FORD USA F150 04 4wd Coilover Front Suspension installed on 97-03 trucks

Has anyone tried or looked into putting the coilover front suspension from an 04 F-150 4WD onto a 97-03 F-150 4wd Seems like it could be alot of fab-work but wondering if it could be a lesser expensive 4wd coil over solution compared to Dixon brothers or Rock Krawler for 97-03 trucks. After owning a 97 and now a 2003 I want to do something cool with my 03 but stupid lift laws in Maine get in the way.

FORD F150 Front suspension help

Im looking for a cheaper alternative for a 1000 suspension lift kit without using a body lift. I resently purchased 5 rear blocks to replace the 1.5 factory blocks. So i will have 3.5 of lift in the back but the question is how to add at least 4 in the front looked into cranking the torsion bars but that can only get me around 2 max. Any ideas

FORD F150 Air Suspension Question Front Squat Function

I got a 03 Lincoln Navigator (had for 2 months) with the air suspension and read that the front lowers after shut down so I made it a point to stay in the vehicle and watch it after I shut down the engine. I would notice that the front would initially rise a little then lower then rise a little more then lower again. I have watched it do this several times. The other day I went to the truck after it

FORD USA F150 97 ford f150 front suspension

As stated I have a 97 ford f150 4X4. I use the truck for light snow plowing in the winter here in Michigan. I am wondering if there is an after market Torsion Bar to replace the stock ford units. I know ford also made a f250 with a torsion bar front suspension but after a little checking I found it was the same light duty unit as the 150. I need a little more support for the plow. I did some checking

I know that in the Explorers with the IFS there is different load rated torsion bars. Like A B and something like C being the heaviest rated. I would go down to the ford dealer and find out if the F150s are the same (I assume they are as far as they have different bars cause a 150 standard cab weighs less than say a supercrew). They see if they can help you determine which one you have. they may even

FORD F150 Suspension Max lift kit

I am planning on doing a suspension lift on my 2wd 2002 f150 pretty soon. I was looking through ebay and came across this httpcgi.ebay.comebaymotors_Car-...4506.m20.l1116 Im wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about this lift or the company. Also if anyone is running this lift or any other lift from this company I would appreciate feedback. Thank you.

I had their 3 front 2 rear lift on my old truck. Worked fine. It was a spindle lift so the front track was a little wider than stock but thats unavoidable. Quality seemed to be up to par.

Rode just like factory just a little higher With that kit youre actually using factory suspension. (Stock coils in front stock leafs in rear)

I would say the 3 body because if you get the fabtech its only a 2 in the front and it says that you will be able to fit 285. So probably the body or spindle lift would beyour best bet. ------------------ ------------------------- 1999 super cab white with tan bottom automatic 4.6L v8 BFG AT TA KO 26575 WAAG grillguard 2 KC daylighters vampire remote start combo alarm steelhorse nerf bars Husky chrome

NISSAN MAXIMA I Can I install the factory sport suspension on a 2004 I35

I bought one of the last 2004 I-35s last November. I had been driving a 1996 maxima SE with all the options for six years and I love that car. I took a brief test drive in the rain with the salesman before I bought my new car and I assumed it would handle similar to my 1996 maxima but it would have more power (I knew it didnt have the SE equivalent sport suspension which was not offered on the I-35

but the seat is less comfortable for me than the maximas power leather seat). Also my 2003 Mazda MPV mini-van has better drivers seat adjustments and much better suspensionrebound control and maybe even better cornering power (it feels more under control in some of the driving conditions where the I35 is squirrely) and it has a 5 speed automatic which helps make better use of the 200 hp 24 valve fordMazda

FORD F150 Updated Suspension Purchase

OK I finally decided to change my order. I am now getting the Pro Comp Stage 2 with the coilovers I decided the extra 400.00 was worth the upgrade from the Superlift I originally had ordered. I just got lucky that my order hadnt shipped yet so I was able to call and change it before they shipped. This will give me a true 6 of lift with 2 additional lift if I crank the coilovers correct Thanks to all

OK so I got all the parts in and delivered the truck to Kansas Joe for install. I delivered everything as it arrived so I didnt look at the suspension kit at all. Kansas Joe starts the install and gets down to the Coilovers...well he opens them up and there is one blue coilover and one black one. He asks if I want him to install them...I tell him yes go ahead and I will deal with 4wheelparts.com to correct this issue. So I call 4wp and talk to them about this issue and tell them I want them to send me a new coilover to match one of the two I have already...at first they give me a hassle and tell me that they were going to have to charge me 540.00 to ship the replacement. I tell them hell no I am not paying for the replacement to be shipped to me or to ship the old one back to them. They agreed and my new coilover is on its way. I am not sure which color I will get but I am hoping for blue since my truck is blue. By the way ProComp is starting to make their coilovers in black instead of blue so that is why I got one of each color accidentally. Next issue is even worse...I get to Kansas Joes to pick up the truck today and man does it look sweet. However he was still installing the lengthened and balanced front drive shaft so we had to wait to install the wheelstires. Once complete the wheels and tires start to go on...and here we go...the damn rims lock up against my calipers when tightened. So now I need a spacer of some sort to allow me to mount these rims. I was thinking of just a nice thin 12 billet spacer or something along those lines any suggestions I am going to call 4wp in the morning and bitch them out about not telling me these rims would not fit my truck. Hopefully they will send me some spacers to alleviate these issues. Sending them back is not what I want to do since I love the look of these wheels mounted on my truck. So I had to throw the stock wheelstires back on the truck and drive home that way. She rode nice and straight and not to mention smooth with those coilovers. Kansas Joe gave me 3 additional inches of AAL in the back and the front coilovers are cranked within one inch of the max...nice and tall and begging for the 35 tires to be installed. OK that is enough drama for tonight. One last shoutout...Kansas Joe is a quality guy and did an outstanding job for me on the install...and the price was not bad considering he installed the entire lift sent out the front driveshaft to be lengthened and rebalanced added 3 of AAL to the rear and had the front end aligned at the local ford Dealer. FORD F150 Front End Leveling

