BMW Z3 E36 Wheres the best place to sell my Z4 seats

I had to put orthopedic seats (sigh) into my 2003 Z4 and so I am parting with the regular roadster seats. They are in absolutely perfect condition with the headrests vinyl covers pads seat frame with rails and complete electrical system (these must be purchased separately at bmw). Each seat goes for 2645 per seat at bmw. Im selling them for 750 per seat (1500 for both) OR BEST OFFER. I covered the

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 M Coupe Impressions

Picture courtesy of Conti.net Got to check out the new Z4 M Coupe in person. Many people took various pictures of the exterior body and interior. I took some odd pictures that I thought were interesting. First Picture - There appears to be a small overhead compartment just abovebehind the interior overhead light switch. I didnt think about opening it but it looks like a place to put sunglasses. Second

Leave it to you Ron to figure a way to make Z4 M Coupe the way it should have been designed. I look forward to seeing roof mounted antenna. Im assuming the stock location will be shaved and smoothed over. You can see the subtle shelf the antenna rests on in the 280ZX and 280Z pictures above. The shelf is sharply pronounced on the new Z4 M Coupe. Looking at the car from this angle reminded me of the

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 seat material options

What were the seat material choices for the Z4 in 03 and 04 Most of the used Z4s Ive looked at have leather seats then I came across this ad which looks like a leather and cloth combo - love the look actually.

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 M vs 911

OKIve been reading the results and it seems when pushed hard by a capable driver the Z4 M coupe or M roadster may very well have something for the 911 it seems to me if you improved the tires on a Z4 M you would have to be right there as far as performance on the race track. Any experience out there

I just unloaded my 03 Porsche 996 C2 and replaced it with a Z4 Coupe rather than a new 997. Both cars are some of the best engineered and best handling cars in the world. When it came down to it though I simply could not justify the 40K price differential. And that is at base prices. Porsche charges extra for everything. Go to KBB.com and check out the options list for a 997. You can spend an extra

BMW Z3 E36 Challenge 03 Z4 Mystery Parts Need Identification

As the 2nd owner of a 2003 Z4 3.0i E85 Roadster (mfgd 902) I found two pairs of loose parts one under the driver seat and one under the passenger seat while cleaning the car this weekend. A photo of the parts is attached ...They are identical pairs of metalplastic pieces...The black plastic pieces each appear fractured at what I call the leading edge. I assume they broke from the power seats (memory

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 - power top does not fully close

Hi I am not sure anyone has experienced the same issue - the power top does not fully get retracted. Once down its got less than a half-inch left when looking through between the headrests. I can see there is a metal bracket on the chassis that seems to be matching with two metal studs coming from the soft top the assembly looks like a latch but it never goes in fully. I have an extended warranty thats

it is fully broken they are not covering it. So I need to find what reasons might there be for the top to not latch in. Thanks for your help You could always fully break it Theres a cylinder of hydraulic fluid behind the carpet in the trunk that is used to raise and lower the entire top assembly. Check that its full. Heres the REAL OEM diagrams for all the parts on an 06 Z4M httpwww.realoem.combmwpartgrp.d...45&hg54&fg10

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 Seat Question

Hey forum At the risk of sounding naive I have to ask I have a 03 2.5. The seats are kind of a black bumpy textured material. They are backed with cloth. Im starting to get wear marks on the driver side bolster and want to treat them with something. My question is Are these seats leather Or are they fake leather Im not sure. Does anyone have these same seats and if so what do you treat them with Thanks to anyone who replies sean

Sounds like leatherette (vinyl). Are there two indentations on the backrest below the headrest

BMW Z3 E36 Z4 FS (feeler) Dream Red Heated Power Leather OEM Seats

Came out of my 2004 3.0i. Dream Red heated Oregon leather. Very good condition. Scratch on back of one of the headrests. Will not come with a passenger occupancy sensor or seat belt receptacles -- I transferred them to the new seats below New Seats Seat Mat If you would like the occupancy sensor and can send me your passenger seat bottom I can reinstall the sensor and include it. Asking price 1100 or best offer. This is still a feeler thread at the moment.

BMW Z3 E36 BMW to abandon high-revving engines in M cars

httpwww.autoweek.comarticle20081126FREE811269993 An end of an era. Not entirely unexpected but would prefer the high revving engines and dump a chunk of weight to achieve their consumption goals. But alas when your sports cars are based off of road cars that is not feasible.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 Rear View Mirror Blind Spots

I test drove the E93 and when I looked in the rear view mirror I saw the backseat headrests blocked about 75% of the height that I could see in the mirror. The dealer said the headrests were in the lowest position. Does anyone else have problems with these blindspots

The dealer said the headrests were in the lowest position. Does anyone else have problems with these blindspots One of the reasons why the rear view mirror on the E9s is 25% too big to me. Overall the E93 has excellent sightlines as compared to the other E9Xes as it does not have the large B & C pilers blocking the view. And that is before one drops the top. As a once-upon-a-time Z4 owner bmw

