AUDI TT Door sticking

Hello all... I have a 2001 audi TT. Im having lots of issues lately but the one thats most annoying is the drivers side door wont open from the inside when I pull the handle. I have to hit the unlock all button and slam my body against the door for it to open. Also with the same door the window wont go all the way up. It stops about a 14 inch from the top. The window regulator was just replaced recently

AUDI TT Passenger Door Wont Open

Hello My passenger door only opens if I push it from the outside near the handle after I hear a small CLICK. After I open the door and lock it then proceed to unlock it again I have to push it till I hear the CLICK again. Once its open and I close it again it will always open as long as I dont lock it. It opens from the inside and outside I have taken out the latch and cleaned it throughly also checked the door edges to see if anything was making the latch not fully catch the hinge. Help please

AUDI TT intermitant door locking

My TT will lock without warning. So I always have my keys with. The feature that opens the windows from the outside with the turn of a key doesnt work. The chimes for key in ignition and lights on also doesnt work. Diagnosis says left side door latch. Hopefully warrenty will cover if not it is about a 350 item including diagnosis P. Tobiason

take the left door card off (get a Bentley manual or some pix on the net) careful when removing the button on the door handle (inside). There is a small switch at the door latch which is acessable when removing the latch. Plastic switch usually brakes. Fix with a leaf style microswitch 4 at the electronics supply and drill new holes for mounting. While U have it open remove the windo motor and lube the plastic m. and f.m. gears (motor and gearbox ) as well as cables with white grease.

AUDI TT Window not opening on door open

So this issue comes up a lot I see but not sure if the symptoms are the same the driver window does not slide down an inch when opening. However the interior lights still go on and off and the alarm will trigger (it wouldnt if the door was open). Ive found posts detailing the sensor but it normally mentions that the interior lights malfunction as well - Are there perhaps 2 different sensors I tried

If your car is a convertible make sure that the light on the instrument panel for the top position is not lit. Sometimes I have to slightly bump the top-latch handle with the heal of my hand to get it to go out after raising the top and latching it. The sensor in the door latch mechanism is basically a poorly designed limit switch that has a rubber tipped actuator that eventually wears out. I replaced

AUDI S4 vs. TT

So I had a thought yesterday...a buddy of mine was looking at a 2000 S4 he ditched it in favor of a bike however. But that got me interested. Ive always thought that my TT doesnt have enough potential for me to feel comfortable investing a lot into it. I kinda want a boosted 6-cylinder engine to play with. Thus you can see how the S4 seemed an interesting prospect. Power wise it seems a nice package

AUDI TT 8N 2000 TT 180 horse- Timing belt window common issues...

I have a 2000 audi TT I just bought with the 1.8 180 horspower 5 speed. It is now at 87000 miles and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some questions Ive been googling for. 1- It hasnt had the timing belt job done yet and I was wondering if anyone has a thread on the step by step process to do it. My friend and I are mechanically inclined but a tutorial would be easier. I realize it

1 httpforums.vwvortex.comshowthread.php2840728 2 You either have a bad motor or reg. Motor is easy to install reg is a bit more work since you need to mess with pop rivets. You can pull the door cover by just twisting the round cover on the handle remove the bolt and rubber on the corners then lift. Motor is just 3 bolts and a plug just make sure you dont pull the pulley off with it. 3 No more than any other TT. 4 They work fine no different than a dv.

AUDI TT 8J Glove box fixed in 10 minutes.

So Ive had the broken-off glove box handle in my car for almost a year. Ive read various fixes including some guy on eBay who sells a machined metal insert for 100. The bottom pivot for my glove box latch broke off so the latch is no longer held in. Heres how I fixed it. 1. Remove lock cylinder from latch. Be careful you dont lose the springs and tumblers. (Removing the cylinder involves pulling back

AUDI TT Power window woes....

I have a 2002 TT and the drivers power window motor was not working at all just clicking. I took apart the motor and transmission cleaned and properly lubricated brushes gears etc. The motor is now working properly but...The motor will only run for a half or one second then stop You have to let off the power window switch and then push it again to go another half to one second the window moves an inch

Almost sounds like the circuitcontroller involved with lowering and raising the window when the door is openedclosed is stuck in operative mode. Power intoduced to the window circuit only moves the window 34 of an inch. Dont know how to trouble-shoot this. You could check the switches (handles and door jam) to see if they appear OK.

AUDI A3 AUDI TT Corporate lease vehicle

Hi guys I am planning to buy an audi TT Roadster and I really need your suggestion. The car looks great looks healthy pretty neat and the test drive was awesome. It is a 2004 model and has 65K miles on it with very good maintainance records oil changes. Simply the car is flawless the price looks pretty decent on KBB and EDMUNDS and the important thing I am totally inclined to it. After I got the carfax

i bought my 03 A4 2.5 years back and it was a corporate leased vehicle as well. when i picked it up it was pristine and had all maintenance done that was needed by that time. as its time as a lease it was in an accident (minor tbonebut both passenger side doors were replaced). if i didnt look at the carfax i never would have known about any of this. it driveshandlesperforms like a new car. my experience

AUDI TT Window has a mind of its own

So my driver side window will lower and raise on its own instead of when i openshut my door. Ill be driving down the road and it will lower when i hit a bump or just randomly. If I hit my door with my hand it will raise back up. Also i cant lock my car because it will lower after i lock it and set off my alarm. Is there a sensor that I can change out or what its kind of annoying. Thanks

AUDI TT glove box issues - will not open

the handle on the glove box just came off when i tried to ppen it. now it wont open. i tried to stick my finger in and slide the tab to open but it just wont open i slide the latch over but it does not release the door. what do i do

