FIAT BRAVA 182 Coupe steering wheel on a bravo

Thats right im bored with life so i thought to myself what can i do thats original difficult affordable wont chav my car and maintains my theme of original fiat parts. then it came to me. a fiat coupe leather steering wheel theyre sexy enough to make it worth while and i bet ill be the only one with one. so ive bought it and attempted to fit it last night. its not as easy as i thought no where near

well its with much regret that i can confirm that a coupe steering wheel CAN NOT fit on a bravo steering column. the diameter is different. even my grinders best efforts and the destruction of my airbag horn and indicator circuitry is not enough. i now know a barchetta wheel will fit so im hunting for one. but i doubt ill find one until the day after i sell my car. i think a mk2 punto sporting one will fit too so maybe theres a chance ill do that soon. guess ill have to sell the coupe wheel now

will the punto one not fit im sure its the same as the coupe but where it bolts on might be different lol be clever and see what other fiats use the same momo boss kit as the bravo and then see what steering wheels them models have and see if any you like pretty simple

Originally Posted by beau_4076 be clever and see what other fiats use the same momo boss kit as the bravo and then see what steering wheels them models have and see if any you like pretty simple thats what i did apparently the OMP boss kit fits many models including the coupe which is why i bought a coupe steering wheel. i now realise the listing for the OMP boss kit was indicating which models a boss

and contrary to what scooter said you can take the steering wheel even from a car that doesnt have Blue&Me as long as it has the plastic bits where buttons go. The leather rim of the steering wheel is the only thing you need to replace all the rest stays including the arbag part. Cheers Tad the wheel im going to buy is off a 60 plate bravo that is a right off and the wheel is immaculate I phoned fiat

I dont understand why there not interested in replacing them. I had my front and back fiat badges replaced under warranty at well over 4 years old. People have had their whole steering wheels replaced because of peeling so I have read (mine needs doing also havent got round to it yet) Have you tried a different fiat dealer or rang other dealers to see what they think RobW liked this post

Actually he doesnt have a point its the same everywhere in the world and in most countries probably much worse than the UK. People are suffering in the world and here we have a guy bitching and moaning about a steering wheel badge that he probably ruined himself with some cleaning product. I also paid a lot for my bravo but I dont annoy strangers with my small problems.

I dont know if it helps but i had the same exact problem since i bought mine from new. When i was buying it the dealer shrugged it off and told me it just needed cleaning. It got a lot worse though so i mentioned it in my first service and I was told by the head engineer at the fiat service center that this is a common issue that theyve addressed the company about. He said they were absolutely not

I have thesame problem and also for the lather of the steering wheel and fiat in Cyprus replace methe wheel and the AIRBAG also

FIAT BRAVO Steering wheel getting replaced

Hi all Not sure if you have come across the same issue but the fiat logo on my steering wheel has started to wear off. I havent touched or hit it with anything. There is no damage on it. The chrome section on the logo is going black and coming off. So I took it to my dealer today and they said they will replace the whole steering wheel. They ordered it so hope there will be no drama when they replace the whole thing.

will NOT accept that hole. His answer was the workshop manual says to do that but it actually wasnt a proceedure suitable for you car model I replied... If you had told me that you were going to puncture holes I would have told you to not worry about it. WHY didnt you tell me He goes Sorry my mechanice told me after he did it... So he admitted they f%ed up I am now waiting on news from ATECO (fiat

ever since ive bought it. actually spotted it when i first got it but the salesman tried to convince it only needed to be cleaned..when i took it to its first service they told me they couldnt simply change the badge but not the entire steering wheel either. they told me theyll order the badge along with the whole area aound it (the whole horn part). i doubt theyll give a s abt the price since fiat

FIAT BRAVO stereo controls on steering wheel

Hi I have an active sport bravo without the multi functional wheel so my question is can one be fitted if i went to the dealer or fiat specialist

Originally Posted by stiloryan Hi I have an active sport bravo without the multi functional wheel so my question is can one be fitted if i went to the dealer or fiat specialist The leather steering wheel with controls seems to only be an option on a new car. If you did fit one it would need a visit to the garage to activate the controls so basically ask your friendly fiat dealer. Ive got the controls

by Omad I would say no as the steering wheel controls go via the airbag clock springindicator stalk assembly and also via the body computer. So you would need a new clock spring with the extra wiring new stalk assembly etc etc and the body comp would need a reprog and the dealers are not able to do that kind of reprog on them. Sorry for the bad news. Sorry Omad. U R almost right but.... In fiat

Oldbury.

Yeah that price is a bit much. I had a look at the guys eBay store and he has some good stuff and great prices. I cant figure out why I saw different steering wheels for fiat bravo at different prices even the Images look the same. Ill have to think about it a recover would be cheaper and customised to my requirements though. A new steering wheel at that price is also great. I cant find a Indicater Stalk though

FIAT STILO Changing the steering wheel with one from the new Bravo

Hello everyone This is my first post here and Im hoping to get an advice from anyone who tried to change the steering wheel of a fiat Stilo with a bravo one. Is it technicaly posible Is it any chance to keep the old airbag and fit it in the bravo wheel I dont need the audio commands on it.

Hi and welcome to the forum I dont believe someone has ever done that. We recently got a fiat bravo into the family and the only thing I can tell you is that the bravo is actually a stilo. If you look from underneath you cannot tell which is which. The have the same switches and knobs and sticks and share a lot of components so perhaps the steering wheels have the same mountings. FIAT BRAVO Steering wheel split

Hi I am hoping to take my bravo into the dealer tomorrow and be told that this will be repaired under warranty. I wouldnt put money on that though Just got in the car to discover this.... how could this happen Material fault for sure. I dont go around banging on the horn Car is less than 3 years old in warranty until March 2013 and has 16k on the clock. I can just see them telling me now that this

this is starting to look sus now. Some airbags lift the centre section of the wheel. the bravo is designed to burst through. image shows fired bravo bags. There three scenarios here 1) its been in a shunt and not repaired properly and whoever did it managed to trick the airbag system to ignore the missing sensor. This is harder than you think to do and the steering wheel whould be torn a lot worse

FIAT BRAVO Bravo steering wheel control wires

Im a couple of days into the ownership of my 1.9 120bhp Multijet Dynamic bravo and loving it. I want to change the head unit though as I have a double din system with 7 screen etc. The unit I have allows you to hook up any steering wheel controls and learns the buttons so letting you program them yourself. Does anyone know what the wire colors are from the bravo so I can do this Also do you know if

What head unit are you getting Most use a patch lead - a box sits in between the ISO connectors and pulls out the required steering wheel signals for your specific stereo. The bravo has one block (excluding Blue & Me and the USB port) going into the stereo so splitting the requisite wires off would be horrendous.

Hope the PDF helps you. Its in Italian but the pictures are very good. FIAT BRAVO Steering Wheel sensitivity. Can it change

Hello guys. I bought my new bravo Sport 150 t-jet about a month ago. I am very pleased of it except that i cant get used to the soft steering wheel. Even if i have the Sport Option on I still find the steering too sensitive for me. Most annoying is when car is on the motor-way where even a small touch of the steering wheel will move the car to the side lane. Can this be modified Can steering wheel

I know on most fiat models there is normally a City button for the power steering

Hi there Just wondering if a marea steering wheel will fit on a bravo because id like the stereo controls. Cheers Dave

the wheel will fit but you wont have the wiring for the controls so youll need to route the required wires im not sure if the standard bravo headunit will have the wiring to accomodate the steering wheel switches i dont think it does.
