FIAT DOBLO Airbag ECU replacement

Hi After trying to reset my ecu through fiatecuscan with the following faults- 01 - Control unit fault 02 - ecu Supply Voltage I believe it means a change of the airbag ecu but I am unsure which number is used to determine I get the right one. On the airbag it has 550 90 34 00 and the number on the barcode is 51705343. I have seen a few on ebay but was unsure which one is correct. Thank-you for your time

Hi Thankyou for your reply. fiatecu is recognising the ecu but is coming up with 2 faults Control unit fault and Low voltage. I have tried to clear the faults but they keep coming back. Thanks

Hello everyone just joined today i found it on a google search. Were a garage service centre and MOt station in the northwest england. Ive had a customer come in today with a 02 doblo JTD it just died on the motorway. got it here and i plugged it in and got these codes p1671 p0235 p1612 The fuel pump seems to be working checked the codes in the autodata but not really sure where to from here. Anyone else had this problem Any ideas thanks Nice to join.

This function is performed by a preheater (resistor element) at the fuel filter. It is switched by a thermoswitch in the pre-heater. Hi I have 06 doblo 1.3 multijet Diesel which will not start... I have tested the injectors checked timing and so on.. I have now narrowed the problem down too no power from the ecu unit going too the pressure regulator (which I have changed). I have checked the wires from the ecu unit and they are all ok.. If I put a wire direct from the pressure regulator to the battery the van will start stay running

HiIm about to swap the dud engine in my 2001 1.9d doblo for a complete low mileage unit out of a damaged one but Im not sure whether I need to use the original injector pump or not keep the ecu immobiliser setup the same. Any advice would be appreciated.

Aye you will need to use the old immobiliser ecu etc setup on your new engine otherwise the codes wont match up and the motor will immobilised and be like nah pal...nahh. im not starting. u having a laff

Hello doblo people Finally found some doblo forum I have a 1.9 JTD SX Cargo for a year now and still lovin it I have a question (like a dozen ) Can anyone tell me if you can reset you car by unplugging the battery Someone told me but does it help solving any problems or errors Sometimes my central locking is iffy and the car locks when driving it (at first brake). Problem is that its not al the time.

Ahh yes I see we call them Hazard Warning Lights for the appropriate reasons. Perhaps you have a loose connection on the big red switch on the dash Does it ever happen when your driving I wouldnt recommend disconnecting the battery for that long as the car uses an ecu to control fuel injection and they can malfunction if left unconnected to power for longer periods of time. This is more appropriate to sensitive units fitted to newer BMWs and Mercedes but Im not 100% sure of the effect on your doblo.

Anyone any ideas or similar problems 2) Update on reprogramme of ecu .........approx 130bhp and 35000mls from being done and no problems. Just passed 1st MOT and emissions ok. Wont be a problem with the ecu (Engine Control unit) but could be a problem with the Body Computer. All depends on how they are implemented and if a separate control unit is required.

You need to take to a dealer to get the wiring checked it may be a pump unit or body computer or guage. Examiner is the only fault code reader to be able to communicate with cluster body computer and engine ecu to confirm where fault may lie.

hi im running a fiat doblo 19 multijet on a 07 plate got a recurring problem with the engine failure light coming on. Diagnostic code shows 2002 diesal particulate filter efficiency below threshold. please help just bought a doblo got it cheap and now i know why when i got it home i noticed the maf was disconnected so i re connected it which made the van slower and more smokey it is a 1.9jtd would not go over 50 uphill on the way home felt as if the turbo was dead but i dont think this would cause black smoke you can drive the van slowly but it will not go over 3500 rpm and just smokes if you

Black smoke from exhaust could be a problem with the fuel injection system. See that all connections to the Magneti Marelli electrical control unit ecu which manages the fuel injectionignition are all in place.

I know Ive gone on before about how terrible the mpg is on the 120-7 seater but I just did an 80 mile round trip with the rear seats out. I normally average 37 mpg this time I averaged 46mpg and that was all on twisty country roads including the famous zig zag hill in Dorset. Those seats are very heavy but I didnt think it would make so much difference . I didnt try to drive too carefully either just

Just bought a 52 plate 1.9 diesel Punto van. Well happy.Got a problem though. The previous owner explained that when she is cold and sometimes when warm she wont tick over and sometimes judders when driving. But maybe a full in-depth remap could be used to raise the boost limit before the ecu starts flashing up warnings (I dont know how much control the mapper has once inside). Obviously youd still need to find a way to increase the boost bleed screw or otherwise if the raised limit is possible. Had a quick look at pics in the fiat manuals and both 1.3 and 1.9 Mk2 Punto intercoolers look almost identical
