Answers and questions: fiat seicento ignition module
i have just finished rebuilding my seicento
after a blown head gasket. everything has gone smoothly so far untill you guessed it. when i went to start it. the timing is ok ive double checked and it turns over fine. but i have zero fuel being injected i can see when i look at the single point injector. there is also no ignition
either. as in no spark on any leadign module
. i didnt even disconnect that
Hi all. A friend has had his seicento
Sporting stolen and recovered. In short the car was left at a train station and instead of his wife putting the keys in her handbag she dropped them on the floor and some oik has picked them up. He has a spare key but wants the locks and ignition
barrel changed for peace of mind as the key that was dropped hasnt been recovered. He has bought a second hand full
hello I just bought a secondhand EMS4860 standalone ecu from the ebay and Im starting to setup the ecu . Aim highboost with full sequential ignition
and injection But ive run into some info I need but cannot find anywhere Can someone help me I really like to know 1)Trigger edge falling or rising (crank sensor) 2)Sync edge falling or rising (cam sensor) 3)does anyone know the static timing tooth From
Can someone tell me how much work Itd take to whack a 1.4 GT lump in to ma Cinq places to get it done advice engine mounts etc etc. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I think santas bringing me a GT lump for xmas (34000 Miles - Rear shunt - engine mint) if he scratches the bugga coming down the chimney Im gonna mess him up good. ok im now looking for turbo engine management options and came across a little gem that i am interested in but not sure if its upto the job so did a little research on it and found the specs on it and it says that its not suitable for multi coil ignition
systems. i dont need it to do the ignition
system i only need it to do fuel right or am i getting a little confused here link to item in question httpwww.dicktator.co.zawastedsparkecu.html
I think it means cop or fully sequential ignition that it wont do. The specs are fine (looks like a rip off of megasquirt to me) but unless you want to fit a dizzy or a ford edis module then you need httpwww.dicktator.co.zamultitoothecu.html ... that one will work with the fiats timing wheel and (maybe) sensor. Unless its very cheap i would go megasquirt I wouldnt keep the standard ecu . ditch the lot.
right. i bought a rev counter to hook up to my 02 seicento
sx a couple fo months ago. its the one from the sporting. and i was jsut wodnering has anybody had any success with fitting one to an imobilised car yet as i posted a few threads when i bought it. but to no avail . i have spare time now so i would liek to fit it. can anybody help
Do you have the Sei fiat workshop manual It contains schematics albeit a bin erroneous but should give you all the information you need. There are only 4 (i think) wires to the module one is -Ve (easy to find) one is a switched Ve on the ignition one is for the back light and one is the signal. (all from memory) I presume the signal is from the ecu and you can simply fit it into the loomecu connector. Kristian

Hi guys Im building a high boost SPI turbo with a second piggy back controlled injector and have a question about fuel regulation. Most of the set ups Ive read about seem to use a aftermarket regulator for the second injector and retain the original regulator for the primary injector in the throttle body. Surely if you use the standard regulator on the primary injector as the boost increases the fueling

We have a 1997 cinq sporting last week it just stopped. Towed it home. Had someone look at it found that there was no spark. He suggested changing the coil packs and the crank angle sensor. We have done both and still no spark Any ideas
Did you check that before the mechanic started messing with the car I wouldnt be suprised that the immobiliser has kicked in now Id get all the old kit fitted back. Did this mechanic remove the code bulb Originally Posted by KarenLeo now the drivers electric window will only open with the ignition off and the passenger with ignition on. This shouldnt happen. Yep this time its me. The engine is a 1.2 MPI turbo with lowered compression ratio by a sandwich plate no cat. Engine runs fine everything seems to be in order AFRs on my display all that. But it failed miserably on the CO test today. At idle it has more than 1.0 out of allowed 0.50 at high idle 0.80 out of allowed 0.30. They were kind enough to let me play with the ignition
timing on my ECU and see

Hi everyone I am in the process of planning a 1.4 16v engine conversion for my seicento
schumacher. I wont be doing it until I can get some suitable insurance (have been driving a company car so no claims bonus yet) Anyway I am planning to find a suitable donor stilo to use. This seems the simplest way forward. Anyway the fitting of the engine seems simple enough its quite well covered. However i was
Ah Have been researching microsquirt and there is an issue with it. I knew there was a reason why i didnt plan on using it in the past. It has no ignition drivers so would need to wire up an edis wasted spark module or something similar. Its a shame as it looks really neat. But the det 3 looks like a front runner now.
Some of us are building installing or thinking about Megasquirt . This thread then is intended for Cento and Sei (or at least FIRE) specific discussionsharing etc.
This diagram is showing wiring connections on a V3 board including MS-2 connections for IAC motor (4 wires blue & green on top left) and ignition module (pink wire at 36 pin). If MS-1 is used these pins stay disconnected. Use pin 30 to control a simple two-pin idle valve.

I got a new horn but Im not certain about fitting it... Theres a control box with four wires (2 pairs) one red and black one white and black. And the speaker thingy with one white and one black wire. Incase that doesnt make sense ill add a picture... Im guessing the black and white wires on the boxspeaker join up And then the red and black wires from the box connect to the battery. Was thinking of
ok what are you wanting to do Do you want it wired in to the horn are you just after getting power to it Is it going to stay in the car If not use something like this httpwww.maplin.co.ukmodule.aspx...1054&doy6m10 and then you can unplug it. If you want it properly wired in unclip the wiring from the back of the cig socket. I cant remeber how the clip works prolly just squeeze it and pull. The red
im about to turbo charge a 1242 16V engine. fairly low blow. im using a garrett t15 with a 1.2 or 1.3mm decompression plate. i want to have around 7-8 psi max. so not high boost. i will also be fitting an intercooler and oil cooler. my question is .... how do i increase fueling when the turbo is on boost do i have to run the car on a completly new ECU . (megasquirtemerald etc...) or can i just have

Im connecting the module
on the side of the eps. Its been a while since i took it off and i forgotten which way round it goes. Im sure the cable points up towards the ignition
barrelbut just want to make sure.
when i put my windscreen wipers on there is a 2 to 3 seconds delay after every wipe is this normal on a cinq ta Ricky
In the vaux community people were swapping the wiper relays with programmable VW ones. Dont think it would be difficult to do the same to the Cinq It worked by turning on the wiper then turn it off for however long you wanted the delay for then turn the wiper on and leave it on. It then worked at that interval. Quote It is sometimes called the Easytronic wiper module and it allows you to vary the delay
