FIAT BRAVA 182 Bravo leaking sunroof

Hi everyone Our fiat bravo has a slight little problem with heavy rain. As soon as that happens we get water coming in through the sunroof somehow. We have checked everything we can check but nothing solves the problem. The gutters run free we have checked everything over time and time again and everyone that has had a look is baffled. We can see how the water comes into the car but cant figure out

FIAT BRAVA 182 fitting fiat bravo sunroof

hello everyone i just bought a fiat bravo sxi got it quite cheap knowing that the sunroof was broken. it moves slightly with the key but the motor does not work and it is very noisy when driving. i have bought a new sunroof with motor from a scrap yardit is complete with everything needed. howeveri have had no luck getting a price from a garage to fit itin fact some have plain refused to do the job.

Well why not take the roof lining off and see what needs done There was a guide about fixing a leaking sunroof (as thats quite common) but cant seem to find it at the moment.

dont worry its not a very difficult job just a bit of a hassle. you need to more the roof lining which means you need to remove the interior light and the sun visors and the sunroof interior seal that holds the roof lining on and the a piller covers the the seals around the doorways and the grab handles etc etc. when you get it down you will see the sunroof is bolted on. if i remember correctly it was torx head bolts on the sunroof chassis and normal bolts on the motor.

FIAT BRAVA 182 Bravo - Leaking Sunroof

Hi All I came across this site via google and im hoping i can be helped with my problem at the moment. I have a 2001 fiat bravo with sunroof car was fine for a while until i noticed my drivers seat was getting wet from time to time water building up and dripping down the drivers visor i have since had the aerial and the sunroof sealed but to no avail as its still leaking. I have seen in previous posts

How do i go about sealing the sunroof from inside the car if you dont mind telling me

you need to remove the sun visors the grab handles the sunroof switch and interior light assembley the door sealing rubber strips the A B and C pillar covers and the sealing strip around the sunroof. then you can pull the roof lining down (only held on with velco). where the metal of the roof panel meets the sunroof you need to apply silicone do it all around on all 4 sides of the sunroof and apply plenty. let it dry for a couple of hours with the windows open in the car then put it all back together again. Adrian bravo thanked for this post

I found something interesting on my second bravo. A wiring harness clip was pushing the corner of the sunroof gutter down by quite a distance. Turing the clip didnt help I had to pull it out. Also front drain tube was blocked. In the end I decided to silicone seal the sunroof. I never use it and I do not want any moisture whatsoever sitting in the gutter. I put masking tape on the paint round the car

It looks really tidy because I used masking tape you would

FIAT BRAVO Any pictures of Bravo Sunroof

Has anyone got a decent photo of a new bravo with the sunroof It looks like it covers quite a lot of the roof on the really small pictures Ive seen but its hard to tell and theres nothing decent on fiats website that Ive found.

Interior shot in the show off your bravos thread

Actually loads of shots of his car here. httpwww.fiatforum.commembers-mot...-multijet.html

Thanks for the quick replies chaps. That looks really good both inside and out. I test drove one without a sunroof and found it a bit darker than Id like. To meet the pedestrian crash tests all the manufacturers are moving the bonnet higher up but that does reduce the amount of windscreen and light that gets in there. A nice big sunroof will cure that problem.

FIAT BRAVO sunroof problem

so this is my first post here plz dont judge my English last couple weeks my sunroof has a hard time closing. when i open it it works perfectly. but when i try to close it it works really slow and eventually the safe mechanism kicks in and opens again. i have to pull it with my hand while closing and even then it doesnt shut completely and the rear stays a bit higher than it should. unfortunately my

were stuck. my guess is that the brackets broke and couldnt move freely causing the wires to bend from the tension and the tubes to break making a mess...at least they did an excellent job and everything works perfect without any squeeks and broken clips considering they had to remove all the inside roof sealing and plastic pillar covers. they also told me that they did this job to almost every bravo

Originally Posted by ilsonemo Adrian will give you some advice im sure he is the master of the sunroofs lol Haha in a way I just sealed mine shut because I wish I didnt have one. That worked perfectly ofcourse Royal have a look around the gutter and see if the wiring harness clips are pushing the gutter down at an angle. I did have a leak in the same place it was down to one blocked pipe and that clip pushing the gutter down.

FIAT BRAVO Broken Sunroof Visor (

Spoke to fiat on monday morning they said they were aware of the problem something to do with a slightly too small ratchet thingy and that they would get it fixed asap for me. Got a call yesterday

Originally Posted by ne1l If your cars been leaking then Id be getting it fully sorted under warrenty. a newcar shouldnt be leaking if it does its up to fiat to sort it The car is about 7 years old and Ive had it from new - it actually started quite few years ago (probably within its 3 year official warranty) - it started off as a tiny bit of mould - I smoked at the time so I put it down to rain getting

smoked a ciggie (Ive given up now). Anyway the mould slowly got worse and I eventually realised it was something more sinister. Now its a beast of a patch of mould - nearly ripe for growing mushrooms. As a side note I had to have alot of work done on brake pipes about 3.5 years into having the car (but after the warranty had run out) - I was told after the event that this was a known fault with fiats

Hey guys I have an 07 plate multijet bravo. When I go 60 or above the sunroof whistles and its really really annoying Is there any way of making this stop I have tried closing the sunroof when stationary and when travelling and neither works. I have a feeling it may be a loose seal on the oustide of it. Any suggestions

FIAT BRAVO Whistling sunroof

Hey guys My sunroof whistles when you go over 60mph. Iv had a look at the seal and it seems that the seal does not go all the way down on one side. Any ideas so that I can still use the sunroof and no whistling

So on closer inspection it seems that the back left corner of the sunroof is not quite as close to the seal as the back right corner. Hence why it whistles on the front left of the sunroof. So it is the actual sunroof it seems not the seals. It does not leak but i would like to get rid of the whistle Whats best taking it apart and refitting it
