BMW X1 E84 back seat trunk space

Hi I am shopping around the X1 and the Acura RDX for a purchase in the winter spring. I have an older SUV now that is the same length as the X1 with ample back seat and huge trunk space. Any input on back seat space for male passengers around 5 10 to 6 ft How about the trunk space In my current vehicle I am able to fit a set of golf clubs with 2 25 inch suit cases along with a couple of carry-ons

I dont think you will be able to put golf clubs in without moving the seats a bit. back seat room is limited good for small children but can be tight for adults especially for longer trips. It all depends on how far back the front seats are. I am 59 and there is very little room when I am driving.

BMW X1 E84 how to remove the back seats

Hi Everyone A friend of mine managed to pull off the cover of child seat latch in the back seat of my one week old X1 and push it in the latch compartment Here is the latch with its cover and here is the missing latch cover that went inside the latch compartment (inside the hole that you see in the picture) I tried to get the cover out of the latch compartments but it went further inside and I cant

if it is anything like the 1 series or 3 series you should be able to just pull up the seat bottom the wire frame that makes up the seat just seats into some clips mounted to the floor of the car try gently pulling up from the front you should be able to get your fingers in there. TJ

BMW X1 E84 Back seat size specs

Hi all We are looking to find a dog crate to fit in the back of a s28i x1. I was wondering if anyone knows the width of a 40(402040) seat when folded down or where to get the specs If anything I need to know the distance between the middle seat when up and the door. Im trying to pass a crate through it so that we dont have to take it out all the time. Thanks for any help

Id simply go to the dealer with a X1 with my dog crate.

Yea I asked because our dealer sold their demo and wasnt getting another one for a few weeks. We ended up at a different dealer who did have one. I gotta admit the back seats are smaller than I rememberedthought. A dog crate is going to require the middle down too. As jsr said I wouldnt want to be 61 in them but they are fine for us who wanted this for more storage room than a car. We hike and camp with our dogs all the time(pretty much their marketed audience..uhh guess that one worked ) and were sick of driving a sedan. We werent buying back seats for having adults or kids in constantly. Although I did run through the WORST CASE scenarios for us and I do feel its high enough and large enough that if you did have kids carseats would be way easier to deal with in an x1 vs a car. Keep in mind Im 54 too...

I would disagree with this. The F30s backseat is actually roomy - far more space than the X1 for a rear-facing seat. Yes its lower but as I used a rear-facing carseat in my 335i e90 Im positive the much larger

BMW X1 E84 Back seat space relative to an E90

I know they are built on the same chassis. Can anyone comment on the size of the rear seat on the X1 relative to the E90 Specifically is the width the same narrower wider

Same width. The back seat is better than the 3 because the seats sit 4-5 higher meaning you can put your feet under the front seat

BMW X1 E84 Back fron ED 500 miles review

I have just spent 500 miles driving our X1 in Germany and are now anxiously awaiting its redelivery. Here is what I noticed during my drive Pros 1. The car is very nimble and handles really well. 2. Brakes are excellent. 3. The Terra interior is darker and looks richer than the picture. Also dark bronze trims looks really good too. 4. Economical 28.7 mpg mostly highway and it will get better after

BMW X1 E84 Does anyone make a backup camera

For the X1 If I keep this car my wife insists it have a backup camera.

I also was digging and found that a company called mobileye does the lane departure rear end collision warning auto-high beam pedestrian and bike warnings speed and stop sign warnings and so on for pretty much all car manufacturers. You can buy their mobileye g270 for about 750 that does everything except controls your car lights brakes steering wheel or seat vibratorwarning. bmw

BMW X1 E84 X1 with child booster seats

Hi Im contemplating getting an X1 as a daily driver and want to know if its possible for 3 child booster seats to sit across the back seat Ages are 468. The booster seats are just the bases (no seatbacks). I would only use it in a pinchwhen needed as the wifes Acadia is the typical kid hauler. Most times I only have the need for 1 or 2 kids back there. Anyone try this Thanks.

Dont take anyones word for it. You should go down to the dealer with seats & kids in tow and try it out directly. Having said that I drove the X1 last weekend and I would be surprised if you got 3 across in the back seat. Its tight back there.

Took an X1 xdrive 28i home for the night from my local dealer. Nice car. Good power and handling. Looks like you can get decent MPG if you stay out of the boost. As for the car seat situation you can get 3 booster seat bases across the back seat. Its tight but they fit. The outer ones at a slight angle since the seats kind of angle there. You could do it in a pinch (exactly my needs) but it would be

BMW X1 E84 X1 Sport Seats - Power Side Bolsters

I realize you must order the Sport or MSport package to get the sport seats. Also to get power seats I believe you must order the Premium package. My question is if you order the Sport or MSport package to get the sport seats do they come with power adjustable side bolsters (If you order the premium package with sport seats do these come with power adjustable side bolsters.) I am in the US and 1 dealer I asked said you can not get an X1 with power adjustable side bolsters. Thx.

Posted by xact I just picked up my M Sport last night. Although mine has manual seats (slide recline tilt height etc.) it does indeed have power side bolsters. There is a rocker switch on the front corner of the seating area that seems to pumprelease air into bladders in the seats side bolsters. Both driver and passenger seats have this mechanism. Glad you confirmed the bolsters. We have a sport X1

Quote Originally Posted by conceyted The lumbar switch is a 4 direction switch while the bolster switch is a rocker switch. This is correct. My manual Sport seats have a 2-way rocker switch on the front corner (not a 4-direction switch on the side). The control is labeled backrest width on GerWils attached .pdf document.

