FIAT STILO Steering wheel - buttons

Hello I kinda have trouble finding fiat stilo steering wheel with buttons to replace my steering wheel without them. So im wondering is it possible to install steering wheel from other fiat models From Alfa romeo And if its possible i could use a clock spring with new connectors from stilo or would it fit from othet fiat models (etc Bravo steering wheel fits stilo so clock spring also from Bravo)

To be honest ive found few steering wheels on ebay with navi buttons (3 extra buttons) From abarth. I kinda wanted to found steering wheel with only cd player buttons. Thank you for your replay ill just look for original stilo steering wheel then Also would like to know if steering wheel buttons work with aftermarket dc players Not planning to swap original stilo cd player but it would be nice to know.

More work than its worth IMO.

FIAT STILO Stilo 1.6 MW awful squeak from steering wheel

Hi guys I have this problem since I bought the car 3 years ago and it seems to get worse when it gets colder. I dont know how to describe this sound sometimse when it resonates with the vibrations of the engine&8230 its just... terrible I cant stand it. It resembles the sound of a tiny little metal part which vibrates freely in a plastic box. And up until now I thought that&8217s what it was. But i

FIAT STILO problems with steering wheel control

Hi I have a radio din 2 chinese and comes with a wires steering wheel control. But do not get it to work. Have 3 wires key-1 key-2 and gnd. I connect the two wires (key) with can-A and Can-B but the radio does not detect the pulse voltage of the flywheel key. Detects many voltages but no the steering wheel controls. By where go the order of steering wheel controls Is it through the wires CAN A and

FIAT STILO Steering Wheel Controls.

Hi there I have just bought myself a new stilo as I loved the old one so much This new one has got the audio controls on the steering wheel which will obviously not work on an aftermarket stereo without an adaptor. I got myself an adaptor from DynamicSOUNDS with a patch cable for my stereo (which is a Pioneer DEH 1300MP i have checked to make sure it is compatible with steering wheel controls). The

the switch live to the permanent feed to trick the stereo just had to turn on and off manually. This adaptor is slightly different as it has a control box coming off the main loom so Im not entirely sure about doing the same thing. Switch live is in the same place but where Id expect the permanent to be it ran off to the control box. A bit confusing Attached Thumbnails   __________________ fiat

Tread very carefully - dont modify any wiring without being absolutely certain of what you are doing - its linked to the CAN bus My experience with my Chinese stereo was that the wiring loom feeds the CAN bus into a decoder box. That decoder box then generates the power (permanent and switched live) to turn the stereo on. I found this didnt work until I started the engine. So the ignition was on but there was no power released until the engine was started. Then the engine could be switched off stereo went off and when the key was turned back on (but engine NOT started) then there was power to the stereo. The reason for the link to the CAN bus is several - the decoder may provide a signal to dim the illumination when sidelights are on it may provide a reversing signal (mine tried to but got it hopelessly wrong) and it may provide signals from the steering wheel controls (mine was supposed to but cant - yours should of course.) So try starting your engine and also try doing a proxy alignment with fiatECUSCAN or MultiECUScan to enable the new node on the CAN bus. -Alex

FIAT STILO Changing the steering wheel with one from the new Bravo

Hello everyone This is my first post here and Im hoping to get an advice from anyone who tried to change the steering wheel of a fiat stilo with a Bravo one. Is it technicaly posible Is it any chance to keep the old airbag and fit it in the bravo wheel I dont need the audio commands on it.

Hi and welcome to the forum I dont believe someone has ever done that. We recently got a fiat bravo into the family and the only thing I can tell you is that the bravo is actually a stilo. If you look from underneath you cannot tell which is which. The have the same switches and knobs and sticks and share a lot of components so perhaps the steering wheels have the same mountings. FIAT BRAVA 182 Stilo Steering Wheel...

The fiat stilo steering wheel looks well hot and has radio controls. but can u fit it onto a bravo id imagine theyd take the same spline... what you lot think

ive had a look into the steering wheel compatability and i can safely say it will not work. heres the big clue if you check the steering wheel boss kits that allow you to fit aftermarket wheels you will see that mk22.5 puntos and stilos share the same kit that means their steering wheels will be interchangable. the mk1 punto bravo brava marea all share the same boss kit so thier wheels are interchangable.

You also need to connect three extra wires can low can high and (regulated) power supply to the can node. easiest way is to find a piece of wiring loom from an Abarth and connect these wires from the replaced connector on the bottom of the clockspring. To prevent the KM display from blinking its best to put a little 4 sec. delay circuit in between the power line otherwise the can node will be noticed as a unknown node on the CAN network hence the blinking. See this link as a guide (its in German but it gives a good idea how it can be done) httpfk2000.stilo.infomufu.htm good luck HZN thanked for this post

FIAT STILO hid and steering wheel

i have done my research and know which hids to get but my question is how easy are they to fit do you kneed to mod and of the light to fit also where can i get one of these steering wheels from cheers chris

Youll need HID xenon headlights light washers and the auto leveling system from fiat unless your referring to a conversion kit which will contain none of these and will be illegal due to throwing light all over the place as they dont contain projector lenses. No idea about the steering wheel Ive never seen it
