removal. Anyone done this simple operation and advise please Steve

Would you mind sharing the link to the lamps you bought I still have to replace mine P.S. I think european parts has LED fogs but im not sure if theyd fit the ST. Im a bit list in the MK2 MK3 nomenclature there LED fog Lights Fiesta MK6 MK7 focus MK2 MK3 European-Parts

FORD FOCUS Turning lamps

I pulled my head lamps today to see if I can upgrade the turn lamps. It appears to be a proprietary bulb W21W. Not one you will find at an Auto Parts store. I was hoping to upgrade them.

How about the fog lamps.... Can those be replaced with yellow equivalents

Originally Posted by davloose How about the fog lamps.... Can those be replaced with yellow equivalents I didnt check but I cant imagine theyd be any different than the ST1 and ST2 which are H11. You could put a yellow halogen bulb in there or you could go with 3000k HIDs (I have some ordered and will post a how-to if no one beats me to it). Alternatively you could just put some yellow film on the fog light lens.

FORD FOCUS Drivingfog lights - can they come on automatically

Just curious I prefer having the drivingfog lights on when the main headlamps are on. Is there a way to set them to come on with the headlamps automatically maybe a magic obscure button pushing combo required like on an old school Nintendo

There is a way to get them to turn on automatically. You must go the dealer to have it done. Here are the steps if you want to tell the tech to do it. 1) hook up computer 2) verify vin 3) exterior Lighting 4) daytime running lights 5)ok to bypass warning lights 6)option daytime running lights 7) option daytime-choose to enable-noneparking lamps(hid)headlamps(halogen)-choose parking lamps that should do it

Hmmmm... I wonder if one of the local ford techs will actually be able to configure this. Ill print this out and ask that they do it when my car comes in. Is the 7th step just one huge option in the menu or did you meant that you have to cycle through 3 options and select parking lamps(hid) from the list Id rather do it myself... it sucks not having all the tools to work on the car

Awesome and just to confirm this isnt for the DRL but for the driving lamps on an ST2. Is that correct Thank you.... Originally Posted by chip There is a way to get them to turn on automatically. FORD FOCUS Brightest Fog Lights

Anyone know of the best and brightest bulbs you can buy for the fogs I purchased some LED bulbs and the quality and color is there but they are not bright what so ever. You cant even tell if they are on or off besides the dash light. Im looking for bulbs that actually make a difference and that should last a while. I dont want to keep changing the bulbs out. And Im not hooking up fake HIDs...Thanks for any info

FORD FOCUS LED Fogs

Hello all When we are at SEMA this year I found a gold gem. A LED projector fog lamp that bolts in. It is a direct replacement for all 2012 focus models. It is also plug and play meaning it will light right up with the stock plugs. It orginally designed as a fog lamp for Land Rover vechicles. Features 12v 16watt LED 6800K Projected beam pattern not a scattered light as stock fog All Aluminum housing

FORD FOCUS Quick question about fog lights..

Im new to the forums and Ive been searching for any threads about removal of the fog lights but I cant seem to find any.. I picked up a TB ST3 early December and a couple weeks ago i noticed my fog lights are shattered.. The gravel they put down on the roads in Edmonton has definitely taken its toll.. I wanted to see how hard it would be to replace the fog lights myself since theyre going to cost me

See the attached PDF for install directions. I plan on adding either LED or HID for the fog lamps. Anyone else try the LED ones yet

FORD FOCUS 05BlackFX4s HID Headlights and Foglights.....in an ST2

One of my biggest issues with the ST was the lack of an option to get the ST2 seats with the factory HIDs that come on the ST3. Having done HID retrofits in the past I figured why not with the ST. Right now they are sitting in the factory headlights with what is actually are really good cutoff for halogen housings. Great job and thanks for adding the list of what you did. I am going to go with the VisionPro 6000K H11 Crystal Whites and skip the fog lamps to save some cash. Thanks for posting the link to those resistors as well.

FORD F150 Fog Light Project

I have a fog light project I thought you guys may want to hear. Im getting a round fog light bumper for my truck and I have been stuck on what fog lights to throw on it. I want fog lights that can have HIDs and Halos on them to match the halo headlights on my truck. Ebay has some projector halo fog lights but look like junk and are plastic... so no HIDs there. FORD USA F150 Need to replace a 2001 fog light...options

2001 F-150 4x4 XLT. A neighbor backed into my truck last night and it only broke the fog light and bent the bracket. I need to replace the whole thing. Should I order an OEM replacement Anyone have a good source Are there good aftermarket sets I could upgrade to Im already running the high beam bulbs rather than the factory H4s or whatever they are with the fog light mod. Thanks.

