FIAT BRAVA 182 Bravo 155 HGT Fuel Filter - Where is it

Ok so looking to do a full service fairly soon and cant find the fuel filter on the HGT. Can anyone help

Its fitted into the fuel tank which isnt part of the servicing. You cannot even buy the fuel filter. Ask fiat .

to clean it you can wire the pump up backwards to backflush the filter but i only suggest you do that if you know there is a blockage that needs removing and after doing it you need to fully drain the tank to remove any crap. many cars have fuel filters that do not need replacing remember that modern fuels are very clean and the chances of crap getting in the fuel tank is very very small to start off

just checked my manual and youre right. the 2.0 did have a fuel filter and when i checked other models it says they do too. so now im confused ive always thought the 1.6 was the only model with a removable fuel filter ive tried to change it on other models and it wasnt there. but i think i now know why. it seems the fuel filter is actually hidden under a cover under the car. in the following attachment

a built in filter. the JTD has a filter fixed onto the side of the inlet manifold . the mk2 manual does not cover the 1.6 or 1.8 petrol models (why) so i cant be sure about them but i guess since the HGT went from external to built in filter that other models will be the same. Hi Two weeks ago I had service done on my bravo 1.9 120t multijet and yesterday ive noticed that interior smelled of diesel. Today there was quite a bit of spillage on the ground so when glanced under the hood to my surprise fuel filter and area around it was all covered in diesel. No idea where the leak is but filter was replaced when serviced. Do you think its safe to drive that car because i need

Its safe... as long as you have a fire extinguisher on board

Wish i had one ....

lol...make the poor guy feel better Theres a plastic large screw at bottom of filter just make sure thats tight and pipes are secure if ok (depending on version) its probably the seal. As for driving...how far

There and back around 10 miles ... as for the filter the whole top of it is flooded.

FIAT BRAVA 182 fiat bravo fuel consumption and acceleration problems

Hi I have a fiat bravo 1997 1.4 litre 12 valve car. I have two main problems 1) The fuel consumption is extremely high when i first start the car raw gas comes out of the exhaust i can smell a very strong gas odor mostly when it first starts and it goes on even after it is warmed up but with less intensity. 2) I have a problem with its acceleration especially when it is fully warmed up. When i press

So what mpg are we talking here when you say it has high fuel consumption The 1.4 engine bravo slurps the juice like no other. Oxygen sensor change would be my first favourite as it would also explain the hesitation on acceleration (you did replace with with a new one didnt you)but if youve changed that already and youre happy with it then as long as the air filter is clean and the ECU reset then you

FIAT MAREA 185 JTD Fuel Filter

When was yours last changed Got a new Guide on how to tackle it. Would appreciate feedback and images of other marea fuel filters as I know the 130JTD is in a rather strange place. httpwww.fiatforum.combravo-brava-marea-guides cheers

connected directly underneath the fuel filter when you buy a new filter it has a white plastic drain cap on it you need to remove this and refit the electric device to the bottom of it and then reconnect the wire to it. I was puzzled because if it was connected and you started unscrewing the filter it would of twisted the wire possibly broken it. Not sure if the JTD130 has it but i cant see why fiat

FIAT BRAVA 182 2001 Brava - Fuel Filter

Hi I have a fiat Brava 2001 1.6 16V and I cant find the fuel filter Can somebody tell me where is the filter located please Thank you

Mk2 1.6 dont have changeable fuel filter though you may find the cover Rumplestiltskin told you about but you wont find any filter beneath it. On these models the filter is built into the fuel pump and Haynes and fiat claim that its not to be replaced regularly.

Thank you guys Anyway meanwhile Ive check with a fiat service and they tell me what TheCROW sayOn this model fiat choose a returnless fuel supply system without any fuel filter I dont really know what that means but - no fuel filter ... Now an other question what is returnless fuel supply system and how dose it work Thanks

delivery. A fuel pressure sensor mounted on the fuel rail allows the PCM to monitor fuel pressure. When pressure in the supply rail drops as engine load or speed increases the PCM compensates by increasing injector duration or the operating speed of the fuel pump. basically almost all new cars are returnless these days. however most returnless systems still have a fuel filter as does the 1.6 bravo

FIAT BRAVA 182 Fuel Filter

Hey guys where is the fuel filter on my 99 Brava 100SX 16V 1.6L manual Thanx.

Cant imagine there being no fuel filter. Any fuel injected car would surely need one to avoid clogging the injectors. Cant tell you for sure about the Brava but on the Coupe its underneath next to the fuel tank underneath a plastic cover. Could be a similar situation with the bravo. H

FIAT BRAVA 182 Fuel Filter Location

Hi all I have a 99 bravo HGT 20v which my bro passed on to me (boy he doesnt take care of his cars) the plugs had probably been in there for over 25k he has never done the fuel filter. So I have done the plugs noticed that this engine uses coil packs instead of HT leads. Anyway thats my life story as the heading says - I could not see where it is located. It doesnt seem to be on the bulkhead. Im using a Halfrauds filter so maybe it doesnt look the same any help would be appreciated. Cheers

FIAT BRAVA 182 Where is fuel filter

My darling HGT did the dirty on me (but it was probable my fault so I forgive her). I poped out last night and when I got back in the car it wouldnt start. Luckily a top RAC bloke came out and soon sussed that the fuel pump wasnt working. Clever chap that he was he connected an external power source and reversed the pumps flow. He then reconnected everything and the car went. He reckoned that either

on my 1.6 bravo the fuel filter in inside fuel tank.

FIAT BRAVO Air Filters and info on them

Firstly Im pretty much ignorant of the ins and outs of an engine - Ive an idea how it works but have no idea how it all goes together - I just enjoy driving so concentrate on that rather than how it actually works Im thinking about changing my air filter - not entirely sure why but I reckon if the likes of K&Ns statements are true - then I could be adding another 2 or 3bhp to my car without any proper

I had a k&n panel filter on my 1.2 16v punto and its was worth it. Because they change the air filter on 40 000 km. I took my original out on 25 000 km and it was very clogged ( simillar to the t-jets on 15 000 ). And had it for 70 000 km in the car without a problem ( you just have to oil it carefully-not too much ). I didnt boost the performace of the punto but mine had the lowest fuel consumtion of every 1.2 16v in my former fiat club no matter the driving conditions ( k&n guarantees 10 % lower fuel consumtion )

FIAT BRAVA 182 Brava fuel filter

Hi Does anyone know where the fuel filter is on a brava 1.6 2000 model I have just serviced it but cant find the filter. I have traced back from the fuel rail and underneath to the back and still cant find it. Theres been a few suggestions to remove a cover infront of the back right wheel which iv done and its not there eather. The filter iv been given is a inline directional filter. I was wondering

they are wrong as usual check the attached diagram. no2 is the filter in the pump. that diagram is taken directly from the fiat workshop manual for the mk2 1.6 which is your car.