BMW Z3 E36 Z4M First week review

Ive just finished up my first week with the new car and I must say that each day I like it more and more. Previously had an E39 M5 which was a powerful beast with incredible muscle...but the Z4M is pretty entertaining and of course a much more nimble car. The creature comforts are more spartan but that is part of the sports car experience. So my rants and raves after 7 days are 1) Drivetrain Love the

though I wish it had a headrest angle adjustment. The car I traded in was an Audi A3...hated those seats. The fat steering wheel is awesome And I really like the carbon leather dash despite my initial negative reation to it. I do feel that there is a bit more plastic than there should be in what stickered as a 57000 car...whatever happened to the extended leather option It doesnt appear on the bmw

I also finished my first in the new car Since my previous car was a Z4 Roadster (E85) I didnt have any ride height problem. I scraped my roadsters front bumper so many times Ive gotten used to it and also learned how to avoid it Some random thoughts 1. I never had an M car before although this is my 4th bmw. The engine is such a beast I am still getting used to the raw power of this exceptional engine.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 First drive in an E90

I got an E90 325i as a loaner car from a bmw dealership when my M Coupe was in for its 1200 mile service. What follows are my impressions of the car. The exterior is not the tasteless mess that the 5 and 7 series are but it lacks the refined ellegance of the E46 3 Series. There are some angles from which the car looks unbalanced and akward where the E46 looked perfect from every angle and some detailing

BMW SERIES 3 F30 Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the StartStop Feature on your F30 3 series

One of the most interesting possibly obtrusive and certainly confusing new EfficientDynamics features added to the 2012 F30 3 series is the automatic stop start system. Stopstart is standard equipment on all new F30 3 series and is designed to save fuel while the car would otherwise be idling. The stop start functions differently depending on the transmission choice. Automatic Transmission StopStart

to take your pick. And even if demand dictated otherwise market forces would not eliminate choices. I.e. even if the econoboxes were not the market sweet spot theyd still have their place and be available all the same. There is definitely a market for them. Thatd be great. Im all for more diesel passenger cars as well. But the trend right now seems to be for hybrid vehicles instead. I thought bmw

BMW X3 E83 Audio Kit for aftermarket headunit

Thinking about getting the pioneer navcddvd head unit. Anyone know who makes a install kit for bmw Basically like a craddle that takes the place and shape of the OEM bmw radio but with a rectangluar hole in it for aftermarket headunits.

The mounting kit is the only part I am waiting on so im curious to see the color. Nonetheless the installer said he could paint the face to match the dash. Worse case scenario he has to fabricate a face from fiberglass. Also the installer had me purchase a Soundgate CAN-BUS speed interface so as to hook up the Nav. Model CAN02BUS. Also I had to get a steering wheel interface to preserve the bmw

a speed sensor (CanBus02) Z4 mounting installation kit Peswix-steering wheel radio control interface Kenwood video switcher power inverter & video enhancer. Then figure out where you want stuff installed ex. the Nav antenna wireless headphone IR rear view camera. The game plus took the spot for the rear seat cigarette lighter So I had the lighter unit placed in the center console. A broken bmw

BMW SERIES 6 My 650 has spoiled me

Have any of you guys driven another car lately I recently drove a CLK 430 a X5 and a new vette. The CLK feels like I just picked up a POS rental at an airport the X5 ride is harsh and the steering wheel is so hard to turn it feels like it had 100000 miles on it but only had 11000. The vette was noisy bumpy made clunking noises and didnt feel that much faster than my 650. Like the recent thread I have

redelivered in the US my 650 coupe will serve as a daily driver. As such it needs to quiet and comforatble as well as fast. Like many here Im fortunate to have garage space for several cars including an allroad (with Hotchkiss bars) to haul my Dobies around take into Baja skiing etc. If I had to choose a single car it might be something like an S6 Avant or an M version of the 5 series wagon if bmw

BMW SERIES 3 E46 Thinking of a 350Z and getting rid of my 330ci

So Heres the dilemma Ive had my 330ci since 2001. Its kinda old now and I was thinking of getting a Z. So my I have a 2001 330CI - Dark Gray with about 60000 miles. What do you think I could get for it Its in decent condition i just had inspection 2 done and got the brakes changed a couple months ago. What do you guys think Also can someone please run a carfax on it for me JN1AZ34E04T052883 Qilfu

Look at what happened to passengers side headrest. It was smashed it when the car rolled over. If there were a passenger in that seat he or she would have been dead. Car definitely needs a roll-bar installed or you are doomed if that car were to ever roll over. I can now see why they do not offer a sunroof for that car as the roof is very week as is. Imagine the seatbelt not failing and holding the passenger pinned to their seat in a roll over his or her head would be smashed if not decapitated in their own seat. My brother is 21 years old and will remain in his wheel chair for life unless some miracle comes by. Stick to bmwS or wait for the the new Z4 to come out