Easiest cheapest to replace the 1 unit that is bad with a ford unit. I had the PIAA airdam on my 2001 ( did not have the factory fog lamps ) and it was nice having the 520 Ion Crystal as the fog lamps due to the reflector size. Also had the Piaa 510 driving lamps with the narrow focus beam pattern that were on with the high beams. Dont know if you would want to try to find one or use the 120.00 from

FORD F150 Are fog lights useful in fog the way Ford designs them

Its my understanding that fog lights are supposed to cut under fog to increase visibility but when they have to be on with the low-beams because of the way ford designs the headlight switch the low-beam lights reflect off of the fog and make the fog lights useless. Is there a legal reason or some other reason ford designed the headlight switch this way

There are two issues here. First the so called fog lamps are more driving lights than fog because the lamp or lens color in not correct to help with fog. Should be deep yellow in color for that purpose. Secondly it is a federal regulation the extra lamps cannot be on with high beams. All the fordS from at least the mid 80s never left the factory allowing them to work on high beams. Many state codes

On the use of amber lights for fog use. 1. They have to be bright enough to make a difference. Two 55 watt lamps along with the low beams at about 45 watts each should work well. 2. They need to be focused within the low beam forward area. 3. Not used in place of low or high beams. 4. The seperate lights need to be adjusted for sufficent spread left and right so as not to blind an oncoming driver and

FORD F150 Amber fog bulbs

Anyone found any GOOD amber bulbs to go in their OEM fog lamps In my old age I can just see much better with ambers and I dont want to bolt on another set of fogs........

Hoen makes an all weather H109145 bulb for the fog lamps. httpwww.hoen-usa.comweather.htm I tried them as they advertise the the look of the Ion Crystal like the PIAA fog lamps. They do have the Ion Crystal color on the ground but the light is more focused in a tighter pattern then the stock bulb. ( pass side is the H10 all weather bulb drivers side stock 9140 bulb ) Floor is a bit dirty but you can

FORD F150 Need Fog Lights for 03 F150 HD Anniversary

Trying to get a few things corrected and hopefully get the truck up to excellent condition. Im starting with fog lights - my local dealer can get them for 210 each. If I go with other than OEM will it affect resale value later

Get on NHTOC and look the part numbers are on there. Order fog brackets for an 03 stx from ford for 22.72 each and the lights from Roush Performance for 63 each. Just did this a week ago for a friend to replace both broken brackets and lamps. Also by getting the SVT focus lamps from Roush you can put a standard H10 bulb in or upgrade to HID.

FORD F150 LED Fogs

Has anyone tried this or have any advice. Goodbad idea I was thinking of changing my fog bulbs to white LED bulbs. I have seen some Mercedes running around and it puts off a really cool look. I found these bulbs on superbrightleds but it would require me to change my socket out [IMG]javascript void(viewer.show(0))[IMG] Anybody tried this or do I just have a bad idea

same as a 12.6 W bulb. This is where the equivalent to xx watt bulb comes from with LED bulbs ( house hold bulbs etc ) The LED is not a 12W LED ( or the total of the LEDs is does not equal 12 W ) but the measured output of the total LEDs has a lumen output equal to a 12 W standard bulb when measured at a distance of 12. Usually lumen is a term used with flashlights as the output of the light ( focused

FORD FOCUS mSaLLs ST2 HID Retrofit with Lexus RX350 Projectors (How To)

Goals 1) Completely OEM and legal look (yes keep the ambers) 2) Use OEM headlamps for the quality (Ebay lights lose protective coating quicker but are far easier to open) 3) No compromise top notch performance OEM projectors and OEM Bulbs 4) Bixenon projector since the factory high beam is subpar (and having quad high beams rules) The focus MK3 headlights have a very small reflector so fitting a nice

If so its very similar size to RX350 and should be able to fit with some solid cutting. Just bite your tongue hold your breathe and hack away As for the Spyders not much is gonna fit in that tiny spot. Maybe MH1 or E46 with adapter plates. On another note tonight I got to drive in extreme weather (pouring rain and strong wind very soaked roads). Storm hit us hard here in the Bay Area. I must say ford

FORD F150 Invested in Depo Fog lights w HIDs(Pics)

Hey guys after seeing so many of yall getting the Depo fog lights i just had to get a set for myself. And since I have HIDs in my headlights why not get them for the fogs too Before and After lights Halogen Vs. 6000K HIDs Both HIDs anyone notice the white turn signals dual color changing LEDs (6000k white and amber) best bulbs ever Distance pic of 100ft away Sorry for all the pictures i love takin a lot of pictures

Youre out in the middle of nowhere. You obviously want high beams on. This focuses the light 400 feet down the road where the rods in your eyes focus on. If you have foreground illumination (fog lamps) on your rods are going to focus on that light because they are closer and have more visible candela. Therefore rendering your high beams useless. Ever notice why some manufacturers with split-beam headlights

FORD FOCUS Question for the Electrical Geniuses

I am trying to figure out a way to keep my fog lamps on when the high beams come on One idea is to install a relay supplying power to the fog light hot wire and triggered by the high beam. When the high beams come on the power to the fogs is cut Simultaneously the relay kicks power to the hot wire and the fogs stay on. Anyjuan know if this would work

So the fog lamps work with the parking lights now. Normally I drive with the parking lights (eyebrow leds) and the fogs on in the daylight. What I want is for them to stay on with the High beams and retain my original switch. The fogs would come on when the high beams come on even though I have them turned off. So the question is If I tap into the wire that supplies power to the fog lamps when they are shut off by the high beams Will this cause a problem with any black boxes