I am wondering if anyone can give me some insight on leveling my front end on my 2001 F150 4x4. Are there kits (Ive seen some of these for the new 04s) Ive heard many say theyve just adjusted the torsion bars to make the front and rear sit at the same height but that sounds like it could sacrifice ride quality and eventually reliability. Any thoughts would be helpful... I had considered lifting my

seen arent the same since the suspension is very different. In 04 they went to coil overs and dumped the torsion bars (thank god its about time). The only options you have is cranking your torsion bars up. This will give a stiffer ride than factory. It will also limit your droop since youre just lowering the suspension in its range of motion. Thats not going to be a very big issue since the ford

FORD F150 Complicated Suspension Q

Its going to be pretty hard for someone to tell you for sure if that will work or not...even if they have the same truck as you with the same set-up. If it works it will be very close with the 46 drop. I can tell you that the wheel dimensions (offset & width) definitely play a big role and need to be spot-on when going to those extremes. FORD F150 full throttle suspension

my local offroad shop recommended full throttle suspension to me if i wanted more then 6 of lift. they have a good reputation. after doing some looking around some people have suggested that fullthrottle and whiplash are the same company. whiplash on the other hand doesnt have such a good reputation. i looked at their kits and they look identical and they are both located in fresno ca. anyone know if they are the same company or know anything about the company whiplash

Whiplash and Fullthrottle are NOT the same company. get full throttle. Whiplash has had so many lawsuits I cant count. From stuff breaking to falling off. The only way to go for a 10inch suspension is full throttle. Not only does their stuff rock... their customer service is second to none. Ps mixed reviews on full throttle u must be smoking. No other company comes close in terms of quality and design.

My issue started about a week ago when my truck developed a horrible creaking noise in the front end. It sounded like a metal on metal rub and from searching on here I narrowed in on the balljoint. FORD F150 another suspension question

okay so im sire this has been asked 1000 times but i want to lift my truck some and i need some help.... There is a dealer near me that has a new fx4 on display and i love the look. I want it. lol. I went up and looked at the sticker it says a 3 lift on it do they mean leveling kit if so do i do 3 in the front then what in the back I want the truck to be level from front to back with no rake. Also

Its a 3 leveling kit. No one makes a 3 suspension lift for these trucks. 3 leveling kits are junk and tear your front end apart. Stick with a 2.5 max. After installing that if your front is a little nose high swap your rear block to a slightly bigger one. As for power adders throttle body spacers on a fuel injected motor do nothing but make a cool whistling sound. A custom exhaust is a nice way to

Some of these comments are pretty funny. So many misconceptions about body lifts. Body Lifts are affordable perfectly safe if installed correctly and allow you to run as much as 35 tires. Yes you can still tow with them. No you cant tow using your rear bumper you would need to use your hitch which is what it recommended in the frist place for towing. Yes they leave a gap between the frame and the body

Can anyone tell me if this can be done with no harm to the suspention and with out any modifications I would like to know before i order. Thanks for you help.

No you cant. Your Skyjacker is basically a leveling kit up front. You are already stretching your angles 3 which is about maxed out. You cant put another leveling kit on. Even if you could somehow manage to get it in there it for one would not align.. Two your ball joints would last about 10 miles. If you want to go bigger get a body lift or go to a suspension lift with a drop bracket. You are good to go on the lift shackles though.

Whats up have a few suspension questions for yall. OK first of i have a 2.5 leveling kit on my 05 xlt 4x4. I was interested in another 3-4 of lift ontop of the leveling kit. (WITHOUT THE BODY LIFT OPTION). How can i lift the front another 3-4 ontop of the 2.5 leveling kit and can i do blocks in the back Like a three inch block on the back I am not into offroading to much just want the lift for looks.

I would look at getting a full suspension lift. A 2.5 spacer is the max you would want on the front. You may even have issues with your ball-joints later with the spacer.

FORD F150 Air suspension CK SUSP indicator

Recently my 2000 Expedition with 4 wheel LLS has been displaying the CK SUSP indicator after about an hour on the highway. When this indicator is displayed the rear looks like like the air springs have been jacked up to their maximum height (the front looks normal). The suspension eventually returns to its normal height when I turn the engine off and the warning light never come on during short trips.
