FIAT DOBLO Removing back seats

Want to completely remove the back seats on my 03 SX doblo. Looks simple enough with the two allan-key bolts - anyone done it and had any problems Bit worried I might not be able to get them back in or something awful like that Cheers Giles

Iv removed the seats on mine since i got it 3years ago to get mountian bikes in great idea also saves a huge amount of weight better mpg but i had to inform my insurance company to be sure im still covered

FIAT DOBLO Mk 2 Rear Passenger Seats

Ive got a Qubo and if I ever move up to a doblo 5 seater I need to ask about what happens when the rear seats are removed. On the Qubo there are three large attachment points for the rear seats. These stick up from the cargo floor just behind the rear footwells. That means the floor isnt flat (I cant take a nap back there with the rear seats out) and they make loading long objects difficult in some

FIAT DOBLO Doblo seven seater removing the rear seats

We havea doblo seven seater but rarely (if ever) now require the back set of seats (long story concerning ex-wife). We do however have a wood burning stove and there are lots of fallen trees just waiting for my chainsaw but there is naff all roon to put half a tree in the car. Can the rear set of seats be removed and the space then used to transport loads (such as half a tree) Ta Paul

FIAT DOBLO Rear seats

May sound strange but....we are thinking about buying another doblo in the coming spring and we were wanting the take out the rear seats and turn it into a sort of make shift camper. But the nice man at fiat said NO. ..it would make the car weaker and should not do it. Any thoughts on this I know you can buy doblo campervans ready made...at a price . This way seemed a lot easier. Then theres the legal side of things.... If we removed back seats then put a bedsettee type thing in at rear free standing...would that be ok I wonder. It would not be fixed down or have seat belts. I am not interested in cupboardssinkscookers...just somewhere comfy to stretch out. Tiggs

There might be something untoward going on to fit extra bits in.. the translated German from the doblo specific second page of the Dielectric box site says this The deck area has in the middle of a small gathering ironing on the back side of the rear seat rises to about 5cm width and height 4cm out or must be removed. The rear seat can remain in the car. Quite what is means is beyond me but the must be removed is possibly the issue.

Salesmen..............mmmhhhh. I think its an accountability thing. They dont want to be sued for telling you that you could modify the vehicle. I agree about removing the seats not being a problem. In my Cargo I have done the opposite. When I bought it I removed the cab partition and added a bench seat from a Landy Defender that a mate wanted to get rid of. Its a bit agricultural. I would like to

FIAT DOBLO Awning

Has anyone ever hadseen an awningtent type thingy that you attach to your tailgate Im sure I saw something a while back but as we had a campervan at the time didnt take much notice. Lyn

it makes a total waterproof double bed the tent itself is a large living area. Do I also need to say that it makes a fantastic mobile garage to work in with the car driven right in front first Friend borrowed it during our lovely wet summer to do some serious engine work on his car which took a few days in his driveway. FIAT DOBLO Rear doors..help

Hi Guys Im a newbie with a problem I posted earlier today an issue I am having with my double doors on my 2007 doblo (this is in the technical section) Im thinking I should have put the post for help in the doblo section If you can help I would be very grateful. My car has the double doors (wheel chair access)when I try to use the door handle on the door nothing happens it opens OK from the inside

Hi Niall - the symptons on Mrs G doblo sound very similar to my now poorly Kia Sedona. It used to use approx. 2 litres of coolant per 500 miles and got progressively worse. When it was topped up clouds of white smoke bellowed out of the exhaust. As the coolant level went down the white smoke deminished but the heater in the car was none existent. Guess it was running on hot air rather than hot water.

FIAT DOBLO amazing doblo camper sleeps 3 adults

i thought i had gone OTT putting a bath in my doblo..but this is really pretty cool. YouTube- LE doblo CAMPING CAR (LOUL) YouTube- LE doblo CAMPING CAR (LOUL)

to reduce consumption. I know the tent thingy is designed for two - but what is the carrying capacity of the roof as long as you design it lightweight. Out of plywood its ok. the sink i have weighs nothing. There wasnt a great deal of difference with the rear seats removed and the camping equipment installed. Its when you add the water tins of food etc it starts to feel laden. So a fully kitted doblo

FIAT DOBLO Doblo Family Seat Folding Problem

Before doing a run to the local recycling centre I removed the rear row of seats and folded the middle row to give me the maximum cargo space. As soon as I switched on the engine an alarm tone sounded from the rear of the vehicle. as soon as I restored the centre seat to its upright position the alarm stopped. Ive fiddled around to ensure that the seat was fully folded and searched for some sort of locking sensor but I cant find one. My dealership hasnt got a clue. Any ideas

FIAT DOBLO Doblo rear seat width

Hi all Am seriously considering a doblo but soon we will be needing to fit 3 group 1 (forward facing) car seats in the back. Can someone measure the width of the rear seat for me I know I could get the family and have 5 seats in the back but we need the boot space too...tricky Thanks Peter

Thanks malibu. Its not so much the plugging in that might be the problem its just the physical fitting in of three seats. Our seats will all be like the one you have on the passenger side so they will stay plugged in permanently. Its just whether three of them will fit across. The other thing is Im thinking of getting the family version as the two extra seats in the back might be handy sometimes though

Hi the headrests are removable but not easily also need to be sure once refitted are secured back into lock clips. Ive only removed them when replacing frame springs in rear of seat squab but you may be able to reach without fully stripping. The seat cover on the rear part of the seat is held together at the bottom of this piece by a plastic edging being clipped in and onto frame there are also some

FIAT MULTIPLA why buy a multipla

hello thinking about buying a multipla anybody out there with advice what to look for. any does or donts are parts expensivewhat mpg are they worth buying.

previous cars and Ive had plenty of prestige cars its very versitile and if you think the boot area is too small seats can be removed if you remove 1 seat it makes a good difference to what you can fit in the boot I drove to italy in september in mine and brought back 4 motorcycles (one on the rack) I took out the 3 rear seats and the front middle seat. I reckon I averaged 47mpg on that trip. doblos