Under Lighting along with headlight delay and auto dimming there is an onoff for a rain light in the IPC screen. Ive had rain lights on European cars before but I dont see anything on my ST that could be one. The manual doesnt explain anything. Can anyone enlighten me

FORD FOCUS St3 headlight upgrade

Got me something in the mail today Stay tuned for a review and photos. ------------------------------------ The ST3 contain my first ever set of HID projector low beams and they perform wonderfully in the city and on low beam but leave me with exactly the taste in my mouth that I feared on the highway. The first time I flicked on my high beams I had to ask my wife if they came on. She said I think

I also have changed or modified the headlights for my cars. The ST3 is the first car that I am happy with the light output. Still I did pull the H-7 High beam bulbs for 100 Watt 8K bulbs and the same for the fog lamps. They claim 8K but they look closer to 6K. The fog lamps are pretty useless even with the 100w bulbs

FORD F150 Super Duty Fog Light Mod

One of my cheapo Walmart foglightsdriving lights hosed itself last week. The bulb burned out. So I took it apart only to find out that the company (ChinaJapan Junk) soldered the bulb in place. Anyways... time for an upgrade... I like the square fog lights on the Super Duties and I cant seem to find an aftermarket pair. So why not... Ill use a quality set from ford from a SD plus they are quite reasonable

either side of the license plate. I will be watching this one for some good ideas I think I see a How-To coming up out of this one. Well I am going to mount them on the frame rails next to the license plate like how I had them WalMart ones. Im going to fab up the mounting brackets to work for the F150 frame. So it will be in the same location as if it were on a stock SD. I fell in love with how ford

FORD FOCUS Small quirks that annoy you Post em up

Hi everyone. As of a few days ago Ive owned my 2013 focus ST for about a month. During this time Ive learned a lot of new tips and tricks but still have some annoyances. Use this thread to post up what bothers you. Its possible that someone knows something you dont...be sure to share 1. MFT Oh where do I start. Of course theres the issue with playing songs alphabetically but theres also a frustrating

If you have headlights set to auto and turn on the fog lamps once the auto lights turn off (sensor detects day light) you cannot manually turn on the fog lamps. You can manually turn on the head lights just not the fogs. Clearly a software bug. Really annoys me.

FORD FOCUS E-focus RMM

This look like the correct one everyone is using

tough theres just not much room to get any leverage and they were on good. A cheater pipe would have helped Also got my yellow fog lamps in so Im tricked out for now Well relatively speaking.... Car drives MUCH better really makes you wonder what they were thinking with that sad good for nothing RMM they use in the ST. The efocus mount adds no NVH whatsoever and drives the way youd expect from ford.

FORD FOCUS Has anyone received a Your Opinion Matters Survey

I just finished up going to the mailbox damn no Gro Pro yet but I did receive this postcard I went to the website which was supposed to take a few minutes. Well quite a few minutes later Im finished. My answers were all related to my current experience with my ST. Reasonably high marks given but there have been some issues. Examples of issues brake dust 1-2 shift bangthump MFT etc.... similar to what

I wondered the same when I was working on the questions being asked. The survey is not affiliated with any one automaker and whatever data they get theyll sell back to ford. What ford does with it I hope will make changes down the line. Here are some of the issues I brought up from my experiences so far I mentioned the fact of the summer performance tires coming to the dealerships where it was already

FORD FOCUS ST3 headlamp behavior in Canada

Hey all Trying to wrap my head around this whole LED light situation. Heres what I experience (and why I suspect that the lights in Canada operate differently than elsewhere) I want my LEDs running at all times as well as fog lamps. The other day I was behind a truck with a reflective bumper and noticed that my LEDs werent on. I switched from auto to the adjacent setting (full on) and they came on.

FORD F150 The Govt. and the headlightfoglight law...

Many of us here have done the headlightfoglight on together at the same time with high-beams activated modification because government regulation states that the two cannot be on at the same time while the headlights are on high-beam. HERE for anyone whos interested and yet to do it. Well if the purpose of the high-beams is to provide more light or a greaterstronger beam of light than the headlights

hi beams Im not sure what kind of lights I should be looking at. Hellas are hella expensive (ha) and KC is a bit cheaper and a known brand at least. I want something that will let me see my house 20 miles away as soon as I pull out of town Quote I heard somewhere that its bad to drive with your fog lights on in the dark when there is no fog because it lights up the road causing your eyes to focus

FORD FOCUS Something else we dont get in North America...... What is it

This is a picture of the headlight control in a Singapore focus ST. The lower left button does not appear to be the hatch release like North American cars. Is the knob in the center for headlight leveling and is the 0.1.2.3.4 related to it

European specification models get rear fog lamps thats what the other switch is for in place of the hatch release. Yes the center switch is designed for adjusting the level of the headlamps httpwww.fordservicecontent.compu...N13FOCog1e.pdf
