BMW X1 E84 Completely new X-1 for 2015...Apples to Oranges

I wanted to order a 2014 X-1 for Euro delivery but was told by bmw that the 2014s stop production end of Feb-March. If I want to pick one up in April it would be a 2015. Now Ive heard that the 2015 X-1 will be a complete rework changing from rear wheel to front wheel drive. They are going to use the Countryman platform. It seems that there may not be a 6 -cyclinder engine available (at least at first)

Now that Ive driven my X1 sDrive xLine for a couple of hundred miles Id like to share my observations to help others in their buying decision and to see if other owners share similar observations. BMW SERIES 3 F30 328i vs X1 price to value ratio BMW screw job

I cant help but notice that the bmw X1 is a small SUV with the exact same 240 horsepower turbo 4 cylinder engine 8 speed automatic transmission same interior as a 328i. Yet it cost about 6000 less than a 328i It seems SUVs always cost more than cars due to beefier suspensions and tire and wheel packages (I suppose). I cant help but think that bmw is screwing us on the price of the 328i. If they can sell the X1 for 31K then a 328i should cost about 29K not the 37K that they do.

BMW X1 E84 X1 28i or 38i

X1 28i or 35i which one is better Thanks for your input.

I am waiting to take delivery on an xDrive35 MSport Ultimate LeMans Blue Black Heated Seatsi. I agree it depends on the type of driving you will be doing as well as what you are used to. I went with the xDrive35i (N55 5 cylinder) because I feel the additional torque will be important driving in the Sierra Mountains. I am also used to driving an 8 cylinder 540i and just didnt want to be left feeling

BMW X3 E83 Tiguan instead of X3 -- do they take my status away

For the record my daily driver is an 08 e93 which replaced an 03 e46. Im as hooked on bmw as anybody. Problem is my mother was in the market for a small SUV cross-over with AWD and an auto transmission or maybe a sport wagon. Knowing nothing about cars she turned to me for help. Short version After a bit of research and some test drives I told her not to buy an X3 and to buy a VW Tiguan instead. She

those two I think youre giving up on the inline 6 engine and the status. Not sure what else youre not getting in the VW. howdy all. usually im in the lower section here (down by the 3s) but i have stumbled across information leading to the wherabouts of a 1989 750iL. the price is reasonable from what i have gathered but i am not real familiar with the 7 series. i did some research and it seems that there are a lot of ownersformer owners around the virtual world that lovehate these vehicles. i prefer manual transmissions