My brohter use to have an audi TT. 2 cars later he is now in a G35 sedan and says the G35 handles so much better - and its not AWD like the audi was. A lot more issues with the audi .... had it less than 2 years only 9000 miles and they had to replace a bunch of stuff on it - drivers seat cd changer door sills and some other stuff. Nice car but a little bumpy harsh ride. Like the looks of this new one though.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 e92 335 super fast handles incredibly ... and is boring

First of all I realize that this post may come off like a troll. Its not. I currently drive an 02 E46 330 Sport Sedan with Dynan Stage 1 software. It has 90k miles and still going strong. I plan to keep it as a 4-door. Its time for a new car. My lengthy intro post included the cars Im considering ( httpwww.bimmerfest.comforumssho...d.phpt214712 ). But here Id like to focus on the 335 e92. I test drove an e90 and two e92s. All were 335s. Two were tips and one a stick (nice MT feel). Each test drive left me underwhelmed. The car is super fast. It handles extremely well. Yet driving it is boring. The e92 335 is too reserved. Very poised. Totally nonchalant. The speed builds up very fast but the only way you know is by the speedo. Im the captain on the bridge issuing orders and it executes -- flawlessly and without emotion. Dont get me wrong -- I thoroughly enjoyed the neck-snapping accel -- but where is the passion My e46 is much less powerful less torquey yet more fun. I feel Im driving it not just operating the controls. Ive often wondered what e46 M3s are like. Finally took two for a test drive from an independent dealer lot. WOW What FUN (Why did I wait so long) The wikkid noise the feel of power the raw adrenaline. Youre a fighter pilot strapped in a jet supersonic at 500 feet Yes you feel every bump on the road. Yes the chassis is old gen and less stiff than current. Yes it costs the same as the new 335 but its a used car w50K miles no nav no bluetooth no twin turbos no warranty no free service. But grab that thick steering wheel and youre rocking One of my friends test drove the 335 coupe and could not stop talking about it for days. Of course after Acura RDX and an Accord any BMW will leave you speechless. He says Im spoiled. But I just calls them as I sees them. And driving the 335 left me -- blah. Very much to my surprise and chagrin. I expected sex and rock n roll -- its the latest 3 series Its got the TT underrated at 300hp. It did the Ring in 810. It matches M3s 0-60 time without any extra boost. Heck it beat the M Coupes VIR time (as tested by Edmunds). What is wrong with me What to do The angel on the practical left-brain side says Get the 335. Youll enjoy it. Its a daily driver. Youve got a baby on the way. You can still take it to the track. So it will overheat a bit -- youre not racing just doing the driving school. Cmon -- its trouble-free ownership for at least 4 years. And then the devil on the right chimes in The three cars you had fun in were the M Coupe the M3 and the 911. NOT the 335. But the M Coupe would be a terrible daily driver. San Jose CA roads suck -- its suspension will knock my kidneys out. (Besides the Cayman bests in the M Coupe in practically all reviews.) Maybe the 135 will be a fun car but I dont want to wait until March or summer 08 realistically. The new M3 is out price-wise. And 911s in the mid 40s are 5 years old expensive to maintain cars. So fellow bimmerfest-ers. What to do Do those that left M3s for the 335 miss the Ms rush What did you do Are there mods to make the e92 more fun Realistically I dont want to spend many thousands improving a new 50K 3-series. And boosting the engine to get 4.5 sec aught-to-sixty is not my idea of fun. A more engaging and involved driving experience is what Im after. Cheers Max My little cousin said almost the same thing about my E46 when it came outHe said it was boring and looked like an audiHe had an E36 back then.

AUDI A4 B5 Bbk oem

I have a 99 a4 will the s4 stock cAlipers fit my car. The calipers are of a 2000 s4 wht is the diffrence between the 99 and 99.5 I looked it up I cant tell the difference .

No the front calipers will not fit. The rear calipers will though. You can do the A8TT brake upgrade in the front. Basically you use TT carriers and A8 rotors. PureMS has a nice kit to simplify it - httpwww.purems.comproductsproduct.phpII810 The differences in the 99 and 99.5 are mostly cosmetic. door handles rear tail lights something else no one cares about.

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B5 DIY Turbo Timer and Immobilizer 2 Bypass installation - detailed wiring explanations

INTRODUCTION Ive studied quite a few TT installation instructions online over the past few weeks and Ive noticed something about them -- they all focus much more on the fit and finish of the install than they do on describing the actual wiring clearly and in detail. So Im going to convey my experience with installing a TT on my B5. Im only going to address the electrical component because there are

Submitted by Bob Vernon (rvernon1san.rr.com) The chip is a constant topic on the VWvortex ClubB5.com and audiworld.com forums quite a phenomena The stock 1.8T is running with a light pressure turbo. I believe it runs at a little over 7psi. With the small turbo this reduces turbo lag and enables the turbo to spool up at very low RPMs hence the remarkably low beginning of the torque curve (as low as

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C III 204 Should I buy a C-Class

Hi guys Im new here.. The reason Ive joined this forums is that Im looking for a new car and I need your opinion. Im interested in a new C-Class.. This is the specific version 2012 MercedesBenz CClass - AutoComparison.com a C250 coupe.. Youre probably a little biased towards Mercedes but Im also looking for an audi A5 and the BMW 3-series. What would you guys advice

Ive owned an audi TT all wheel drive a BMW 325i and now a 2013 C250. The BMW had the most things go wrong and thank goodness I purchased the extra warranty because I needed it. Once the extended warranty ended at 75K miles it got very expensive to maintain so I traded it in on the C250. The audi was a fun car and very solid. I never had any real problems with it and it held the road in bad weather