I have a 5 yr old in a front facing seat and it really depends on who is in the passenger seat... When my wife is in it there is plenty of clearance since she is only 51... On the other hand when we are in her 128 our daughter is all over the back of the seat and we got a protector for her car... Worse case is we get another one... We love our X1 either way... The reality is that putting a toddler in the car is going to create a mess and unless you shrink wrap them or use the Maxwell Smart cone of silence there is little you can do other than clean it up. I took out out front facing seat a few months ago and the mess underneath was amazing. Nothing that couldnt be vacuumed but there was a lot of crumbs etc. By the way hes 32 months old and even with the passenger seat 34 of the way back (this is an E90 by the way) his feet cant reach the seat back.

BMW X1 E84 sDrive M-sport no paddle shifters or power seats

Picked up our new 28s with M-sport in Mineral Grey Metallic. First impressions 1. Looks Car looks awesome Ill post some pics shortly. The front M-sport fascia really makes a huge difference and even though the grey is a neutral color I think it looks really nice. 2. Driving the mapping of the transmission is REALLY slow off the line but then the turbo spools up and the thing FLIES. I actually said

It should clearly haves stated that seat memory only comes if you order 459 which apparently you can order separately for 995 or as you stated the Premium package. The paddle shifter issue also appears very clear from the bmw

BMW X1 E84 Sport Seats without lumbar

I am working through options and could use some feedback realizing seat comfort is a very personal thing. After testing both standard and sport seats I know for sure I want the sport seats. The seats were most comfortable with the lumbar adjustment completely retracted. The only reason I would order the Premium Package would be for the lumbar. Now heres the long shot part of my question - can anyone

plastic tubing to each of the two inflation chamber tube fittings and two sphygmomanometer bulbs (cheap - Amazon and ebay have them) at the tube ends. Route to the front or side of the seat and you have full (but manual) functionality. 3. BMW X1 E84 Anyone transport their bicycle in the back

With the back seats tilted forward I am trying to determine if I will be able to carry my road bike (55cm) in the back of the car by taking off the front tire. Please let me know if have tried this and whether or not it works. (I am not interested in putting the bike on a rack). Thanks Buminenga

I have a 55cm road bike with ISP that fits in the back without removing the front or rear wheel as long as all back seats are folded down. However I dont think I would have much more room to put race gear if I was headed to another state to race and possibly sleep overnight. I purchased a bmw roof rack and two bike trays. Give me until tomorrow and I will take some shots of the car with my bike in

(carbon) Cannondales and do not like leaving the bikes on a roof rack when I need to be out and away from the car. If I can get one bike inside (with the seats down) I can put my riding gear on the front passenger seat floor. Most of my traveling to ride I do alone or meet up with a buddy somewhere so I dont need to carry more than one bike. Again thanks for the info... I plan to order a brown X1

BMW X1 E84 Fitted rear seat cover

Any recommendations for a fitted rear sea cover I dont see where bmw offers such a product. Id like to add a layer of protection between the factory-installed seat covers and the little riders in the back with their crayons pencils crumbs drinks...

bmw does sell one but its also in the 350 range. If you can sew or know someone who can have them draft something up out of an old quilt and some waterproof backing.

BMW X1 E84 X1 and 2 car seats

I know just go put them in the car... No I am tomorrow. But curious to owners Ill have a booster for a 5 yr old and an infant 2 weeks old in a rear facing seat. Is it comfortable over time Our X3 lease is coming up and might end early for the X1 based on trade in Val payoff etc. Sohow comfortable is the fit Im not worried about travel trips as ill do a roof box for luggage seems bmw sells a cross base system for the rails so my box for the mini will fit fine.

The rear facing infant carrier is going to be the issue theres not a whole lot of space back there. Like you said take it into the dealer and try it out but most likely the person in the front is going to be eating their knees. The best place is the middle for for the infant carrier but if you have another seat back there its probably not an option.

BMW X1 E84 seatbelts lock while fully retracted

anyone else having trouble with seatbelts locking in the retracted position such that it doesnt allow you to put on the seat belt On more than a couple of occasions I had to jiggle it even though it was fully retracted before it would become unlocked. This happens on the passenger side front as well. Wonding if anyone has else has had this problem and how theyve avoided it. thanks.

Same problem with belt locked in place in fully retracted position. No specific way to release it. Just jiggle and feed back toward retraction. Thus far driver side only. An obvious safety issue that requires immediate attention.

If a seatbelt(any seatbelt) is pulled all the way out and then allowed to retract any amount one will not be able to pull it back out until it is completely retracted. This is for the benefit of securing child seats. When in this child seat mode you can hear a distinct clicking as the belt retracts. I hope this is the answer to your question and that I didnt waste my time answering some that wasnt asked.

BMW X1 E84 Heated seats not that hot

Yesterday was my first opportunity to use my heated seats on a cool day. It was raining and the temps were in the 50s. I put my seat on high and I was disappointed in the temperature. Ive been in cars where the highest setting is almost too hot however in my car I forgot the seat was even on after awhile. I cant imagine a situation where I would ever need the lower two settings. Do others have this same feedback or could mine perhaps be faulty Thanks Kristi

My seats get plenty hot for me they just dont warm up fast enough. Its that first blast of cold on my back that I cant stand before the warming starts. I wish they had a remote-on for that feature so when you got in they would be pre-warmed. The heated steering wheel gets almost too hot to hold on to. I turn that off pretty quick.

BMW SERIES 5 GT F07 Luxury rear seating...a bird in the back

So have driven just over 100 miles now and wondering if anyone else has experienced this with the rear luxury seating package... It took a while to locate the general source of this metal on metal squeakchirp sound because it only happens over a slight jolt of a bump or several small bumps in quick succession but the passenger side rear seat has a chirping sound. Best I can tell it is coming from somewhere
